Choosing the right gooseneck hitch is only half the battle in preparing your pickup truck for towing a gooseneck trailer. CURT gooseneck hitches are a premium option in the heavy-duty towing industry, but they are only one of the members in the heavyweight tag team that is CURT gooseneck towing. While a gooseneck hitch gets all the glory above the floor of your truck bed, gooseneck installation brackets provide sure footing and a solid foundation for that oversized gooseneck trailer. Gooseneck installation brackets work by bolting onto the frame of your truck, typically using pre-existing holes. With a set of brackets firmly bolted on, a gooseneck hitch is able to be attached and is given the strength it needs to manage the massive amount of weight of a gooseneck trailer. With so many gooseneck hitch options available from CURT, we wanted to make sure we offered the gooseneck installation products needed to give you a complete towing package. Our installation brackets fit multiple vehicles and hitch heads. This particular set of gooseneck installation brackets is specifically designed to mount a CURT Double Lock EZr gooseneck hitch on certain years of the Ford F250 or F350 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). It features a laser-cut construction for a precise fit and is rated to the vehicle's maximum gross trailer weight capacity. With each gooseneck installation bracket sub kit, we provide the necessary hardware for an easier installation, and we coat our gooseneck brackets in a liquid A-coat to make sure rust and other potential damages are not a problem.

The CURT Double Lock EZr Gooseneck Installation Brackets, Select Ford F-250, F-350 Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Mount Kit (Part #BKDK60645) Drilling is required for installation. Typical installation time is . Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, the 60645 SUBKIT is designed for Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks. However, it is a subkit that requires the 60612 Center Section (sold separately) for complete installation. The subkit includes the cross arms and side plates that attach to the truck frame.
No. The 60645 SUBKIT is designed for use with the 60612 Center Section, but it is not included. You must purchase the center section separately.
The 60645 SUBKIT is designed for both short and long bed models. However, on short bed models you must check for adequate turning clearance between the front of all trailers and the truck cab before use. Page 4 provides a clearance calculation method to verify your specific trailer will not interfere with the cab.
Yes, the 60645 SUBKIT can be installed on two-wheel drive trucks. However, you must perform a clearance check when the truck is both loaded and unloaded to verify that the inverted ball will not interfere with the top of the differential. This check is required because the suspension height changes with load.
The following tools are required: safety glasses, ratchet, 3/4", 15/16", and 1 1/8" sockets, and a torque wrench. A torque wrench is essential because fasteners must be torqued to specific values: 3/4" fasteners to 380 ft-lbs, 5/8" fasteners to 210 ft-lbs, and 1/2" fasteners to 110 ft-lbs.
The subkit includes: 2 cross arms (60645-CA), driver side plate (60645-DSWA), passenger side plate (60645-PSWA), 10 1/2" serrated flange nuts (20-00062), 9 1/2" x 1-1/2" carriage bolts (10-10287), 1 1/2" x 1-1/4" carriage bolt (10-10278), 1 .250 x 1.25 x 2.50" square hole spacer (CM-SP17), 4 5/8" x 2" carriage bolts (10-10344), 4 .375 x 1.25 x 2.50" square hole spacers (CM-SP9), 4 5/8" serrated flange nuts (20-00105), 2 3/4" serrated flange nuts (20-00106), 2 carriage bolts (10-10532), 2 1/2" push nuts (20-00191), 2 .375 x 1.38 x 2.50" carriage spacers (60645-CBS), and 1 1/2" fishwire (1_2 FISHWIRE).
Yes. The first installation step is to temporarily remove the spare tire. This provides access to the area where the cross arms must be inserted between the truck bed and frame.
Yes. All models require modification or removal of the heat shield. The heat shield is located under the truck bed above the rear axle and must be peeled off before inserting the cross arms.
Brake, fuel, and electrical lines may need to be loosened or repositioned to provide clearance for new hardware. Check these lines during installation and adjust as needed. The manual does not provide specific procedures for this step; consult your vehicle service manual or a qualified technician if you are unsure.
Insert the cross arms (A) between the truck bed and frame from the outside of the truck in front of the rear tire, over the low point on the frame. Insert the first cross arm with holes facing the front of the truck. Once partially inserted, guide it from underneath the truck. It should span the frame rails and be positioned behind the shock mount bracket on the passenger side. Slide this cross arm as far rearward as possible. Insert the second cross arm the same way, but with holes facing the rear of the truck. Do not slide the second cross arm rearward yet.
Two optional push nut bolt retainers (part 60645-CBS) are included as a 'helping hand' during installation. They hold the center section in position while you align and attach the cross arms. To use them, insert two 1/2" x 1 1/2" carriage bolts through the centermost slots on the same side of the center section, ensure the serrations in the bolt retainers are angled away from the center section, and push the retainers onto the bolts using one of the included spacers as a tool.
