They are built from aluminum alloy for exceptional, rust-free strength, and they are simple to install using high-strength vehicle-specific brackets. The rugged, expanded metal tread and angular design of Grip Step running boards truly makes them a side accessory fit for your work truck or commercial van. No matter the season, the superior traction of Grip Steps locks onto the bottom of your boots and provides safe vehicle entry and exit. Because they boast an impressive 7" width, the side steps are as comfortable as they are skid-resistant. We know the job doesn't make exceptions to keep your vehicle looking pretty, and that is why Grip Step running boards are made from aluminum and shielded in a tough powder coat finish. We use a 5052 aluminum alloy to provide maximum strength and unstoppable rust resistance. To finish things off and add a professional touch, we also apply a durable textured black powder coat and contoured black plastic end caps to further protect against dirt, moisture and other threats on the job. To make installation as simple as possible, Grip Step 7" running boards are each designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific mounting brackets. The brackets are covered in a durable black powder coat finish and bolt onto the boards using stainless steel fasteners for long-lasting strength. This particular set of Grip Step running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty, F350 Super Duty, F450 Super Duty, F550 Super Duty and F600 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). These running boards come with brackets, but the brackets are shipped separately.

The bracket package includes: 4 mounting brackets (either 401521 or 401721 model), 8 nylon isolator washers (0.36" x 1.5" x 0.032", black), and 8 M8-1.25 flange nuts (zinc plated). The step board assembly is sold separately and must be attached to these brackets per the step board instruction sheet.
Yes. The manual states you must follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the grip step boards. The step boards are then attached to the installed brackets.
1. Slide the appropriate number of support braces (item #2) into the channel of the step extrusion (item #1). 2. Slide the end cap (item #3) over the front and rear of each step. 3. Using the supplied #8 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screw, screw the end cap to the bottom of the step. 4. Set the step on the mounting brackets and slide each support brace over the top of each mounting bracket. 5. Attach the flat spacer plate (item #4) to the bottom of the step, between the support brace and the top of the mounting bracket. 6. Attach using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" carriage bolt, washer, and flange nuts.
Slide the end cap (item #3) over the front and rear of each step. Using the supplied #8 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screw (item #8), screw the end cap to the bottom of the step. The self-drilling screw does not require a pre-drilled hole.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support brace over the top of each mounting bracket. 3. Attach the flat spacer plate (item #4) to the bottom of the step, between the support brace and the top of the mounting bracket. 4. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" carriage bolt, washer, and flange nuts (items #5, 6, 7), attach the step assembly, flat spacer plate, and mounting bracket together. Note: Some flange nuts may be supplied in the bracket package, not the step package.

On the left side of the vehicle, install two 1.5" isolator washers (item #3), the step mounting bracket (item #2), and two M8-1.25 flange nuts (item #4) on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel. 2. Repeat for the remaining brackets. 3. Check that all brackets are level. 4. Tighten all flange nuts. 5. Repeat steps 1-3 for the right side of the vehicle. 6. Attach the step board assembly per the included step board instruction sheet.
All 5/16" carriage bolts, washers, and flange nuts must be torqued to 19 LB FT (foot-pounds).
The carriage bolts are 5/16-18 x 1.0 inches, stainless steel (part #108683). Twelve bolts are supplied per step package. Each bolt is paired with a flat washer (5/16", stainless steel, part #101369) and a serrated flange nut (5/16-18, stainless steel, part #102680). All 5/16" fasteners must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
The end cap screws are #8-18 x 1/2 inches, stainless steel, black (part #107958). Eight screws are supplied per step package. These are self-drilling tek screws that do not require pre-drilled holes.
The isolator washers are nylon, 0.36 inches diameter x 1.5 inches outer diameter x 0.032 inches thick, black (part #108442). Eight washers are supplied per bracket package. Two washers are installed on each side of the vehicle (four brackets total) on the factory-provided rocker panel studs.
