LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality. They have 5" wide treads that extend the full length of the side steps, and they feature a strong, lightweight aluminum core with a stainless steel trim for a bright, clean accent. MegaStep running boards mount easily with vehicle-specific brackets, pre-installed fasteners and an adjustable design to perfectly fit your unique vehicle. LUVERNE MegaSteps are designed to offer the best features from a variety of side accessory options. Their non-skid rubber treads cover the entire topside of the boards, giving them the functionality and convenience of a running board. However, unlike most running boards, MegaSteps are styled after the popular look of many nerf bars. This makes them a unique and useful extension of your vehicle. To give MegaStep running boards an even greater advantage over other side steps, they are built to outlast the elements. We construct them with a strong, lightweight aluminum base that naturally resists rust, and we finish them with a high-polish stainless steel trim. The trim is a heavy-duty, 18-gauge stainless steel to make it more than just a fancy accent, and its highly polished finish gives the running boards a bright, long-lasting shine. Installation of LUVERNE MegaStep running boards is easy and customizable. The boards come with pre-installed fasteners and attach using high-strength, vehicle-specific mounting brackets. They are also uniquely designed to be adjustable inward, outward, forward or backward, giving you complete freedom to position the steps wherever you want them. This particular set of running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, 5500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment). Brackets for these running boards are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality, featuring 5" wide rubber treads that extend the full length of the side steps for dependable, non-skid traction wherever the road takes you.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the Curt 571632 SES, MEGA/OMEGA step bracket kit is designed for 2009 and newer Dodge Ram 1500 Quad and Crew Cab pickups. Confirm your truck is a Quad or Crew Cab model, as the kit is not compatible with other cab styles.
Yes, the Curt 571632 is compatible with 2010 and newer Dodge Ram HD Crew Cab and Mega Cab pickups, as well as chassis cabs. Confirm your truck is an HD model (2500 or 3500) and a Crew or Mega Cab configuration.
Yes. If your truck does not have threaded inserts, the kit uses T-bolt weldments (Item #11) that are inserted into obround holes in the rocker panel. However, 2009–2012 trucks without obround holes in the pinchweld will require drilling two 5/16" holes per bracket.
The kit includes: 2 front/middle brackets (Items #1 and #2), 1 rear left bracket (Item #3), 1 rear right bracket (Item #4), 12 carriage bolts 1/4-20 x 1" (Item #5), 12 flat washers 1/4" (Item #6), 12 flange nuts 1/4-20 (Item #7), 12 hex head screws M8 x 25mm (Item #8), 12 flat washers 5/16" (Item #9), 6 hex flange nuts M8 (Item #10), 6 T-bolt weldments (Item #11), and 6 plastic bolt retainers (Item #12). Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
Only if your truck does not have obround holes in the pinchweld. 2009–2012 trucks without these holes require drilling two 5/16" holes per bracket. Position the bracket in place, mark the pinchweld for drilling, then drill the holes. Trucks with factory obround holes or threaded inserts do not require drilling.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange on the outside. 2. Align the two rectangular holes in the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (Item #5) through the flange and pinchweld. 4. Add a 1/4" flat washer (Item #6) and 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #7) to each bolt. 5. Leave all fasteners finger-tight. 6. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (Item #8) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #9) through the slots on the upper mounting flange. Leave finger-tight.
1. Insert the T-bolt weldment (Item #11) into the large obround hole with the nut end first, leaving the threaded stud protruding. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (Item #12) to the stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. 2. Place the bracket against the pinchweld and align the lower mounting flange holes with the pinchweld obround holes. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (Item #5) through the flange and pinchweld, add a 1/4" flat washer (Item #6) and 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #7) to each. Leave finger-tight. 4. Place a 5/16" flat washer (Item #9) and M8 flange nut (Item #10) on the T-bolt threaded stud. Leave finger-tight. 5. Rotate the T-bolt so the nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. 6. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (Item #8) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #9) through the slot. Leave finger-tight.
Yes. Repeat the same installation steps for the middle bracket (Item #2) and rear bracket (Item #3) as you did for the front bracket. All three brackets on each side use the same fastening method and sequence.
The passenger side installation is a mirror image of the driver's side. Use Item #2 (front bracket) for the front position, Item #1 (middle bracket) for the middle position, and Item #4 (rear bracket) for the rear position. Follow the same fastening procedure as the driver's side.
Leave all fasteners finger-tight during the initial installation of each bracket. Install the step plates and adjust the brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners. The manual does not provide final torque specifications; consult the manufacturer for tightening torque values.
Position the bracket in place against the pinchweld. Mark the pinchweld for drilling using the bracket's rectangular holes as a guide. Drill two 5/16" holes per bracket at the marked locations. The manual does not provide detailed drilling instructions; consult the manufacturer or an installer for specific drilling procedures and safety precautions.
When inserting the T-bolt weldment (Item #11) into the obround hole in the rocker panel, insert the nut end first and be careful not to drop the T-bolt inside the rocker panel. Immediately attach the plastic bolt retainer (Item #12) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel.
The Curt 571632 fits 2009+ Dodge Ram 1500 Quad/Crew Cabs and 2010+ Dodge Ram HD Crew/Mega Cabs and Chassis Cabs. Confirm your truck matches one of these configurations.
Yes. The kit includes all carriage bolts, washers, flange nuts, hex screws, T-bolt weldments, and plastic retainers needed for installation. Verify all parts are present before starting.
Only if your truck is a 2009–2012 model without obround holes in the pinchweld. You will need to drill two 5/16" holes per bracket. Newer trucks with factory obround holes or threaded inserts do not require drilling.
No. Leave all fasteners finger-tight during installation. Tighten all fasteners only after installing the step plates and adjusting the brackets and boards.
The plastic bolt retainer (Item #12) attaches to the T-bolt weldment threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel during installation.
