CURT OEM puck system 5th wheel legs allow for faster, easier and more secure installation of your CURT 5th wheel hitch. They utilize the truck bed mounting platform, called the puck system, built into certain pickups today with the towing prep package. Using a set of anchors, the legs quickly and easily drop into the pucks, instantly equipping the truck to accept a CURT 5th wheel hitch head. This set of 5th wheel legs is designed to fit the puck system in select model years of the Nissan Titan XD with 8-foot bed (see application info to verify fitment). With a gross trailer weight capacity of 20,000 lbs., the legs are compatible with most CURT 5th wheel hitches (weight capacities are limited to the lowest-rated towing component). The most unique feature of CURT OEM puck system 5th wheel legs is their quarter-turn anchoring system. This system is the key to streamlined 5th wheel towing. The legs can quickly be installed or removed from the truck bed as needed simply by turning the anchor handles. The quarter-turn anchors supply the necessary strength for towing heavy-duty 5th wheel trailers, and they feature an adjustable design to perfectly lock the hitch into place and eliminate any chucking noises. To give you confidence in every job you undertake with your truck, we give our OEM puck system 5th wheel legs a durable carbide black powder coat finish with a co-cured A-coat. This makes them highly resistant to scratches, rust and UV damage. We also back our 5th wheel legs with a limited lifetime warranty to put your mind at ease with every new mile.

The CURT Puck System 5th Wheel Legs, Select Nissan Titan XD, 8' Bed, 20K Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Mount Leg (Part #BKDK16026) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The CURT 16026 is a leg assembly for a 5th wheel hitch designed for Nissan trucks. It mounts to the truck bed using a puck system and connects to a 5th wheel head unit to enable towing of 5th wheel trailers. The legs feature locking T-bolts with handles that secure the hitch in place when deployed.
The CURT 16026 Nissan legs are compatible with the following CURT 5th wheel heads: 16520, 16540, 16530, and 16515.
The manual states the 16026 is designed for Nissan trucks but does not specify which models or years are compatible. Contact CURT at 877.287.8634 or consult a fitment database to confirm compatibility with your specific Nissan truck model and year.
You will need a ratchet and socket set. The manual rates the installation difficulty as Easy.
The 16026 includes one leg assembly and four Nylock nuts (M14 x 2, CL10.9). The manual also references fasteners provided with the 5th wheel head unit for assembling the legs to the head.
The 5th wheel head can be removed to ease installation, but it is not required. The manual states: 'Re-install the 5th wheel head if it was removed to ease installation.' This is optional based on installer preference.
First, remove the lynch pin securing the locking handle to the legs. Swing all three handles completely open and lower the legs into position in the truck bed. Ensure both locking bolts, spacers and the gooseneck locking stem drop into the mounting holes before attempting to close the handles. Then rotate the handles back to the closed position and re-insert the lynch pin to secure them.
Insert the fasteners provided with the 5th wheel head unit through the selected mounting holes and loosely secure them to the leg assemblies. Then torque all four M14 bolts to 100 ft-lbs. Position the leg assembly with the operating instruction label on the driver side of the tow vehicle.
Select a set of mounting holes that will allow sufficient clearance between the 5th wheel trailer and the sides of the tow vehicle. The manual does not specify exact clearance measurements, so consult the 5th wheel trailer manufacturer's specifications or contact CURT at 877.287.8634 for guidance.
Torque all four M14 bolts to 100 ft-lbs. This is the specific torque for the leg assembly to 5th wheel head connection and overrides the general M12 bolt specification of 28 ft-lbs listed in the torque table.
Use the following torque specifications unless otherwise noted: M6 bolt 3 ft-lbs, M8 bolt 7 ft-lbs, M10 bolt 16 ft-lbs, M12 bolt 28 ft-lbs (metric); 1/4" bolt 3 ft-lbs, 5/16" bolt 7 ft-lbs, 3/8" bolt 16 ft-lbs, 7/16" bolt 20 ft-lbs, 1/2" bolt 28 ft-lbs (SAE).
If one or more locking handles will not close, you must adjust the locking T-bolt. Remove the cotter pin securing the castle nut above the handle. Loosen the castle nut a 1/4-turn while pressing down on the T-bolt. Reattempt to close the locking handle. If it closes, re-secure the castle nut with the cotter pin. If it does not close, repeat the loosening step. Do not force the handle closed, as this may damage the locking bolt and handle, possibly resulting in trailer detachment.
Slight resistance should be felt as the handles are rotated closed. Both locking bolts must be engaged in the truck bed mounts and the castle nuts must be secured with cotter pins. Double check to ensure both handles are securely locked with the lynch pin.
Confirm both locking bolts are engaged in the truck bed mounts and the castle nuts are secured with the cotter pins. Double check to ensure both handles are securely locked with the lynch pin. Verify that the leg assembly is positioned with the operating instruction label on the driver side of the tow vehicle.
Keep the goose lock stem lubricated regularly using silicone spray or equivalent to prevent wear and rust. The manual does not specify a maintenance interval, so consult CURT at 877.287.8634 for recommended lubrication frequency.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The trailer and contents combined must not exceed the tow vehicle, hitch and/or trailer tow ratings. Exceeding rated capacity may result in separation and/or damage to the 5th wheel hitch, towing vehicle, trailer or cause death or serious injury. Consult your vehicle and trailer manufacturer documentation for specific capacity ratings.
Do not expose hands, body parts or clothing between the truck and trailer or the truck's bed sides and trailer. Never position yourself or others under the trailer's kingpin area (danger zone) during coupling and uncoupling. Improperly coupled trailers can separate and drop without notice. Extreme care should be observed to avoid serious injury to self, property and observers.
Forcing the handle closed may damage the locking bolt and handle, possibly resulting in trailer detachment. If the handle will not close with moderate pressure, you must adjust the locking T-bolt instead of forcing it.
