The CURT SecureLatch adjustable lunette ring and channel set offers enhanced security and maximum versatility. Its integrated locking pin helps prevent coupling and theft when your trailer is left unattended, featuring holes in the bottom to accept a padlock. The pin can also be turned 90 degrees to allow you to hitch up your trailer. This lunette ring also offers flexible height adjustment. It can be moved up or down for more drop or rise as needed. The CURT SecureLatch lunette ring comes with an 11-3/4-inch tall x 2-3/4-inch inside width channel. It has a 3-hole bolt pattern. The lunette ring itself has a 3-inch inside diameter to couple to a pintle hook or ball and pintle combination, and it is rated for up to 40,000 pounds gross trailer weight. This SecureLatch lunette eyelet is made from austempered iron for superior strength and wear resistance, and it features a durable, dark grey teridium powder coat finish for resistance to the elements.

The CURT 48641 channel-mount lunette ring has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 40,000 lbs. Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, and for off-road applications, reduce this capacity by 25%.
The CURT 48641 is a channel-mount lunette ring designed to be welded to a trailer channel. The manual does not specify which trailer models or types are compatible. Contact CURT Manufacturing at 877-287-8634 or check the product listing for your specific trailer model to confirm fitment.
The kit includes: one channel-mount lunette ring, one channel-mount, one locking pin, six 5/8" washers, three 5/8" hex head bolts, and three 5/8" Nylock nuts. A padlock is not included and must be purchased separately.
You will need: a torque wrench, a ratchet, a 15/16" socket, a 15/16" wrench, and welding supplies. All welding must be performed by an AWS certified welder.
Yes. The mounting channel must be welded to a structure of sufficient strength to support the rated capacity of the lunette ring in accordance with SAE J847. All welding must be performed by an AWS certified welder. It is your responsibility to ensure the mounting structure is capable of supporting the rated capacity.
After the mounting channel has been welded in place by an AWS certified welder, secure the lunette ring to the trailer channel using the three 5/8" bolts, six washers, and three Nylock nuts. Tighten all hardware to 180 ft-lbs using a torque wrench. The product is rated for use in the rise position only; do not use in the drop position.
All 5/8" bolts must be tightened to 180 ft-lbs using a torque wrench.
Ensure the locking pin is in the unlocked position before hooking up the trailer. Remove the padlock, lift and turn the locking pin 90 degrees to the side as shown in the manual, then reinsert the padlock to keep the locking pin secure during travel.
Drop the locking pin into the locked position as shown in the manual, then install a padlock (not included) into the locking pin to secure it.
