Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

The Draw-tite Class 1 Trailer Hitch, 1-1/4" Square Receiver, Black for Select Ford Fiesta 24910 (Part #DT24910) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, part number 24910 is designed specifically for the Ford Fiesta Sedan. The hitch is rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 2000 lb (908 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 200 lb (90.8 kg). Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
You will need wrenches in 5/8" and 11/16" sizes, and a torque wrench. The fishwire required for installation is provided with the hitch. No drill bits are required as no drilling is necessary.
No, drilling is not required. The installation uses the vehicle's existing frame structure and access holes.
Tighten all 7/16 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·m) using a torque wrench.
The maximum gross trailer weight is 2000 lb (908 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 200 lb (90.8 kg). Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
The drawbar must be used in the RISE position only.
The hitch kit includes: 2 U-bolts (7/16-20), 4 conical washers (7/16), 4 nuts (7/16-20), 2 carriage bolts (7/16-14 x 1-1/2), 2 blocks (3/16 x 1 x 2), 2 lock washers (7/16), 2 nuts (7/16-14), and 1 fishwire. Additional fasteners are available separately in kit 24910F. The drawbar kit 3593 and ball 60342 are sold separately.
The fishwire is used to route the carriage bolt and block through the frame. You insert the coiled end of the fishwire through the forward attachment hole in the hitch, into the frame, and out the access hole. You then slide the block onto the fishwire and thread the carriage bolt into the coil, keeping them separate until they are inside the frame. The fishwire is then pulled to draw the bolt and block into position.
Place the U-bolts in the rearmost indentation in the frame extension, as shown in the installation diagram.
1. Place the U-bolts in the rearmost indentation in the frame extension. 2. Raise the hitch into place and loosely install the conical washers and 7/16-20 (fine thread) nuts. 3. Using the provided fishwire, insert the coiled end through the forward attachment hole in the hitch, into the frame, and out the access hole. Slide the block onto the fishwire and thread the carriage bolt into the coil, keeping them separate until inside the frame. Pull the carriage bolt and block into position with the thread showing below the hitch side bracket. Install the lock washer and 7/16-14 (coarse thread) nut. 4. Tighten all fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·m).
Fasteners should be loosely installed initially. In step 2, the conical washers and 7/16-20 nuts are installed loosely. In step 3, the lock washer and 7/16-14 nut are installed. All fasteners are then tightened to the required torque specification of 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·m) in step 4.
When you pull the carriage bolt and block into position using the fishwire, the threaded end of the carriage bolt should be visible and protruding below the hitch side bracket. This indicates the bolt is correctly positioned before you install the lock washer and nut.
The U-bolt nuts are 7/16-20, which indicates a fine thread specification. They are tightened to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·m).
The carriage bolt nuts are 7/16-14, which indicates a coarse thread specification. They are tightened to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·m).
The conical washers are 7/16 inch in size. Four are included in the kit, and they are installed with the U-bolts and 7/16-20 nuts.
The blocks are 3/16 inch thick by 1 inch wide by 2 inches long. Two blocks are included in the kit.
The carriage bolts are 7/16-14 (coarse thread) and 1-1/2 inches long. Two are included in the kit.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not attempt to repair a damaged hitch or ball.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
The 7/16-20 fasteners have a fine thread pitch (20 threads per inch) and are used for the U-bolts and their nuts. The 7/16-14 fasteners have a coarse thread pitch (14 threads per inch) and are used for the carriage bolts and their nuts. Both types are tightened to the same torque specification of 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·m).
The fasteners are included with the hitch kit 24910. Additional fasteners are available separately in kit 24910F if replacements are needed.
Yes, the drawbar kit 3593 and ball 60342 are sold separately and are not included with the hitch kit 24910.
The hitch complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
