Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

This is a weight-carrying hitch with a maximum gross trailer weight of 4500 lb. (2043 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 675 lb. (306 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
You will need: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets (3/4", 14mm, 17mm), 6" socket extension, and exhaust removal pliers.
Yes. You must lower the exhaust by removing two rubber hangers by the muffler and one rubber hanger just forward of the muffler. Be sure to support the exhaust when removing the hangers. The exhaust is reinstalled after the hitch is mounted.
Yes, if present. Remove the factory tow loop from the passenger side frame rail using a 14mm socket to remove two bolts. Return the bolts and tow loop to the vehicle owner.
Tighten all 1/2" GR5 hitch fasteners to 75 Lb.-ft. (102 N·M) and all M10 CL8.8 fasteners to 38 Lb.-ft. (52 N·M) using a torque wrench.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
The fastener kit (76244F) includes: 4 carriage bolts (1/2-13 x 4.50 Gr5), 2 blocks (0.25 x 1.50 x 4.00 with 2 square holes, Part No. 122251), 4 conical washers 1/2" (Part No. 01292008), 4 hex nuts (1/2-13 Gr5), 2 bolts (M10 x 1.25 x 30mm Cl8.8), and 2 conical washers 7/16" (Part No. 01292007).
The manual specifies this hitch is designed for 2018-Current Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross only. For fitment on other models, visit the manufacturer's website at www.horizonglobal.com or contact technical support at 800-632-3290.
1. Insert carriage bolts and blocks into existing holes in the frame rails, adjusting bolts to be flush with the inside of the frame rails. 2. Raise the hitch into position and push carriage bolts through the hitch holes. 3. Loosely install 1/2" conical washers (teeth side toward hitch) and hex nuts on carriage bolts. 4. Loosely install M10 hex bolts with 7/16" conical washers (teeth side toward hitch) into existing weld nuts in the bottom of frame rails. 5. Tighten all fasteners to specification using a torque wrench.
The teeth side of the conical washers must face toward the hitch. This applies to both the 1/2" conical washers and the 7/16" conical washers.
Raise the driver side of the hitch first, guiding the flange on the side bracket around the carbon canister. Then raise the passenger side into position. On the driver side, the carriage bolts are installed by reaching between the bumper fascia and over the top of the carbon canister.
Using a 14mm socket, remove two bolts from the passenger side frame rail. Remove the factory tow loop and return both the bolts and tow loop to the vehicle owner.
Remove two rubber hangers by the muffler and one rubber hanger just forward of the muffler. Be sure to support the exhaust when removing the hangers to prevent it from dropping.
Raise the exhaust back into position and reinstall the rubber hangers that were removed earlier. A soapy water solution applied to the rubber hangers will ease installation.
Tighten all 1/2" GR5 hitch fasteners to 75 Lb.-ft. (102 N·M) using a torque wrench.
Tighten all M10 CL8.8 fasteners to 38 Lb.-ft. (52 N·M) using a torque wrench.
Use a 14mm socket to remove the two bolts securing the factory tow loop from the passenger side frame rail.
The maximum tongue weight is 675 lb. (306 kg). Do not exceed this limit or the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Support the exhaust when removing hangers to prevent injury.
Always wear your seatbelt. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. Load the trailer heavier in front. Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or the hitch rating (4500 lb. GVWR, 675 lb. tongue weight).
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual emphasizes that proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue using a damaged hitch.
No. The hitch uses existing holes in the frame rails. The manual states to insert carriage bolts and blocks into existing holes in the side of the frame rails. No drilling is required.
No. The manual explicitly states: DO NOT cut, weld or modify this receiver. Cutting or welding will void the warranty and compromise the structural integrity of the hitch.
Loose fasteners indicate the hitch is not securely mounted. Check that all 1/2" GR5 fasteners are tightened to 75 Lb.-ft. (102 N·M) and all M10 CL8.8 fasteners are tightened to 38 Lb.-ft. (52 N·M) using a torque wrench. The manual emphasizes that proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure when towing.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
