Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

You will need a ratchet, torque wrench, sockets, and safety glasses. The fastener kit 75232F is also required.
Yes, you must lower the spare tire before beginning installation to ease access. Raise it back into position after completing step 7.
Tighten all ½" carriage bolts to 75 lb-ft (102 N·M). The M14 factory fasteners must be tightened to 122 lb-ft (165 N·M) using a torque wrench.
Maximum Gross Trailer Weight is 10,000 lb (4,536 kg) with a maximum tongue weight of 1,000 lb (454 kg) for weight-carrying mode. For weight-distributing mode, maximum is 12,000 lb (5,443 kg) GVWR with 1,200 lb (544 kg) tongue weight. Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
No, you do not remove the bumper beam. You remove only the existing M14 bolt connecting the bumper beam to the frame rail on both driver and passenger sides, save these bolts for reinstallation, and use the fishwire technique to route the carriage bolts through the bumper beam and frame.
The fastener kit includes: (4) carriage bolts ½-13 x 1.75 Gr5, (4) conical tooth washers 1/2", (2) spacers with square hole .25 x 1.50 x 3.00, (2) spacers with square hole .25 x 1.00 x 3.00, (2) spacers with round hole .188 x 1.50 x 2.00, (4) hex nuts ½-13, and (4) pieces of ½" fishwire.
The fishwire technique uses ½" fishwire to route the carriage bolts and spacers through the frame rails and bumper beam. In step 3, you reverse fishwire items 1 (carriage bolts) and 4 (spacers) through the large round holes in the frame rails. In step 4, you fishwire items 1 and 3 through the bumper beam ends and out the forward slot. The fishwire is kinked to keep the spacer independent of the bolt during routing.
Yes. The installation diagram shows two hole options: use the hole for short-bed trucks or the hole for long-bed trucks. Select the appropriate hole based on your truck's bed length.
1. Lower spare tire. 2. Remove existing M14 bolts from bumper beam to frame connection (save for reuse). 3. Reverse fishwire carriage bolts and spacers through frame rail holes. 4. Fishwire carriage bolts and spacers through bumper beam. 5. Raise hitch and loosely install conical washers, spacers (between frame and hitch), and hex nuts. 6. Reinstall the M14 fasteners. 7. Tighten all ½" bolts to 75 lb-ft and M14 fasteners to 122 lb-ft using a torque wrench. 8. Raise spare tire.
Spacers are installed between the frame rail and the hitch. In step 5, you install conical washers, spacers, and hex nuts onto the carriage bolts. The spacers (.25 x 1.50 x 3.00 and .25 x 1.00 x 3.00 with square holes, and .188 x 1.50 x 2.00 with round holes) are positioned between the frame and hitch to ensure proper alignment and load distribution.
The M14 fasteners that connect the bumper beam to the frame rail must be tightened to 122 lb-ft (165 N·M) using a torque wrench. These are the original factory bolts that you remove in step 2 and reinstall in step 6.
If excessive sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up.
Load the trailer heavier in front. This helps maintain stability and control while towing.
Yes. Do not cut, weld, or modify this receiver. Any modification will compromise the structural integrity and safety of the hitch.
Check all fasteners frequently to ensure they are tight and the hitch is securely mounted to your vehicle. Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure during towing.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue using a damaged hitch.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
The average installation time is 40 minutes for professional installers. If you do not feel comfortable performing this installation on your own or are in need of assistance, please contact a professional installer.
The hitch receiver opening is 22mm or 3/4" as shown in the hitch illustration.
In step 5, you loosely install the conical washers, spacers, and hex nuts. Then in step 7, after reinstalling the M14 fasteners, you tighten all ½" bolts to 75 lb-ft and M14 fasteners to 122 lb-ft using a torque wrench. This two-stage process ensures proper alignment before final tightening.
Yes. The manual instructs you to save the M14 bolts removed in step 2 for reinstallation in step 6. These are the factory fasteners connecting the bumper beam to the frame rail.
The carriage bolts are ½-13 x 1.75 Gr5 (Grade 5). Four bolts are included in the fastener kit. They are tightened to 75 lb-ft (102 N·M).
The conical tooth washers are 1/2" diameter. Four washers are included in the fastener kit. The teeth side must be placed against the hitch.
The hex nuts are ½-13 size. Four nuts are included in the fastener kit and are tightened to 75 lb-ft (102 N·M) as part of the ½" bolt assembly.
The conical tooth washers (with teeth side against the hitch) are part of the fastening system that secures the hitch to the vehicle frame. They work with the carriage bolts, spacers, and hex nuts to distribute load and maintain a secure connection.
