LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality. They have 5" wide treads that extend the full length of the side steps, and they feature a strong, lightweight aluminum core with a stainless steel trim for a bright, clean accent. MegaStep running boards mount easily with vehicle-specific brackets, pre-installed fasteners and an adjustable design to perfectly fit your unique vehicle. LUVERNE MegaSteps are designed to offer the best features from a variety of side accessory options. Their non-skid rubber treads cover the entire topside of the boards, giving them the functionality and convenience of a running board. However, unlike most running boards, MegaSteps are styled after the popular look of many nerf bars. This makes them a unique and useful extension of your vehicle. To give MegaStep running boards an even greater advantage over other side steps, they are built to outlast the elements. We construct them with a strong, lightweight aluminum base that naturally resists rust, and we finish them with a high-polish stainless steel trim. The trim is a heavy-duty, 18-gauge stainless steel to make it more than just a fancy accent, and its highly polished finish gives the running boards a bright, long-lasting shine. Installation of LUVERNE MegaStep running boards is easy and customizable. The boards come with pre-installed fasteners and attach using high-strength, vehicle-specific mounting brackets. They are also uniquely designed to be adjustable inward, outward, forward or backward, giving you complete freedom to position the steps wherever you want them. This particular set of running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Ford E150, E150 Econoline, E250, E250 Econoline and E350 Econoline (see application info to verify fitment). Brackets for these running boards are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality, featuring 5" wide rubber treads that extend the full length of the side steps for dependable, non-skid traction wherever the road takes you.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The Model 570124 bracket package is designed for 2001 and newer Ford vans. The manual does not specify exclusions by body style, bed length, cab configuration or drivetrain. Contact the manufacturer or your installer to confirm fitment for your specific van model and year.
The Model 570124 is a bracket package designed to mount O-MEGA Steps or Grip Steps to 2001 and newer Ford vans. It includes mounting brackets for the front, center and rear positions on both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle.
The bracket package includes: mounting brackets (front, center and rear for both sides), U-nuts, hex bolts, square head screws, serrated flange nuts, flat washers, lock washers, carriage bolts, support braces, spacer plates and end caps. A complete parts list with part numbers and quantities is provided in the service parts list. Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
Yes. On the passenger side of the vehicle, remove the tape covering the mounting holes in the inside quarter panel at five locations before beginning installation.
1. Remove tape from passenger-side quarter panel mounting holes. 2. Install U-nuts in the five holes (short U-nuts in holes 1, 3, 4, 5; long U-nut in hole 2). 3. Install mounting brackets using hex bolts, flat washers and lock washers into the U-nuts; finger tighten only. 4. Install bolts through the lower pinch weld with flat washers and serrated flange nuts; finger tighten only. 5. Tighten the front brackets against the vehicle surface and tighten the pinch weld bolt. 6. Repeat on the driver side. Final torque is 19 foot pounds.
Use 5/16-18" multi-thread U-nuts. Install short U-nuts (Item #14) in the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th holes from the front. Install a long U-nut (Item #15) in the 2nd set of holes from the front. These are installed in the rectangular and round holes in the inside quarter panel on the passenger side.
The bracket package includes: front brackets (Items #5 for right side, #6 for left side), center brackets (Items #7 for right side, #8 for left side), and rear brackets (Items #9 and #10 for right side, #10 for left side). Install front brackets on both sides first, then center and rear brackets according to the step sequence in the manual.
All final torque specifications are 19 foot pounds. This applies to: bolts from the step plate to the frame (O-MEGA steps), bracket to body mounting bolts (O-MEGA steps), and flange nuts on carriage bolts (Grip steps). Finger tighten all fasteners initially, then apply final torque after alignment is complete.
For U-nut attachment: 5/16-18 X 1" hex bolts (Item #11), 5/16" flat washers (Item #18) and 5/16" lock washers (Item #19). For pinch weld attachment: 5/16-18 X 1" hex bolts (Item #11), 5/16" flat washers (Item #18) and black plated 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #17). All fasteners are finger-tightened initially and final-torqued to 19 foot pounds.
