The CURT OEM puck system 5th wheel roller adapter for GM pickups combines the functionality of a CURT 5th wheel roller with the strength and convenience of GM's truck bed puck system. The adapter is designed to securely mount a CURT 5th wheel roller and hitch head into the bed of your Chevy or GMC truck, using the OEM puck system. It is designed to fit the puck system in select model years of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD with 6.5-foot bed (see application info to verify fitment) (compatible with CURT 5th wheel hitches only). It features a set of adjustable, quarter-turn anchors to quickly and easily drop into the pucks and provide a moveable platform for the 5th wheel coupling point. It features a capacity of 20,000 lbs. and is compatible with most CURT 5th wheel heads (weight capacities are limited to the lowest-rated towing component). Like our OEM puck system 5th wheel legs, the key feature of the GM 5th wheel roller adapter is its quarter-turn anchors. With the hitch head and roller initially bolted onto the adapter, the adapter can easily be dropped into place whenever needed and secured with the quarter-turn anchors. The anchors can also be adjusted to help eliminate chucking noises between the adapter and under-bed platform while towing. When you are finished towing, simply turn the anchors to remove the entire assembly within seconds. The CURT 5th wheel roller adapter for select Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks provides the ultimate in versatility for the CURT 5th wheel line. With a gross trailer weight capacity of 20,000 lbs., it is able to accept most CURT 5th wheel rollers, including the R16 and R20. It tested for safety in accordance with SAE J2638 and is coated in a highly durable carbide black powder coat finish to protect against scratches and rust.

Follow these steps: (1) Loosely assemble the front support assembly (#1) and rear support assembly (#3) with the two angle cross supports (#2) using the supplied hardware. (2) Remove the four lynch pins securing the locking handles, swing all four handles completely open, and lower the assembly into the truck bed, ensuring all four locking bolts and spacers drop into the mounting holes. (3) Rotate the handles back to the closed position and re-insert all four lynch pins. (4) Torque all eight M14 bolts to 100 ft-lbs to finalize assembly.
The rear mounting locations are larger than the two front mounts. Orient the large locking feet towards the rear of the vehicle. This ensures proper alignment with the truck bed's OEM puck system mounting holes.
If a handle will not close with moderate pressure, the T-bolt requires adjustment. Do not force the handle closed, as this may damage the locking bolt and handle, possibly resulting in trailer detachment. Refer to the T-bolt Adjustment section: remove the cotter pin securing the castle nut above the handle, loosen the castle nut a quarter-turn while pressing down on the T-bolt, and re-attempt to close the handle. Repeat as needed until all four handles close smoothly.
All eight M14 bolts must be torqued to 100 ft-lbs to finalize assembly. This torque is applied after the handles are closed and secured with lynch pins.
Once the 16023 adapter is installed and secured in the truck bed, attach your compatible roller (model 16550, 16560, or 16570) by securing it with the supplied hitch pins (1/2" x 2") and clips.
