Get the job done right with LUVERNE Grip Step 7" running boards. These roughneck truck side steps feature a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing. They are built from aluminum alloy for exceptional, rust-free strength, and they are simple to install using high-strength vehicle-specific brackets. The rugged, expanded metal tread and angular design of Grip Step running boards truly makes them a side accessory fit for your work truck or commercial van. No matter the season, the superior traction of Grip Steps locks onto the bottom of your boots and provides safe vehicle entry and exit. Because they boast an impressive 7" width, the side steps are as comfortable as they are skid-resistant. We know the job doesn't make exceptions to keep your vehicle looking pretty, and that is why Grip Step running boards are made from aluminum and shielded in a tough powder coat finish. We use a 5052 aluminum alloy to provide maximum strength and unstoppable rust resistance. To finish things off and add a professional touch, we also apply a durable textured black powder coat and contoured black plastic end caps to further protect against dirt, moisture and other threats on the job. To make installation as simple as possible, Grip Step 7" running boards are each designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific mounting brackets. The brackets are covered in a durable black powder coat finish and bolt onto the boards using stainless steel fasteners for long-lasting strength. This particular set of Grip Step running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty, F350 Super Duty, F450 Super Duty and F550 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). These running boards come with brackets, but the brackets are shipped separately.
Grip Step running boards are designed to be the best running boards for work trucks, featuring a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The LUVERNE Grip Step 7" x 88" Black Aluminum Running Boards, Select Ford Super Duty 415088-401723 (Part #FTNF415088-401723) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Models 415078 and 415088 are aluminum extrusion step boards with black finish. The 415078 is 77.62" long and the 415088 is 87.75" long. Both are supplied as boards only and require a separate bracket package for mounting to your vehicle. The step assembly includes support braces, end caps, and spacer plates that attach to the brackets using carriage bolts and flange nuts.
Yes, if you own a 2015 or newer Ford F150 (Supercab or Supercrew), or a 2017 or newer Ford Super Duty (Supercab or Supercrew). The brackets are a no-drill application, meaning they mount directly to factory-provided studs on the rocker panel without requiring holes to be drilled in your vehicle.
The step boards are listed as universal applications and can be used with any compatible bracket package. However, you must follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle. The step boards themselves attach to the brackets using the same hardware (carriage bolts, washers, and flange nuts) regardless of vehicle type.
Each step board assembly includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (the step itself), 8 galvanized support braces, 4 black plastic end caps, 8 black spacer plates, 16 stainless steel 5/16"-18 x 1" carriage bolts, 16 stainless steel 5/16" flat washers, 16 stainless steel 5/16"-18 serrated flange nuts, and 8 stainless steel #8-18 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screws. Some flange nuts may be supplied in the bracket package instead of the step package.
The bracket package includes: mounting brackets (4 for rocker panel, 2 center inboard, 2 center outboard), 8 nylon isolator washers (1.5" diameter), 8 M8-1.25 flange nuts, 6 stainless steel 3/8"-16 x 1" hex bolts, 8 stainless steel 3/8" flat washers, 12 stainless steel 3/8"-16 flange nuts, 2 rubber cushion washers, and 2 double-end 3/8"-16 x 5" studs. Bracket styles vary: part 552845 for standard F150, part 553168 for Super Duty; center inboard brackets are 552843 (F150) or 553169 (Super Duty); center outboard bracket is 552844.
No. The 401523/401723 brackets are a no-drill application. They mount directly to factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel using the supplied isolator washers and flange nuts. The center bracket uses the existing center body mount bolt, and the load reaction studs attach to the frame without drilling.
1. Install two isolator washers, the front mounting bracket, and two M8-1.25 flange nuts over the factory studs on the left rocker panel. 2. Repeat for the rear bracket on the left side. 3. Check that both brackets are level and tighten all flange nuts. 4. Remove the center body mount bolt and install the center inboard bracket. 5. Attach the outboard bracket to the inboard bracket using three 3/8" hex bolts, washers, and flange nuts, adjusting height to match your step board. 6. Assemble the load reaction studs with their hardware. 7. Check that the center bracket is perpendicular to the vehicle body and tighten the body mount bolt to manufacturer specifications. 8. Install the load reaction stud into the center inboard bracket and tighten the outboard flange nut to 19 LB-FT. 9. Repeat steps 2–9 for the right side of the vehicle.