Mount step pads (Item #4) to step plates using 1/2" TEK screws (Item #13) before attaching steps to brackets. Position the front step pad about 7-1/2" from the front. Drill and install the two center screws first. If installing at approximately 70°F, position screws in the end slotted holes in the middle of the slot, then back off ¼ turn. This allows plastic to expand when hot and contract when cold without rising between screws. Rear pads are optional.
1. Install five square head screws (Item #12, 5/16-18 X 1") in the front track and five in the rear track of the right-side step plate. 2. Position the step on brackets so square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 3. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #16) on the screws; finger tighten only. 4. Align the step plate with the bottom of the body sheet metal; the bottom edge of bracket flanges should be even with the pinch weld. 5. Tighten step plate to frame bolts to 19 foot pounds. 6. Tighten bracket to body bolts to 19 foot pounds. Repeat for the left side using two screws in each track.
For the right-side O-MEGA step: five square head screws (Item #12, 5/16-18 X 1") in the front track and five in the rear track. For the left-side O-MEGA step: two square head screws in the front track and two in the rear track.
1. Slide the appropriate number of support braces (Item #22) into the channel of the steps. 2. Slide end caps (Item #21) over the front and rear of each step; screw them on using #8 X 1/2" self-drilling TEK screws (Item #13). 3. Set the steps on the mounting brackets and slide each support brace over the top of each bracket. 4. Attach the flat spacer plate (Item #23) to the bottom of the step between the support brace and the top of the bracket. 5. Using 5/16-18 X 1" carriage bolts (Item #24), 5/16" flat washers (Item #25) and 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (Item #16), attach the step assemblies and spacer plates to the brackets. 6. Slide steps to the correct position and tighten flange nuts to 19 foot pounds. 7. Tighten bracket to body bolts to 19 foot pounds.
Use 5/16-18 X 1" carriage bolts (Item #24), 5/16" flat washers (Item #25) and 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (Item #16). These attach the step assemblies and flat spacer plates (Item #23) to the mounting brackets. Tighten the flange nuts to 19 foot pounds.
Support braces (Item #22) are slid into the channel of the Grip Steps and then positioned over the top of each mounting bracket to provide structural support. Flat spacer plates (Item #23) are attached to the bottom of the step between the support brace and the top of the mounting bracket to ensure proper spacing and alignment.
Slide the end caps (Item #21) over the front and rear of each Grip Step. Using the supplied #8 X 1/2" self-drilling TEK screws (Item #13), screw the end caps to the steps.
Align the step plate with the bottom of the body sheet metal. The bottom edge of the mounting bracket flanges should be even with the bottom edge of the pinch weld on the vehicle. This alignment must be achieved before final torque is applied.
All fasteners should be finger-tightened initially during the bracket and step positioning stages. Only after the steps are properly aligned with the vehicle body should final torque be applied to 19 foot pounds. This staged approach allows for proper alignment before permanent tightening.
The Model 570124 bracket package is designed for 2001 and newer Ford vans. Confirm your specific van model and year with the manufacturer or installer, as the manual does not detail exclusions by body style or bed length.
Yes. The package includes all mounting brackets, U-nuts, bolts, screws, washers, nuts, support braces and spacer plates listed in the service parts list. Verify all parts are present before installation begins.
Yes. Mount the step pads (Item #4) to the step plates using 1/2" TEK screws before attaching the steps to the brackets. Position the front pad about 7-1/2" from the front and back off the end slot screws ¼ turn to allow for thermal expansion.
All final torque specifications are 19 foot pounds. This applies to step plate to frame bolts, bracket to body bolts, and carriage bolt flange nuts. Finger tighten all fasteners initially, then apply final torque after alignment.
Use 5/16-18 X 1" hex bolts with 5/16" flat washers and 5/16" lock washers for U-nut attachment, and 5/16" serrated flange nuts for pinch weld attachment. All fasteners are finger-tightened initially and final-torqued to 19 foot pounds.
Yes. Install mounting brackets on both the passenger (right) side and driver (left) side of the vehicle. The passenger side is installed first, then the driver side is mounted the same way.
