Yes. On the passenger side, you must locate and remove three 8mm bolts securing the plastic under-tray, then pull it down and out of the way. After installing the mounting bracket, you will cut a slot in the under-tray where it contacts the bracket and reattach it using the same hardware.
Yes. The driver-side mounting bracket is attached by reusing the two lower factory bumper mounting bolts. Remove these bolts, attach the bracket, and secure it with the factory hardware.
1. Remove the two lower bumper mounting bolts on the driver side and attach the driver-side bracket using factory hardware. 2. On the passenger side, remove three 8mm bolts from the plastic under-tray and pull it down. 3. Install the passenger-side bracket using the same method as the driver side. 4. Secure the grille guard ring assembly to both lower mounting brackets using the supplied M12 hardware and tighten all bolts. 5. Mark and cut a slot in the under-tray where it contacts the bracket, then reattach the under-tray.
No drilling is required. The installation uses existing factory bumper mounting bolt holes on both sides. However, you must use a utility knife or cutting tool to cut a slot in the plastic under-tray on the passenger side where it contacts the mounting bracket.
M12 bolts must be tightened to 70 ft-lbs. This applies to the six M12 bolts securing the grille guard ring assembly to the mounting brackets.
Use only mild automotive detergent to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or similar products, as these may damage the finish.
After installation, perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. The manual recommends checking that all grille guard mounting hardware is secure and that the under-tray is properly reattached.