1. Slide the appropriate number of support braces into the channel of the step. 2. Slide the end cap over the front and rear of each step and screw the end cap to the bottom of the step using the supplied #8 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screw. 3. Set the step on the mounting brackets and slide each support brace over the top of each mounting bracket. 4. Attach the flat spacer plate to the bottom of the step between the support brace and the top of the mounting bracket. 5. Using the supplied 5/16"-18 x 1" carriage bolt, washer, and flange nut, attach the step assembly, spacer plate, and mounting bracket. 6. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB-FT.
All 5/16" fasteners (carriage bolts, washers, and flange nuts) connecting the step board assembly to the mounting brackets must be torqued to 19 LB-FT.
The 3/8" flange nut on the outboard side of the load reaction stud must be tightened to 19 LB-FT. The inboard nut should be adjusted so that the rubber cushion washer is snug against the vehicle frame, but no specific torque is provided for that nut.
1. On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud, install a 3/8" flange nut backwards onto the bottom of the thread. Then install a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". 2. On the long threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" flange nut backwards to near the bottom of the threads. The stud is then ready to install into the center inboard bracket.
The manual instructs installing flange nuts 'backwards' on the load reaction studs, meaning the nut is threaded onto the stud in the reverse direction from normal installation, or the flange face is oriented differently than standard. This is specified in steps 7.1 and 7.2 for both the short and long threaded ends of the stud. Refer to Figure 1 in the bracket installation instructions for the correct orientation.
Slide the end cap over the front and rear of each step. Using the supplied #8 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screw, screw the end cap to the bottom of the step. The end caps are black plastic and are included in the step board assembly.
The manual states to slide 'the appropriate number of support braces' into the channel of the step but does not specify the exact quantity per step. The service parts list shows 8 support braces are supplied per step board assembly. Refer to the bracket package instructions or the step board assembly diagram for the correct number per step.
The 1.5" nylon isolator washers are installed over the factory-provided studs on the rocker panel before the mounting bracket and flange nuts. They provide isolation between the bracket and the vehicle body. Two isolator washers are used per bracket (front and rear on each side).
After installing the front and rear mounting brackets on the left side of the vehicle with isolator washers and flange nuts over the factory rocker panel studs, use a level tool to verify that both brackets are level before tightening all flange nuts. Repeat this check for the right side after installation.
After assembling the center inboard and outboard brackets and installing the load reaction stud, use a level or square tool to check that the center bracket is perpendicular to the body of the vehicle before tightening the body mount bolt to the manufacturer's specifications.
After attaching the outboard bracket to the inboard bracket using three 3/8" hex bolts, washers, and flange nuts, adjust the height of the outboard bracket to match your step board before tightening the bolts. The manual does not specify the exact adjustment method or range.
The rubber cushion washer must be installed on the short threaded end of the load reaction stud, positioned tight against the 3/8" flat washer and flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed into the rubber washer approximately 3/16". When the stud is installed into the center inboard bracket, the inboard nut is adjusted so the rubber cushion washer is snug against the vehicle frame.
After installation, verify that: (1) the front and rear rocker panel brackets are level; (2) the center bracket is perpendicular to the vehicle body; (3) all fasteners are tightened to specification (5/16" fasteners to 19 LB-FT, 3/8" outboard load reaction stud nut to 19 LB-FT); (4) the rubber cushion washer on the load reaction stud is snug against the vehicle frame; and (5) the step board is in the correct position and all fasteners are tight.
Yes, they fit 2015+ Ford F150 and 2017+ Ford Super Duty (Supercab and Supercrew) as a no-drill application, mounting directly to factory rocker panel studs.
You need 5/16"-18 x 1" carriage bolts, 5/16" flat washers, and 5/16"-18 flange nuts. These are supplied with the step board assembly. Torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB-FT.
Yes. Remove the center body mount bolt and install the center inboard bracket in its place. After assembling the center brackets and load reaction stud, tighten the body mount bolt to the manufacturer's specifications.
All 5/16" fasteners connecting the step board to brackets: 19 LB-FT. The 3/8" outboard load reaction stud nut: 19 LB-FT. The center body mount bolt: manufacturer's specifications (not provided in this manual).
The end of the load reaction stud must be recessed into the rubber cushion washer approximately 3/16".
