The factory step bumper and bumper support must be removed. Specifically: (1) Disconnect electrical plugs and remove the wire retainer from the bumper support structure. (2) Remove the step bumper by removing two bolts on each side of the bumper brackets (four bolts total). (3) Remove the bumper support by removing four bolts from the bottom of the frame and two M8 bolts at the spare tire cradle. Keep the M8 bolts for reinstallation.
