Blue Ox is known internationally for recreational and commercial towing products, manufacturing in Pender, Nebraska since 1925. Blue Ox has manufactured since 1925 and is recognised internationally for towing products and customer service. The first step is to remove the nine (9) push pins from the fascia cover and set them aside (Step 1). Then remove the push pin from the top of the fascia (Step 2). This begins the process of removing the fascia and other components necessary to access the mounting points for the baseplate.
Yes, the windshield washer reservoir must be removed during installation. Using a 10MM socket, remove the three (3) screws from the washer reservoir and disconnect/plug all lines (Step 6). After the baseplate is installed, the washer reservoir bracket is installed onto the upper existing hole with the existing screw, and the washer reservoir is reinstalled (Step 18).
Several components must be removed: the temperature sensor from the underside of the bumper (Step 10), plastic shielding (3 push pins on each side; Step 9), metal shielding (bolt and nut on each side; Step 11), sensor brackets (2 screws on each side; Step 8), and the horn bracket on the driver side (1 screw; Step 7). After baseplate installation, the metal shields, sensor brackets, and horn bracket are reinstalled (Step 18), and the temperature sensor is relocated to a new 5/16" hole away from the attachment tube (Step 17).
