Towing your vehicle behind your RV is a great way to experience more of the adventure on your cross-country excursions. Whether you're towing a compact car or a full-size truck, CURT has the perfect solution to help you Bring It! CURT towed-vehicle RV harnesses are a vehicle-specific, plug-and-play solution to wiring your vehicle for dinghy towing. They use original-equipment-compatible connectors to plug into your vehicle's wiring system without any cutting, splicing or soldering required. They provide a standard 4-way flat connector to plug into the RV socket and synchronize the vehicle's tail lights, turn signals and brake lights with the RV's. Because each towed-vehicle RV harness has a vehicle-specific design, installation is fast and easy. This particular RV dinghy towing wiring harness is designed for specific years of the Saturn Vue. CURT RV harnesses are also built to provide long-lasting operation. They feature integrated block diodes that protect the vehicle's circuits from the RV signals. They isolate the sensitive vehicle electronics, keeping them from overheating and short circuiting. Every CURT towed-vehicle RV harness comes ready to install with all necessary hardware included. They also come with a 4-way flat extension to provide plenty of length to plug into the RV socket, as well as a connector mounting bracket to mount the connector on the vehicle.

The CURT 58928 Custom Towed-Vehicle RV Wiring Harness for Dinghy Towing, Fits Select Saturn Vue (Part #BKDK58928) fits 2002-2007 Saturn Vue models. The 2007 model year is the last year covered by this part number. For newer models, check for an updated version.
The CURT 58928 Custom Towed-Vehicle RV Wiring Harness for Dinghy Towing, Fits Select Saturn Vue (Part #BKDK58928) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, the Curt 58928 is designed to fit Saturn VUE vehicles. It connects to the factory taillight connectors at the rear and routes a 4-Flat connector to the frame rail for RV towing.
You will need a Torx T15 screwdriver, 10mm socket, flat screwdriver, fish tape, and a drill with a 3/32" bit. The kit includes cable ties, screws, and a ground screw.
The manual does not specify whether the battery must be disconnected. Contact the manufacturer or a qualified installer for safety guidance before beginning.
Yes. You must drill one 3/32" hole near the RV harness ends for the ground wire ring terminal (Step 7), and two 3/32" holes on the frame rail to mount the 4-Flat bracket (Step 16). Take care not to drill through the vehicle body or exposed surfaces.
White = Ground, Brown = Tail Lights, Green = Right Turn and Brake Signal, Yellow = Left Turn and Brake Signal.
The harness functions will only work on the brake/tail combination lamp. Test all functions with the 4-Flat extension plugged into both the RV harness and motorhome before use.
The kit includes: (1) Wiring Harness with 4-Flat Connector, (1) 48" 4-Flat Extension, (20) 15" Cable Ties, (1) 4-Flat Bracket, and (3) #8 Self-Tapping Ground Screws.
Yes. The manual states that if you decide to leave the RV harness on the vehicle at all times and want to tow a trailer, you can simply plug in the 4-Flat harness part number 58919 and you're ready to tow. When not in use, store the 4-Flat extension in the vehicle's glove box.
The manual indicates that 58919 is a 4-Flat harness extension that can be plugged into the RV harness (58928) to enable trailer towing. The 58928 is the main RV harness kit; 58919 appears to be an optional add-on for trailer use.
Remove the two nuts holding the rear body panel to the vehicle on both sides using a 10mm socket (Step 3). This creates an opening through which you can route the RV harness connectors. After routing, reinstall the nuts.
Position the RV harness connector ends (green wires on passenger side, yellow wires on driver's side) between the separated vehicle harness connectors. Press the connectors firmly into the vehicle connectors until they lock into place. Pull on the connectors to ensure the locks are engaged.
Fish tape is used to route the harness through confined spaces. You route it through the bumper channel (Step 4), through the rear wheel well cover (Step 11), and through the front wheel well area (Step 14), then secure the harness to the fish tape and pull it through.
Locate a clean and accessible mounting location on the vehicle near the RV harness ends within reach of the white wire and ring terminal. Remove any debris or undercoating to expose clean metal, drill a 3/32" hole, and attach the ring terminal on the white wire using the ground screw provided.
Mount the 4-Flat bracket on the frame rail at the front of the vehicle. Use the bracket as a template to mark two holes, drill two 3/32" holes, and attach the bracket using two screws. Take care not to drill through the vehicle body or exposed surfaces.
Cut the cable ties on the 4-Flat portion (Step 9). Remove push clips in the driver's side rear wheel well (Step 10) and route the harness through using fish tape (Step 11). Remove 5 clips along the driver's side trim plate (Step 12) and route the 4-Flat up and over each trim plate, securing with cable ties. Remove push clips in the driver's front wheel well (Step 13), route through using fish tape (Step 14), and continue to the frame rail (Step 15).
Avoid areas that contain moving parts or could cut, pinch, or burn the wires. Do not route the harness near fuel lines, as this may cause fuel to ignite. Failure to follow these warnings may cause property damage, personal injury, or loss of life.
With the 4-Flat extension plugged into the RV harness on one end and the motorhome on the other, test that the functions work on the Saturn VUE. These functions will only work on the brake/tail combination lamp. Pull on all connectors to ensure locks are engaged.
Secure any loose wires at the rear of the vehicle using the cable ties provided. Reinstall the taillights to the vehicle. Store the 4-Flat extension in the vehicle's glove box when not in use.
Drill one 3/32" hole near the RV harness ends for the ground wire ring terminal. Drill two additional 3/32" holes on the frame rail to mount the 4-Flat bracket. Take care not to drill through the vehicle body or exposed surfaces.
Yes. Open the rear hatch and use a Torx T15 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the taillights in place. Gently pull the taillights away from the vehicle and unplug the factory connectors. After routing the harness, reinstall the taillights.
You must remove the two nuts holding the rear body panel to the vehicle on both sides using a 10mm socket. This creates an opening to route the RV harness connectors through. The nuts are reinstalled after routing.
