The ARIES Pro Series grille guard is unlike any other grille guard or brush guard on the road today because of its patented center crossbar. The ARIES Pro Series grille guard has a unique center crossbar that is able to house an LED light bar, allowing you to truly set your truck apart from all others. Rather than using a set of light clips or forcing you to drill holes into the frame, the aerodynamic crossbar of the Pro Series grille guard is the light bar housing itself. It uses a 30" slotted channel bracket to accept one or more single-row light bars (light bars not included; some 30" light bars may not fit the channel bracket). The crossbar mount can also articulate, allowing you to position the light beam at any angle you prefer. Integrating the channel mount into the crossbar housing also keeps the light bar protected from the elements. To further stylize your truck, the Pro Series grille guard also comes with an interchangeable grille guard cover plate. Included with each grille guard is a black mesh cover plate that easily bolts on and provides added security for your aftermarket lights. The mesh cover plate can be swapped out with other cover plate options, including five different styles and two finishes. Solid construction should be an essential feature of any grille guard, and the Pro Series grille guard is more than qualified. It has a one-piece design of 1/4" thick welded plates and 1-1/2" mandrel-bent carbon steel tubing. We also finish each Pro Series grille guard in a highly durable, dual-layer E-coat and textured black powder coat, giving it resilience to rust and scratches. This unique finish also helps hide minor scratches and grime to maintain a clean look. ARIES Pro Series grille guards are made vehicle-specific for seamless integration with the factory bumper and an easy, no-drill installation. This grille guard fits select model years of the Ram 1500, Ram 1500 Classic and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment).

The ARIES Pro Series Black Steel Grille Guard, Select Dodge, Ram 1500 Grille Guard (Part #BBDRP5058) fits 2009-2010 Dodge Ram 1500 models. The 2024 model year is the last year covered by this part number. For newer models, check for an updated version.
The ARIES Pro Series Black Steel Grille Guard, Select Dodge, Ram 1500 Grille Guard (Part #BBDRP5058) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The P5058 kit includes one grille guard, mounting brackets (upper frame brackets for non-tow-hook models, driver and passenger lower frame mounting brackets, driver and passenger upper and lower support brackets), a support flange, hardware (12mm and 8mm hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts), 8mm nut clips, and a wrench. An LED light is sold separately and must be sourced by the customer.
Yes, the P5058 is designed for 2009-13 Dodge Ram 2 & 4WD 1500 models. The installation procedure differs depending on whether your truck is equipped with tow hooks or not, so you will need to determine which configuration applies to your vehicle before beginning installation.
Yes. Trucks without tow hooks use two upper frame mounting brackets and a different mounting procedure at the bumper and frame. Trucks with tow hooks use the tow hook studs for mounting instead. The driver and passenger lower support brackets are used in both configurations but are oriented differently. The manual provides separate step-by-step instructions for each type.
The kit includes a wrench. You will also need a small flat blade screwdriver (to remove plastic push-in clips from the splash guard), wire cutters (to remove rivets from the splash guard if present), and tools to cut the splash guard (approximately 1/2" wide by 4" long slot). A drill may be needed if you are replacing splash guard rivets with the supplied 5mm bolts. Assistance is recommended during installation.
First, remove all contents from the box and verify that all parts are present by comparing them to the parts list. Read the installation instructions carefully before starting. Note that cutting is required and assistance is recommended.
Select your LED light (sold separately) and its mounting hardware and brackets. LED manufacturers provide different mounting styles, so follow the LED manufacturer's instructions to determine your mounting options. Once you have determined how to mount your specific LED light, attach it to the support flange as shown in Figure 1 of the manual. The manual does not provide specific hardware specifications for LED attachment.
Lay the grille guard face down on cardboard or a blanket to protect the finish. Place the support flange with the LED attached into the center flange of the grille guard. Attach each side of the support flange to the inner brackets inside the center flange using two 8mm hex bolts, two 8mm flat washers, and two 8mm lock washers per side. Snug but do not tighten the hardware at this time.
Carefully remove the plastic splash guard from the underside of the front bumper. The splash guard may be attached with hex bolts and two-piece plastic push-in clips. Remove all hex bolts first. For the clips, locate them behind the bumper cover, pry up the center pin with a small flat blade screwdriver, and remove the entire clip. If the splash guard is attached with rivets at the corners, use wire cutters to remove them. Pay close attention to the type and location of all factory hardware for reinstallation.
Remove the hex nuts from the two lower factory bumper bolts. Select one frame bracket and the driver side mounting bracket. Bolt them together using two 12mm flat washers, two 12mm lock washers, and two 12mm hex nuts; snug but do not tighten. Insert the assembled bracket up from behind the bumper and align the holes with the bumper bolts. Attach using the factory hex nuts and snug but do not tighten. Repeat for the passenger side. On some vehicles, it may be easier to assemble the two-piece bracket on the vehicle by installing the upper frame bracket first, then bolting the lower frame bracket to the bottom.
