The kit includes: (1) Wiring Harness with 4-Flat Connector, (1) 48" 4-Flat Extension, (20) 15" Cable Ties, (1) 4-Flat Bracket, and (3) #8 Self-Tapping Ground Screws.
The factory 4-pin connectors are located underneath the vehicle on the chassis near the rear frame on both sides of the vehicle. Before connecting the RV harness, unplug these connectors and inspect them for dirt and debris, cleaning if necessary.
Starting on the driver's side, position the RV harness with connectors containing Yellow wires between the separated vehicle harness connectors. Press the connectors firmly into the vehicle connectors until they lock into place. Pull on the connectors to ensure the locks are engaged. Repeat on the passenger side with the T-Connector ends containing the Green wire.
On the driver's side, locate the factory ground screws and remove one using a 10mm socket. Attach the ring terminal on the White wire to the ground screw you removed, then re-attach the 10mm bolt. This completes the ground connection for the harness.
Route the 4-Flat harness from the taillight connectors toward the brake lines near the rear tire, securing it with cable ties with no slack. Continue routing along the brake lines to the front of the vehicle, securing with cable ties as you go. Then route the harness up into the engine compartment along the factory wiring harness. Avoid areas with moving parts, fuel lines, or surfaces where wires could be cut, pinched or burned.
Yes. You must drill two 3/32" holes in the engine compartment along the driver's side in front of the battery to mount the 4-Flat bracket. Take care not to drill through the vehicle body or any exposed surface.

The 4-Flat Harness color code is: White = Ground, Brown = Tail Lights, Green = Right Turn and Brake Signal, Yellow = Left Turn and Brake Signal.
With the 4-Flat extension plugged into the RV harness on one end and the motorhome on the other, test that the functions work on the Chevrolet Avalanche. These functions will only work on the brake/tail combination lamp.
