Get the job done right with LUVERNE Grip Step 7" running boards. These roughneck truck side steps feature a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing. They are built from aluminum alloy for exceptional, rust-free strength, and they are simple to install using high-strength vehicle-specific brackets. The rugged, expanded metal tread and angular design of Grip Step running boards truly makes them a side accessory fit for your work truck or commercial van. No matter the season, the superior traction of Grip Steps locks onto the bottom of your boots and provides safe vehicle entry and exit. Because they boast an impressive 7" width, the side steps are as comfortable as they are skid-resistant. We know the job doe sn't make exceptions to keep your vehicle looking pretty, and that is why Grip Step running boards are made from aluminum and shielded in a tough powder coat finish. We use a 5052 aluminum alloy to provide maximum strength and unstoppable rust resistance. To finish things off and add a professional touch, we also apply a durable textured black powder coat and contoured black plastic end caps to further protect against dirt, moisture and other threats on the job. To make installation as simple as possible, Grip Step 7" running boards are each designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific mounting brackets. The brackets are covered in a durable black powder coat finish and bolt onto the boards using stainless steel fasteners for long-lasting strength. This particular set of Grip Step running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F150 (see application info to verify fitment). These running boards come with brackets, but the brackets are shipped separately.
Grip Step running boards are designed to be the best running boards for work trucks, featuring a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The LUVERNE Grip Step 7" x 60" Black Aluminum Running Boards, Select Ford F-150 415060-400921 (Part #FTNF415060-400921) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The Model 400921 step brackets fit 2004 and newer Ford F-150 Regular Cab Pickups. They are designed to use the existing mounting hole patterns on the pinch weld and interior wall of the rocker panel, so no drilling is required. If you have a SuperCrew, SuperCab, or other cab style, or if your truck is older than 2004, these brackets are not compatible.
The bracket package includes 4 mounting brackets (part 551851), 4 hex head cap screws 5/16" × 1.00" zinc plated (part 100647), 4 flat washers 5/16" zinc plated (part 100034), 4 hex head cap screws 5/16" × 1.00" black plated (part 106997), 4 flat washers 5/16" black plated (part 106998), 4 serrated flange nuts 5/16" (part 102680), and 4 multi-thread U-nuts 5/16"-18 UNC (part 104264). All fasteners and hardware needed for bracket installation are included.
No, drilling is not required. The Model 400921 step brackets use existing mounting hole patterns located on the pinch weld and interior wall of the rocker panel. The installation uses these factory holes to attach the brackets.
Install the 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (part 104264) in the top front hole of the front pattern and the top rear hole of the rear pattern. Insert the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes in the rocker panel and slide it towards the round hole until it seats. The threads must face toward the inside of the rocker panel.
Position each mounting bracket so the top hole lines up with the multi-thread U-nut and the offset hole lines up with the hole in the pinch weld. Attach the top of the bracket with a 5/16" × 1.00" zinc plated hex head cap screw (part 100647) and 5/16" zinc plated flat washer (part 100034). Attach the bottom of the bracket to the pinch weld with a 5/16" × 1.00" black plated hex head cap screw (part 106997), 5/16" black plated flat washer (part 106998), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (part 102680). Level the brackets and tighten all fasteners to 19 lb-ft.
All 5/16" fasteners must be torqued to 19 lb-ft. This applies to both the top attachment (using the zinc plated hex head cap screw and washer) and the bottom attachment (using the black plated hex head cap screw, washer, and serrated flange nut).
The Model 400921 step bracket package includes 4 mounting brackets (part 551851), which provide the necessary mounting points for step assembly installation on 2004 and newer Ford F-150 Regular Cab Pickups.
The top of the mounting bracket is attached with a 5/16" × 1.00" zinc plated hex head cap screw (part 100647) and a 5/16" zinc plated flat washer (part 100034). These fasteners connect the bracket to the multi-thread U-nut installed in the rocker panel.
The bottom of the mounting bracket is attached to the pinch weld with a 5/16" × 1.00" black plated hex head cap screw (part 106997), a 5/16" black plated flat washer (part 106998), and a 5/16" serrated flange nut (part 102680). All three components work together to secure the bracket to the vehicle.
Yes, the brackets must be leveled before tightening the fasteners to their final torque specification of 19 lb-ft. This ensures proper alignment and safe operation of the step assembly.
The Model 400921 fits 2004 and newer Ford F-150 Regular Cab Pickups only. It is not compatible with SuperCrew, SuperCab, or older models.
No. The brackets use existing mounting holes on the rocker panel pinch weld and interior wall. No drilling, cutting, or modifications are needed.
Torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 lb-ft. This includes both the top and bottom bracket attachments.
Yes. The package includes all screws, washers, nuts, and U-nuts needed to attach the brackets to your F-150. No additional fasteners are required for bracket installation.
The threads of the 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts must face toward the inside of the rocker panel. Insert them through the large access holes and slide them to seat in the round holes.
