Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

Yes. Part numbers 76473, 84473, and CQT76473 are designed for 2021-current Mercedes GLA250 models. Visit the manufacturer's website for the most up-to-date information regarding specific application years and trim levels.
The maximum gross trailer weight is 3500 lb (1587 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 525 lb (238 kg) for the weight-carrying version. Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating or these limits.
Required tools include: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets (8mm, 10mm, 16mm, 3/4"), 6" socket extension, marker, T25 star drivers, tin snips, drill, 17/32" drill bit, and a universal joint socket.
Yes. You must lower the exhaust system before installation. Using a 10mm socket, remove one bolt from the rearward driver exhaust hanger and repeat on the passenger side. Using a 16mm socket, remove two bolts from the mid-vehicle exhaust hanger. Disconnect the sensor on the passenger side exhaust before lowering. Set the removed bolts aside for reinstallation after the hitch is mounted.
Yes. You must drill two ½" holes, one on each side of the vehicle. Raise the hitch into position and align it with the two foremost attachment holes. Use a marker to mark the drill point at the center of the 2nd rearmost hole of the bracket on both sides. Ensure the hitch sits straight at the marked location, then lower the hitch and drill the ½" holes using a drill.
Yes. Using an 8mm socket, remove five screws from the underside of the vehicle (three near the center fascia, one per side near the exhaust) and four nuts from the center of the heat shield. Remove and set aside the heat shield. Using tin snips, trim the heat shield as shown in the installation manual Figure 2. Reinstall the heat shield using the four nuts and three screws removed earlier. Note: two screws will not be reused.
Tighten all ½"-13 Grade 5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m). Tighten all M8 fasteners to 20 lb-ft (27 N·m). Use a torque wrench to achieve proper torque, which is necessary to keep the hitch securely mounted to the vehicle when towing.
The fastener kit 76473F includes: four ½" pull wires, four ½" conical tooth washers, four ½"-13 Grade 5 hex nuts, two ¼" × 1.0" × 3.0" spacers, two ¼" × 1.0" × 2.0" spacers, four ½"-13 × 1.75 carriage bolts, two 3/8" flat washers, and four M8 × 1.25 hex bolts.
Using the pull wire, feed the carriage bolts and spacers into the frame rails and bracket holes starting from the foremost frame rail hole. Raise the hitch into position and align the holes with the holes in the frame rail. Remove the pull wires and loosely install the M8 bolts, conical washers, flat washers, and hex nuts to the hitch. Kink the pull wire to keep the spacer independent of the bolt during insertion.
1. Lower the exhaust system and disconnect the passenger side sensor. 2. Remove and trim the heat shield. 3. Remove frame rail hardware using a T25 star driver. 4. Drill two ½" holes on both sides. 5. Install the hitch using the pull wire method and loosely install fasteners. 6. Tighten all fasteners to specification using a torque wrench. 7. Reinstall the exhaust and sensor.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Verify that the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle. If the hitch is damaged, it should be removed and replaced.
Load the trailer heavier in front. Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating or 3500 lb GVWR / 525 lb tongue weight. Always wear your seatbelt. Slow down when towing and never exceed posted speed limits. If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply brakes and do not speed up.
No. Do not cut, weld, or modify the receiver. Doing so may compromise the structural integrity and safety of the hitch.
