Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

The Draw-tite Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2" Square Receiver, Black for Select Honda Element 75659 (Part #DT75659) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, part number 75659 is designed for all 2003-2008 Honda Element models, including the SC model. However, if you have an SC model, the plastic bumper fascia will require trimming during installation.
Yes, the hitch fits all SC models, but the plastic bumper fascia must be trimmed as part of the installation process.
The hitch has a maximum tongue weight of 350 lb and a maximum gross trailer weight of 3500 lb. However, you must not exceed the lower of the hitch rating or your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating.
You will need wrenches in 3/4" and 7/8" sizes, and a torque wrench to tighten the fasteners to specification. No drill bits are required as no drilling is necessary for this installation.
The fastener kit 75659F includes: four 1/2"-13 × 5-1/2" Grade 5 hex bolts, four 1/2" flat washers, four 1/2" conical toothed washers, four 1/2" hex nuts, four tube spacers, four 3/4" flat washers, one 3/8" U-bolt, and two 3/8" flanged hex locknuts.
No, no drilling is required. The hitch attaches to existing vehicle frame mounting points using the four 1/2" bolts provided in the fastener kit.
Tighten the four 1/2" bolts with a torque wrench to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m).
Tighten the 3/8" U-bolt with a torque wrench to 30 lb-ft (41 N·m).
1. Install the 1/2" bolts and 1/2" flat washers from outside the vehicle frame, and tube spacers and 3/4" flat washers from inside the frame on both sides, pulling bolts back so they barely protrude. 2. Raise the hitch into position carefully without dislodging the washers (or slide 3/4" flat washers into place after raising). 3. Push the 1/2" bolts through the hitch brackets on both sides, ensuring 3/4" flat washers are over tube spacers and between the frame and hitch bracket, then install conical washers and hex nuts and tighten loosely. 4. Install the 3/8" U-bolt over the vehicle trunk pan tie-down hook and through the center hitch bracket. 5. Install the 3/8" flanged hex locknuts on the U-bolt so it draws up evenly, tighten the U-bolt first, then tighten the four 1/2" bolts to 75 lb-ft.
The 3/4" flat washers should be positioned over the tube spacers and between the inside of the vehicle frame and the outside of the hitch bracket. You can either install them before raising the hitch into position or slide them into place after raising the hitch, whichever is more convenient.
The 3/8" U-bolt attaches over the vehicle's trunk pan tie-down hook and passes down through the center hitch bracket. The 3/8" flanged hex locknuts are then installed on the U-bolt to draw it up evenly.
No, tighten in a specific order: first tighten the 3/8" U-bolt to 30 lb-ft, then tighten the four 1/2" bolts to 75 lb-ft. The bolts should be loosely tightened in step 3 before final torquing.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A damaged hitch or ball must be removed and replaced immediately.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify a retorque interval, but regular inspection is essential for safe towing.
For 2003-2004 models, the wiring access location is SUV2. For 2005 and later models, the wiring access location is SUV1-2.
Yes, it fits all 2003-2008 Honda Element models including SC. SC models require plastic bumper fascia trimming.

3/4" and 7/8" wrenches and a torque wrench. No drilling required.
1/2" bolts: 75 lb-ft (102 N·m). 3/8" U-bolt: 30 lb-ft (41 N·m).
