LUVERNE Grip Step wheel-to-wheel running boards equip your pickup truck for whatever job lies ahead. They offer easier truck bed access, fleet-level safety, a highly rust-free construction and a custom fit for your truck and lifestyle. Grip Step wheel-to-wheel steps are the ideal solution for better truck bed access. Whether you need to reach a truck tool box, ladder rack or some cargo in the truck bed, the wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long, providing a convenient step up for reaching into the truck bed. Grip Step running boards are also built for hard work, featuring expanded metal treads that offer fleet-approved safety. The open treads ensure maximum traction for your boots -- whether rain or shine -- and they also help keep your truck's interior clean by allowing dirt, snow and debris to pass through the boards. For superior resistance to the elements, Grip Step wheel-to-wheel running boards are made from aluminum alloy. They're strong, lightweight and highly corrosion-resistant. To maximize this corrosion resistance, the running boards and brackets are both shielded in a durable black powder coat finish. The running boards also feature hardened plastic end caps that eliminate sharp corners and add a professional touch. All LUVERNE Grip Step wheel-to-wheel steps are designed for vehicle-specific applications. This ensures a custom fit and the easiest possible installation. The running boards mount with vehicle-specific brackets and use pre-existing mounting points to avoid difficult modifications. This particular set of wheel-to-wheel running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
Grip Step wheel-to-wheel running boards are designed to be the best running boards for work trucks, featuring a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the Model 415114 Grip Steps board is designed for universal applications. The board can be cut to different lengths to fit many vehicle types, provided you have the appropriate bracket package for your specific vehicle.
Before starting installation, read all instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the service parts list are on hand. For the Model 401438, you will also need to follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle.
Yes, the board can be modified from its original length to fit many applications. Cut the board to the desired length using a saber saw, chop saw, or hack saw. After cutting, use flat black paint to touch up the cut ends.
You will need a saber saw, chop saw, or hack saw to cut the board to length. You will also need flat black paint to touch up the cut ends. A wrench or socket set will be needed to tighten the carriage bolts and flange nuts to the specified torque.
1. Slide the appropriate number of support braces (item #2) into the channel of the step board (item #1). 2. Slide the end cap (item #3) over the front and rear of each step. 3. Using the supplied #8 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screw (item #8), screw the end cap to the bottom of the step.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets and slide each support brace over the top of each mounting bracket. 2. Attach the flat spacer plate (item #4) to the bottom of the step, between the support brace and the top of the mounting bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" carriage bolt, washer, and flange nuts (items #5, 6, 7), attach the step assembly, flat spacer plate, and mounting bracket. Leave fasteners finger tight initially.
All fasteners on the Model 415114 Grip Steps must be torqued to 19 LB FT (foot-pounds).
1. Install mounting brackets to the rocker panel (steps 2.1-2.10, with different procedures for trucks with or without threaded inserts). 2. Attach mounting brackets to the shackle mount of the suspension (steps 3.1-3.2). 3. Install the step plates and adjust all brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners (step 4).
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) up to the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 2. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #9) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, add a 1/4" flat washer (item #10) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #11), and leave finger tight. 4. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (item #12) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #13) through the slots on the upper mounting flange and leave finger tight. 5. Repeat for middle and rear brackets (item #2). 6. Mirror this process on the passenger side, using item #2 for the front bracket and item #1 for the middle and rear brackets.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (item #15) into the large obround hole on the vertical wall of the rocker panel, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (item #16) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. 2. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) up to the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 3. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 4. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #9) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, add a 1/4" flat washer (item #10) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #11), and leave finger tight. 5. Place a flat washer (item #13) and M8 flange nut (item #14) on the threaded stud of the T-bolt and leave finger tight. 6. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. 7. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (item #12) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #13) and leave finger tight. 8. Repeat steps 2.5-2.8 for middle and rear brackets (item #2). 9. Mirror this process on the passenger side.
1. Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. 2. Slide the upper mounting bracket (item #3) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. 3. Tighten down the bolt, making sure that the upper mounting bracket (item #3) is level.
Fasten the lower bracket (item #5) to the upper bracket (item #3) using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and nut (items #6, 7, 8) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket. Make sure the lower bracket sits level to the front brackets.
Install the step plates and adjust all brackets and boards to the correct position before tightening all fasteners. This ensures proper alignment and fit.
The Model 401438 kit includes: 3 front/middle left-hand brackets (item #1), 3 front/middle right-hand brackets (item #2), 1 left-hand inboard upper bracket (item #3), 1 right-hand inboard upper bracket (item #4), 2 left/right lower brackets (item #5), 4 flat washers 3/8" (item #6), 4 serrated flange nuts 3/8-16 (item #7), 4 hex head screws 3/8-16 x 1.0" (item #8), 12 carriage bolts 1/4-20 x 1.0" (item #9), 12 flat washers 1/4" (item #10), 12 flange nuts 1/4-20 (item #11), 12 hex head screws M8 x 25mm (item #12), 12 flat washers 5/16" (item #13), 6 hex flange nuts M8 (item #14), 6 T-bolt weldments (item #15), and 6 plastic bolt retainers 8mm (item #16).
Trucks with threaded inserts use M8 x 25mm screws (item #12) directly into the threaded inserts on the rocker panel. Trucks without threaded inserts require installation of a T-bolt weldment (item #15) into the obround hole first, with a plastic bolt retainer (item #16) to prevent it from falling into the rocker panel. The T-bolt then receives the M8 flange nut and screw. All other bracket attachment steps are the same.
The Model 415114 is universal and can be cut to fit many applications, but you must have the appropriate bracket package for your specific vehicle. The Model 401438 bracket kit is specifically designed for 2014+ Dodge Ram 2500 cab pickups.
Cutting is required to fit the board to your vehicle. Use a saber saw, chop saw, or hack saw to cut to length, then touch up the cut ends with flat black paint.
All fasteners must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
Read all instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the service parts list are on hand before starting.
Leave all fasteners finger tight during bracket installation. Install and adjust the step plates and all brackets to the correct position before tightening all fasteners.
You will need 5/16-18 x 1" carriage bolts, 5/16" flat washers, and 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts. Some flange nuts may be supplied in the bracket package rather than the step package.
