LUVERNE Grip Step wheel-to-wheel running boards equip your pickup truck for whatever job lies ahead. They offer easier truck bed access, fleet-level safety, a highly rust-free construction and a custom fit for your truck and lifestyle. Grip Step wheel-to-wheel steps are the ideal solution for better truck bed access. Whether you need to reach a truck tool box, ladder rack or some cargo in the truck bed, the wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long, providing a convenient step up for reaching into the truck bed. Grip Step running boards are also built for hard work, featuring expanded metal treads that offer fleet-approved safety. The open treads ensure maximum traction for your boots -- whether rain or shine -- and they also help keep your truck's interior clean by allowing dirt, snow and debris to pass through the boards. For superior resistance to the elements, Grip Step wheel-to-wheel running boards are made from aluminum alloy. They're strong, lightweight and highly corrosion-resistant. To maximize this corrosion resistance, the running boards and brackets are both shielded in a durable black powder coat finish. The running boards also feature hardened plastic end caps that eliminate sharp corners and add a professional touch. All LUVERNE Grip Step wheel-to-wheel steps are designed for vehicle-specific applications. This ensures a custom fit and the easiest possible installation. The running boards mount with vehicle-specific brackets and use pre-existing mounting points to avoid difficult modifications. This particular set of wheel-to-wheel running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
Grip Step wheel-to-wheel running boards are designed to be the best running boards for work trucks, featuring a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The Model 415114 Grip Step is a board-only step assembly designed for universal vehicle applications. It consists of an aluminum extrusion that can be cut to fit various vehicle lengths, support braces, end caps, and fastening hardware. The step is designed to be mounted to brackets using carriage bolts, washers, and flange nuts.
The Model 401438 Regal 7/Grip Step Bracket Kit is designed for 2014 and newer Dodge Ram 2500 cab pickups.
The Model 415114 Grip Step board is designed for universal applications and can be modified to fit many applications by cutting it to the required length. However, you must use the appropriate bracket package for your specific vehicle. The board alone does not include vehicle-specific brackets; you must follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle.
You will need a cutting tool to modify the board length, such as a saber saw, chop saw, or hack saw. You will also need a screwdriver or drill for the #8 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screws, and a wrench or socket set to tighten the 5/16-18 carriage bolts, washers, and flange nuts to the specified torque of 19 LB FT.
You will need wrenches or sockets to install and tighten carriage bolts (1/4-20 x 1"), M8 x 25mm screws, and 3/8" bolts. A torque wrench will be needed to tighten fasteners to specification. For vehicles without threaded inserts in the rocker panel, you will need to carefully insert the T-bolt weldment into the obround hole and use the plastic bolt retainer to prevent it from falling into the rocker panel.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed on the service parts list are on hand before starting. You must also follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle to mount the brackets before attaching the grip steps.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed on the service parts list are on hand before starting. The installation process differs depending on whether your 2014+ Dodge Ram 2500 has threaded inserts in the rocker panel or not, so you should determine which configuration your vehicle has before beginning.
First, determine the required length and cut the board using a saber saw, chop saw, or hack saw, then touch up the cut ends with flat black paint. Slide the appropriate number of support braces (item #2) into the channel of the step board (item #1). Slide the end cap (item #3) over the front and rear of each step, then use the supplied #8 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screw (item #8) to screw the end cap to the bottom of the step.
Set the step on the mounting brackets and slide each support brace over the top of each mounting bracket. Attach the flat spacer plate (item #4) to the bottom of the step between the support brace and the top of the mounting bracket. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" carriage bolt, washer, and flange nuts (items #5, #6, #7), attach the step assembly, flat spacer plate, and mounting bracket. Note that some flange nuts may be supplied in the bracket package rather than the step package. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT.
Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #9) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, then place a 1/4" flat washer (item #10) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #11) on each bolt, leaving them finger tight. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (item #12) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #13) through the slots on the upper mounting flange, leaving it finger tight. Repeat for the middle and rear brackets (item #2). For the passenger side, use item #2 for the front bracket and item #1 for the middle and rear brackets.
Install the T-bolt weldment (item #15) into the large obround hole on the vertical wall of the rocker panel, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (item #16) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes with the two obround holes in the pinchweld and insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #9), then place a 1/4" flat washer (item #10) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #11) on each bolt, leaving them finger tight. Place a flat washer (item #13) and M8 flange nut (item #14) on the threaded stud of the T-bolt, leaving it finger tight. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange, then insert an M8 x 25mm screw (item #12) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #13), leaving it finger tight. Repeat for the middle and rear brackets (item #2). For the passenger side, use item #2 for the front bracket and item #1 for the middle and rear brackets.
Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (item #3) between the bolt head and the frame bracket, then tighten the bolt while ensuring the upper mounting bracket is level. Fasten the lower bracket (item #5) to the upper bracket (item #3) using 3/8" bolts, washers, and nuts (items #6, #7, #8) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket, making sure it sits level to the front brackets.
Yes. The board can be modified from its original length to fit many applications. Determine the required length and cut the board using a saber saw, chop saw, or hack saw. After cutting, use flat black paint to touch up the cut ends.
All fasteners on the Model 415114 Grip Step must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
The step is attached using 5/16-18 x 1" carriage bolts (item #5), 5/16" flat washers (item #6), and 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (item #7). All fasteners must be torqued to 19 LB FT. Note that some flange nuts may be supplied in the specific bracket package rather than the step package.
The end cap (item #3) is attached to the bottom of the step using #8 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screws (item #8). The manual does not specify a torque value for these screws.
The brackets are attached to the pinchweld using 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (item #9), 1/4" flat washers (item #10), and 1/4-20 flange nuts (item #11). These fasteners should be left finger tight during initial installation and tightened after all brackets and boards are positioned and adjusted.
M8 x 25mm screws (item #12) with 5/16" flat washers (item #13) are inserted through the slots on the upper mounting flange. These fasteners should be left finger tight during initial installation and tightened after all brackets and boards are positioned and adjusted.
A flat washer (item #13) and M8 flange nut (item #14) are placed on the threaded stud of the T-bolt weldment (item #15). These fasteners should be left finger tight during initial installation and tightened after all brackets and boards are positioned and adjusted.
The lower bracket (item #5) is attached to the upper bracket (item #3) using 3/8" bolts (item #8), 3/8" washers (item #6), and 3/8-16 serrated flange nuts (item #7) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket. The manual does not specify a torque value for these fasteners.
Be careful not to drop the T-bolt inside the rocker panel when installing it into the large obround hole. Insert the nut end first, leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (item #16) to the threaded stud to keep the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel.
Install the step plates and adjust the brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners. Once positioned correctly, tighten all fasteners to the specified torque values.