Install the driver side lower support bracket with the bent end toward the front of the vehicle. Bolt the support bracket to the inside of the lower mounting bracket using the top round hole in the lower mounting bracket. Use one 12mm x 35mm hex bolt, two 12mm flat washers, one 12mm lock washer, and one 12mm hex nut. Attach the flat end of the support bracket to the frame using one 12-1.5mm x 30mm special fine thread hex bolt, one 12mm flat washer, and one 12mm lock washer. The hole in the bottom of the frame is fine thread; only use the 12-1.5mm x 30mm hex bolt provided. Snug but do not tighten all hardware at this time. Repeat for the passenger side.
Remove the two hex nuts holding the front of the tow hook to the back of the bumper. Select the driver side lower mounting bracket and hang it from the tow hook mounting studs using the factory hex nuts. Do not tighten hardware at this time. Bolt the flat end of the driver side support bracket to the inside of the lower mounting bracket using the second round hole from the top. Use one 12mm x 35mm hex bolt, two 12mm flat washers, one 12mm lock washer, and one 12mm hex nut. Attach the bent end of the support bracket to the rear tow hook bolt by loosening the rear mounting bolt for the tow hook and inserting the slotted end under the head of the factory bolt. Snug but do not tighten all hardware at this time. Repeat for the passenger side.
Open the hood and move to the top of the grille opening. Remove the driver side inner headlight mounting screw. Insert the driver side top bracket between the radiator support and the headlight housing. Reinstall the factory hex bolt and snug but do not tighten at this time. Repeat for the passenger side top bracket. After the grille guard is bolted to the mounting brackets, line up each top bracket with the two threaded inserts in the bottom of the headlight guard tube and bolt the bracket to the inserts using two 8mm x 20mm button head Allen bolts, two 8mm x 22mm OD x 2mm flat washers, and two 8mm lock washers per side. Do not tighten hardware at this time.
With assistance, hold the grille guard up to the outside of the mounting brackets. Bolt the grille guard to the brackets using six 12mm x 35mm hex bolts, twelve 12mm flat washers, six 12mm lock washers, and six 12mm hex nuts. Do not tighten hardware at this time.
Slowly close the hood to check for clearance between the hood and the top brackets. Adjust the brackets as necessary, then snug but do not tighten the hardware. This is an important step to ensure the hood operates properly after installation.
Stand back from the vehicle and check that the grille guard is centered and level on the vehicle. Adjust as necessary. Once properly aligned, tighten only the hardware securing the lower frame mounting brackets to the truck. Do not tighten the hardware on the grille guard at this stage.
Yes, cutting is required. You must cut a slot in the splash guard to clear the support brackets. The slot should be approximately 1/2" wide by 4" long, but the exact size may vary depending on your truck's factory splash guard and bumper cover design. Additional cutting may be required on vehicles equipped with tow hooks. Make several small cuts first and check the fit often for a clean installation. Do not cut the slot larger than necessary or cut through the front or back edges of the splash guard.
Hold the splash guard up to the bumper cover and align it with the mounting points. Mark the location of the mounting brackets onto the back of the splash guard. Cut an approximately 1/2" wide by 4" long slot in the splash guard as pictured in the manual. The size of the slot is an estimate only and may vary due to different factory designs. Additional cutting may be required to clear the support bracket on vehicles equipped with tow hooks. To maintain the integrity of the splash guard, do not cut the slot any larger than necessary. Do not cut through the front or back edges of the cover. Make several small cuts first and check the fit often for a clean installation.
Yes. If the splash guard is attached with rivets at the corners, you can replace them with the supplied hardware: 5mm x 15mm button head Allen bolts, two 5mm flat washers per bolt, and 5mm nylon lock nuts. Use wire cutters to remove the original rivets, then install the new bolts.
Two 8mm hex bolts, two 8mm flat washers, and two 8mm lock washers are used per side to attach the support flange to the inner brackets inside the center flange of the grille guard.
Six 12mm x 35mm hex bolts, twelve 12mm flat washers, six 12mm lock washers, and six 12mm hex nuts are used to attach the grille guard to the mounting brackets.
Two 8mm x 20mm button head Allen bolts, two 8mm x 22mm OD x 2mm flat washers, and two 8mm lock washers per side are used to attach each top bracket to the threaded inserts in the bottom of the headlight guard tube.
Use one 12-1.5mm x 30mm special fine thread hex bolt, one 12mm flat washer, and one 12mm lock washer. This is critical because the hole in the bottom of the frame is fine thread. Only use the 12-1.5mm x 30mm hex bolt provided in the hardware kit; do not substitute a standard coarse-thread bolt.
Wax the grille guard after installing it. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives, as these could damage the finish.
After installation, perform periodic inspections to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight. The manual emphasizes checking hardware security as part of ongoing maintenance.
Perform periodic inspections of the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight. The manual does not specify an exact interval, but regular checks are recommended to maintain the integrity of the installation.
Yes, the P5058 is designed for 2009-13 Dodge Ram 2 & 4WD 1500 models. Installation differs for trucks with and without tow hooks.
No, the LED light is sold separately. You must source your own LED light and mount it to the supplied support flange following the LED manufacturer's instructions.
