Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

Part number 41534 is designed for Chevrolet Silverado Pickup and GMC Sierra Pickup vehicles with amber turn signals, model years 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, and 2006. Verify your vehicle's model year and turn signal colour before purchasing. The hitch uses existing frame weldnuts and M14 bolts, so no frame drilling is required.
On vehicles without a factory bumper, it may be necessary to relocate the license plate mounting bracket. Vehicles with factory bumpers typically do not require relocation. Inspect your vehicle's bumper configuration before installation to determine whether bracket relocation is needed.
You will need wrenches in the following sizes: 13/16", 7/8", 15/16", and 21mm. A torque wrench is required to tighten fasteners to specification. No drill bits are needed, as the installation uses existing frame holes and weldnuts.
Fastener Kit F41534 is included and contains: 2× Bolt 9/16-12 × 1.75, 6× Carriage Bolt 1/2-13 × 1.75, 2× Flat Washer, 6× Conical Washer, 2× Lock Washer, 4× Spacer, 2× Spacer 0.25 × 1.50 × 3.00, 2× Hex Nut 9/16-12, and 6× Hex Nut 1/2-13. The existing M14 bolts from the vehicle frame are reused.
The manual does not specify whether battery disconnection is required. Contact the manufacturer or a qualified installer for guidance on this step.
1. Remove existing M14 bolts from the end of each frame rail. 2. Lift the receiver into position, locating the rearmost slots in the receiver under existing weldnuts in the vehicle frame (or over the fore/aft slot near the end of the frame for vehicles without bumpers). 3. Reinstall existing M14 bolts through the receiver and frame into existing weldnuts. 4. Install remaining fasteners as shown in the diagram. Refer to Figure 2 for placement on vehicles without bumpers.
Orient the short side of the spacer block against the frame, as shown in Figure 2. This positioning is required for vehicles without factory bumpers to ensure correct hitch alignment.
No drilling is required. The hitch uses existing frame holes and weldnuts. The manual lists "Drill Bits: None" in the Equipment Required section.
Tighten all M14 CL10.9 fasteners with a torque wrench to 115 Lb.-Ft. (156 N·m).