The handle for the gooseneck will come out on the side where the handle guides are located in the center section. The manual shows driver side handle placement as an example. The exact placement depends on your center section configuration.
Slide the cross arms to the center section and rotate them into position so the legs with holes are against the center section. Attach using eight 1/2" x 1 1/2" carriage bolts (part 10-10287) and eight 1/2" flange nuts (part 20-00062). Insert the carriage bolts through the center and out the cross arms, then finger tighten only. Do not fully torque until step 8.
Loosely attach the driver side plate (60645-DSWA) to the frame by inserting a 1/2" x 1 1/2" carriage bolt (10-10287) with a spacer (CM-SP17) through the frame and out the plate. Also insert a 3/4" carriage bolt (10-10532) with a spacer (60645-CBS) through the inside of the frame and out the side plate, and attach with a 3/4" flange nut (20-00106). Note: Diesel models will need the 1/2" hardware fishwired into position using the fishwire technique shown on page 1.
Loosely attach the passenger side plate (60645-PSWA) by inserting a 1/2" x 1 1/4" carriage bolt (10-10278) down through the plate tab and frame, and attach with a 1/2" flange nut (20-00062). Also insert a 3/4" carriage bolt (10-10532) with a spacer (60645-CBS) through the inside of the frame and out the side plate, and attach with a 3/4" flange nut (20-00106).
Loosely attach each side plate to the cross arms by inserting two 5/8" x 2" carriage bolts (10-10344) with spacers (20-00105) through the plate and out the cross arms. Attach with two 5/8" flange nuts (20-00105). Repeat on the other side. Do not fully torque until step 8.
Verify that the sides of the center section are in the same location on the bed ribs. This ensures the center section is centered on the vehicle before final torquing.
Torque all fasteners in the following order: First, torque the center section to the front and rear cross arms. Second, torque the side plates to the truck frame on both sides. Third, torque the side plates to the front and rear cross arms. Use these torque values: 3/4" fasteners to 380 ft-lbs, 5/8" fasteners to 210 ft-lbs, and 1/2" fasteners to 110 ft-lbs.
All 3/4" fasteners on the 60645 SUBKIT must be torqued to 380 ft-lbs.
All 5/8" fasteners on the 60645 SUBKIT must be torqued to 210 ft-lbs.
All 1/2" fasteners on the 60645 SUBKIT must be torqued to 110 ft-lbs.
Yes. On short bed models, you must check for adequate turning clearance between the front of all trailers and the truck cab. Page 4 provides a clearance calculation method. Measure the distance from the cab to the ball center (X), subtract half the trailer width (Y), and verify the result is positive. If the result is negative, the trailer will interfere with the cab.
Use this formula: (X) - (Y) = (Z), where X is the distance from cab to ball center, Y is half the trailer width, and Z is the minimum clearance. If the trailer has a coupler overhang (W), use: [(X) - (W)] - (Y) = (Z). If Z is positive, the trailer will not interfere. If Z is negative, the trailer will interfere with the cab. Page 4 provides examples and a worksheet for your calculation.
On two-wheel drive trucks, a clearance check must be performed when the truck is both loaded and unloaded to verify that the inverted ball will not interfere with the top of the differential. This is necessary because suspension height changes with load, which affects the ball position relative to the differential.
Do not exceed the recommended vehicle towing weight. Exceeding this weight can damage the hitch and compromise safety. Consult your vehicle manual or the 60612 Center Section instructions for the specific towing weight limit.
Periodically check the gooseneck hitch to ensure that all fasteners are tight and that all structural components are sound. The manual does not specify an exact interval; however, regular inspection before towing is recommended to ensure safe operation.
The 60645 SUBKIT weighs 90 lbs.

Yes, it fits Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks. It requires the separate 60612 Center Section for complete installation.
Yes, but you must verify turning clearance between your trailer and truck cab using the calculation on page 4 before towing.
You need a ratchet, 3/4", 15/16", and 1 1/8" sockets, a torque wrench, and safety glasses. A torque wrench is essential for proper fastener torquing.
Torque 3/4" fasteners to 380 ft-lbs, 5/8" fasteners to 210 ft-lbs, and 1/2" fasteners to 110 ft-lbs. Torque in this order: center section to cross arms, side plates to frame, then side plates to cross arms.
Do not exceed the recommended vehicle towing weight. On short bed trucks, verify trailer clearance with the cab. On two-wheel drive trucks, check differential clearance when loaded and unloaded.
Periodically check that all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. Retorque fasteners if needed using the specified torque values.
