LUVERNE MegaSteps are designed to offer the best features from a variety of side accessory options. Their non-skid rubber treads cover the entire topside of the boards, giving them the functionality and convenience of a running board. However, unlike most running boards, MegaSteps are styled after the popular look of many nerf bars. This makes them a unique and useful extension of your vehicle. To give MegaStep running boards an even greater advantage over other side steps, they are built to outlast the elements. We construct them with a strong, lightweight aluminum base that naturally resists rust, and we finish them with a high-polish stainless steel trim. The trim is a heavy-duty, 18-gauge stainless steel to make it more than just a fancy accent, and its highly polished finish gives the running boards a bright, long-lasting shine. Installation of LUVERNE MegaStep running boards is easy and customizable. The boards come with pre-installed fasteners and attach using high-strength, vehicle-specific mounting brackets. They are also uniquely designed to be adjustable inward, outward, forward or backward, giving you complete freedom to position the steps wherever you want them. This particular set of running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Dodge Durango (see application info to verify fitment). Brackets for these running boards are included but ship separately.

Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The kit includes 6 mounting brackets (part 551932), 6 T-bolt weldments (part 551935), 6 serrated flange nuts 7/16-14 (part 103737), 12 carriage bolts #10-24 x .75 (part 104260), 12 serrated flange nuts #10-24 (part 104261), 16 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part 102680), and 6 square head screws 5/16-18 x 1.00 (part 106880). Step boards are ordered separately based on vehicle and style.
You must locate and remove the second, fourth, and sixth obround body plugs from under and behind the plastic ground effects on both sides of the vehicle. These plugs are where the T-bolts will be installed.
Insert the T-bolt (part 551935) up into each obround hole. You will install three T-bolts per side (six total) in the second, fourth, and sixth obround holes.
1. Insert the T-bolt (part 551935) into the obround hole. 2. Place the bracket (part 551932) over the T-bolt threads. 3. Place the 7/16-14 serrated flange nut (part 103737) on finger tight. 4. Insert two carriage bolts (part 104260) into the obround holes in the bracket and pinch weld area. 5. Install the #10-24 serrated flange nuts (part 104261) on the carriage bolts. 6. Tighten all fasteners. 7. Repeat for each bracket on both driver and passenger sides.
You need to install six brackets total: three on the driver side and three on the passenger side. Each bracket is mounted using one T-bolt and two carriage bolts.
Insert three 5/16" square head screws (part 106880) on the underside of each step in the center slot of the MEGA boards. The boards come with five square head screws already in the inside slot; slide the two unused ones to the end of the board and place a 5/16-18 serrated flange nut (part 102680) on them. Locate the step in and out as desired, then install the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on all square head screws and tighten.
The OMEGA STEP requires three square head screws (part 106880) in both the center slot and inside slot. You must remove one end cap to insert the screws. After inserting all screws, locate the step in and out as desired, then install the 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on all square head screws and tighten.
Each bracket uses one T-bolt weldment (part 551935) with a 7/16-14 serrated flange nut (part 103737), and two carriage bolts #10-24 x .75 (part 104260) with #10-24 serrated flange nuts (part 104261). Six brackets require six T-bolts, six 7/16-14 nuts, twelve carriage bolts, and twelve #10-24 nuts.
Each step board uses six 5/16-18 x 1.00 square head screws (part 106880) with 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (part 102680). The kit includes six screws and sixteen nuts to accommodate both MEGA and OMEGA step configurations.
The 571134 fits 2011 Dodge Durango and 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Durango requires 78" step boards; Grand Cherokee requires 72" step boards.
