Whatever your task at hand -- whether it's launching that boat before daybreak, setting up your camper before the rush or getting a final load to the dump before close -- CURT class 3 trailer hitches offer the strength needed for serious towing. They make it easy to hitch up and Bring It, offering a vehicle-specific fit and the weight capacity to handle a variety of trailers. Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Audi Q5 and SQ5 (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 5,000 lbs. GTW and 500 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

The CURT 13646 has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 5,000 lbs and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 500 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
Yes, the CURT 13646 is designed to fit both early 2018-2025 and late 2025+ body styles. However, the installation steps differ between these versions, particularly for rear fascia removal, wheel well liner removal, liftgate access, and trunk floor support. Refer to the specific steps for your body style during installation.
Required tools are: ratchet, torque wrench, 10mm socket, 16mm socket, 17mm socket, 6" socket extension, T-20 Torx bit, T-25 Torx bit, trim panel pry tool, and pliers. A tools reference guide is available at curtmfg.com/trailer-hitch-installation.
The kit includes: 1 trailer hitch, 8 hex bolts (M10-1.5 x 45mm), and 8 conical-toothed washers (3/8"). All fasteners are used to secure the hitch to the vehicle frame and bumper beam.
No, drilling is not required. The installation involves temporary removal of the rear fascia, bumper beam, and trim components, but no holes need to be drilled into the vehicle.
Possibly. During installation, you must raise the hitch into position and check for contact with the exhaust heat shield. If contact occurs, bend or cut the heat shield as needed to avoid interference. This is a required modification only if contact is present.
All M10 hex bolts (part #2) securing the bumper beam and bracket to the hitch must be torqued to 45 ft-lbs. Use a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness and prevent damage to the product or vehicle.
Yes. The bumper beam and bracket must be temporarily removed to access the hitch mounting points. Remove the eight bolts securing the bumper beam using a 16mm socket, then reinstall it over the hitch after the hitch is positioned. Note: 2025+ models are not equipped with a bumper bracket.
Yes. The rear fascia must be temporarily removed to access the hitch mounting area. The removal process differs between 2018-2025 and 2025+ body styles and involves removing multiple screws from the bottom, wheel wells, liftgate area, and trunk. The fascia is reinstalled in reverse order after the hitch is secured.
The conical-toothed washers (#3) must be installed with the teeth facing the vehicle frame. Refer to the assembly diagram on page 2 for the correct orientation before tightening the M10 bolts.
Wear safety glasses at all times during installation. Do not start the vehicle while the fuse block connectors are disconnected, as this may require vehicle reprogramming by a dealership. Proper tools will improve installation quality and reduce time required.
Periodic inspection of the trailer hitch should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight and structural components are secure. Check that all M10 bolts remain torqued to 45 ft-lbs and that there is no movement or looseness in the hitch assembly.
The CURT 13646 fits 2018-2025 and 2025+ body styles. Installation steps vary between these versions. Consult the manual for your specific body style.
Yes. A torque wrench is required to properly tighten the M10 bolts to 45 ft-lbs. Improper torque can damage the product or vehicle.
The manual does not require battery disconnection. However, you must disconnect the fuse block connectors on the driver side and must not start the vehicle while they are disconnected, as this may require dealership reprogramming.
All M10 bolts must be torqued to 45 ft-lbs. Use a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness.
Gross trailer weight capacity is 5,000 lbs with a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
Verify all M10 bolts are torqued to 45 ft-lbs, all mounting hardware is tight, and the hitch has no movement or looseness. Perform periodic inspections to ensure the hitch remains secure.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
