Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

The hitch has two rating options depending on type: Weight Carrying hitch supports a maximum gross trailer weight of 10,000 lb (4,540 kg) with a maximum tongue weight of 1,000 lb (454 kg). Weight Distributing hitch supports a maximum gross trailer weight of 14,000 lb (6,350 kg) with a maximum tongue weight of 1,400 lb (635 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Required tools are: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, 10mm socket, 15mm socket, 21mm socket, 6-inch socket extension, 1/2-inch hex bit, adjustable wrench, and plastic trim tools. The installation time for professional installers averages 70 minutes.
Yes. Step 4 of the installation instructions requires you to remove the factory 7-way connector and spare tire removal access by squeezing the clips and pushing outward. These are reinstalled in Step 9 after the hitch is secured.
Yes. Step 5 requires removal of the top plastic cover from the rear bumper using plastic trim tools. Carefully pry upward on an outside edge and work towards the middle of the vehicle, pushing on the retainers when accessible. The bumper cover is reinstalled in Step 9.
Some models may require adjustment to the factory safety chain loops to provide clearance for the hitch pin. If needed, use an adjustable wrench to bend the loops upward as necessary. This is not required for all vehicles.
Partial exhaust removal is required for vehicles with dual exhaust systems. Step 1 requires removal of the exhaust hanger bracket on the driver side using a 15mm socket, and removal of the passenger side exhaust hanger bracket hardware (leaving the bracket on the hanger). Step 2 requires removal of three hex bolts securing the driver side exhaust bezel using a 10mm socket. Vehicles without dual exhaust systems skip to Step 3. The exhaust components are reinstalled in Step 8.
Yes. Step 3 requires removal of two existing factory M14 bolts from the frame on both sides of the vehicle using a 21mm socket. These factory bolts are set aside and then reused in Step 6 to loosely secure the hitch to the vehicle frame.
All M14 fasteners must be tightened to 115 ft-lb (156 N·m) using a torque wrench. This is performed in Step 7 after the hitch is positioned and loosely secured.
The 3/4-inch flat head socket cap screw (part of Fastener Kit 41553F, qty 1, size 3/4"-10 X 3 1/4") must be tightened to 250 ft-lb (339 N·m) using a torque wrench. This is performed in Step 7 after the hitch is positioned and loosely secured.
For vehicles with dual exhaust: (1) Remove exhaust hanger bracket (driver side) using 15mm socket; (2) Remove driver side exhaust bezel using 10mm socket; (3) Remove two factory M14 bolts from frame using 21mm socket; (4) Remove factory 7-way connector and spare tire access; (5) Remove top bumper cover using plastic trim tools; (6) Raise hitch into position and loosely secure using factory bolts and provided 3/4-inch flat head socket cap screw; (7) Tighten M14 fasteners to 115 ft-lb and 3/4-inch fastener to 250 ft-lb; (8) Reinstall exhaust components; (9) Reinstall bumper cover, 7-way connector, and spare tire access. Vehicles without dual exhaust skip steps 1-2 and proceed to step 3.
In Step 6, loosely secure the hitch to the vehicle frame using the factory bolts and the provided flat head socket cap screw. Do not fully tighten at this stage. All fasteners are tightened to their final torque specifications in Step 7 using a torque wrench: M14 fasteners to 115 ft-lb (156 N·m) and the 3/4-inch fastener to 250 ft-lb (339 N·m).
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball that has been damaged should be removed and replaced.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing. Periodically verify that all fasteners remain tight and the hitch is securely mounted to your vehicle.
Check all fasteners periodically to ensure they remain tight and the hitch is securely mounted to your vehicle. The manual does not specify an exact interval, but recommends frequent checking.
Always wear your seatbelt. Load the trailer heavier in front. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or the hitch rating (10,000 lb GVWR / 1,000 lb tongue weight for Weight Carrying; 14,000 lb GVWR / 1,400 lb tongue weight for Weight Distributing). If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up.

Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
