The fastener kit 76641F includes: (4) carriage bolts 1/2-13 x 1.75 Gr5, (4) spacer blocks 1/4 x 1.00 x 2.00, (4) conical washers 1/2, (4) hex nuts 1/2-13 GR5, and (4) pull wires 1/2. All fasteners are used on both sides of the vehicle (2 per side).
No drilling is required. The hitch uses existing holes in the frame rails and fasteners are pulled through using pull wires. However, the bumper fascia must be trimmed with a notch approximately 4-1/2" tall by 3-1/2" wide, and excess caulking must be removed from the frame rails.

1. Lower muffler (support exhaust with strap). 2. Loosen bumper fascia (remove Torx screws and push-pin fasteners). 3. Remove rubber plugs and adhesive tape from frame rails. 4. Trim fascia notch (4-1/2" x 3-1/2"). 5. Remove excess caulking from frame rails. 6. Modify exhaust hangers (remove prongs). 7. Install fasteners using pull wires through frame rails. 8. Raise hitch into position, install forward ends first with receiver tube angled downward, feed pull wires through hitch mounting holes, pull fascia down, rotate hitch into position, align holes, pull bolts through, remove pull wires, loosely install conical washers and hex nuts. 9. Torque all 1/2-13 Gr5 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M). 10. Raise muffler and torque M8 fasteners to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N·M). 11. Reattach bumper fascia and adhesive patch.
Step 7 uses pull wires to install fasteners inside the frame rails. Feed the coiled end of each pull wire through an existing hole on the outer side of the frame rail and out through the access hole in the bottom of the frame (2 per side). Attach the 1/2" carriage bolts and 1/4" spacer blocks to the pull wires and pull the fasteners inside the frame rails. Leave pull wires attached temporarily. In Step 8, feed all pull wires through the mounting holes in the hitch, then pull the bolts through the hitch into position and remove the pull wires.
In Step 8, after pulling the bolts through the hitch into position, loosely install the conical washers and hex nuts onto the carriage bolts (4 places, 2 per side). Do not fully tighten them at this stage. All 1/2-13 Gr5 fasteners are then torqued to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M) in Step 9 using a torque wrench.
In Step 8, raise the hitch into position by installing the forward ends of the side brackets first with the receiver tube angled downward. After feeding the pull wires through the mounting holes and pulling the fascia down, rotate the hitch into position to align the holes with the frame.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Support the exhaust system with a strap before removing hangers. Do not cut wiring inside the fascia. Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes.
