Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

Yes. The manual states: "If you do not feel comfortable performing this installation on your own or are in need of assistance, please contact a professional installer." Average installation time for professional installers is 75 minutes.
Tighten all 1/2" GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m) and all M10 fasteners to 38 lb-ft (52 N·m) using a torque wrench.
Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or: Max Gross Trailer Weight 4500 lb (2041 kg), Max Tongue Weight 675 lb (306 kg). This applies to both weight-carrying and weight-distributing hitch types.
Yes. Step 3 requires removing the bumper and lowering the exhaust for clearance. Remove M10 nuts from top bumper attachments (2 each side) and M10 bolts from bottom bumper attachments (2 each side) using a 15mm socket. Support the exhaust system to prevent damage.
No drilling is required. The hitch uses existing frame attachment holes and access holes. The manual explicitly states: "Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch."
Fastener kit 76499F includes: (4) carriage bolts 1/2"-13 x 1 1/2" GR5, (4) spacers 1/4" x 1" x 2", (4) conical washers 1/2", (4) hex nuts 1/2"-13 GR5, and (4) fish wires 1/2".
Install conical washers with the teeth side facing toward the hitch. The washer sits between the carriage bolt and the nut.
The supplied fish wires (pull wires) are used to guide the carriage bolts and spacers through the vehicle frame from the access holes. Thread the bolts through the frame using the fish wires to help position them correctly before installing the conical washers and nuts.
1. Remove hitch access panel screws (T15 torx). 2. Open tailgate. 3. Remove taillight cover screw (T15 torx, 1 each side). 4. Apply masking tape around wheel well and taillight areas. 5. Remove wheel well liner fascia screws (T15 torx, each side). 6. Remove screw at bottom of fascia near wheel well liner (T15 torx, each side). 7. Starting at bottom, pull out tab and gently pry wheel well trim using trim tools. 8. Remove screw behind wheel well trim connecting fascia to vehicle body (7mm socket, 1 each side). 9. Remove screws from bottom of fascia near hitch access panel (7mm socket). 10. Starting from wheel well, gently pull off fascia. 11. Unplug electrical connectors.
Reverse the removal process from Step 2. Reconnect all electrical connectors that were disconnected. The hitch access panel may be replaced when the hitch is not in use.
Raise the hitch into position, aligning the slots in the hitch with the attachment holes in the vehicle frame. Use the supplied pull wires to guide the carriage bolts and spacers into the frame.
Lower the exhaust for clearance. Be sure to support the vehicle exhaust system to prevent damage. After installing the hitch, raise the exhaust hangers back into position and reinstall the bolts that were removed earlier.
Yes. The M10 nuts from the top bumper attachments should be set aside for re-attachment. After installing the hitch, these nuts from the vehicle bumper may be re-installed at the time of exhaust hanger reinstallation or returned to the vehicle owner.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Support the exhaust system to prevent damage. Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing. Periodically verify that all fasteners are tight and the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle.
Load the trailer heavier in front. Always wear your seatbelt. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up.

Check all fasteners and retorque them to the correct specification: 1/2" GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m) and M10 fasteners to 38 lb-ft (52 N·m). The manual states: "Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing." Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain properly tightened.

Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
