MegaStep running boards mount easily with vehicle-specific brackets, pre-installed fasteners and an adjustable design to perfectly fit your unique vehicle. LUVERNE MegaSteps are designed to offer the best features from a variety of side accessory options. Their non-skid rubber treads cover the entire topside of the boards, giving them the functionality and convenience of a running board. However, unlike most running boards, MegaSteps are styled after the popular look of many nerf bars. This makes them a unique and useful extension of your vehicle. To give MegaStep running boards an even greater advantage over other side steps, they are built to outlast the elements. We construct them with a strong, lightweight aluminum base that naturally resists rust, and we finish them with a high-polish stainless steel trim. The trim is a heavy-duty, 18-gauge stainless steel to make it more than just a fancy accent, and its highly polished finish gives the running boards a bright, long-lasting shine. Installation of LUVERNE MegaStep running boards is easy and customizable. The boards come with pre-installed fasteners and attach using high-strength, vehicle-specific mounting brackets. They are also uniquely designed to be adjustable inward, outward, forward or backward, giving you complete freedom to position the steps wherever you want them. This particular set of running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment). Brackets for these running boards are included but ship separately.

Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

Yes, the 571032/401032 fits 2009–2016 RAM Crew Cab, Quad Cab, and Mega Cab pickups. The installation procedure differs slightly between Quad/Crew Cab and Mega Cab models, particularly for the rear bracket orientation (refer to Figures 2 and 3 in the manual). Heavy duty diesel pickups have a different configuration and do not use the center load reaction stud.
Yes, the bracket is compatible with 1500 pickups. If your 1500 has a cast iron dampener on the rear body mount, it must be removed before installation and will not be reused.
The same bracket kit works for both, but the rear bracket orientation is different. For Quad/Crew Cab pickups, refer to Figure 2; for Mega Cab pickups, refer to Figure 3. The manual notes this difference in Section 4.4.
The kit includes: 6 M12–110mm hex head bolts (item 9), 2 M12–160mm bolts for heavy duty pickups (item 10), 4 2.0" washers (item 11), 6 rubber cushion washers (item 12), 12 3/8" flat washers (item 13), 24 3/8-16 serrated flange nuts (item 14), 4 3" studs (item 15), 2 4" studs (item 16), 6 3/8-16 × 1.0" screws (item 17), and 2 ½" flat washers (item 18). The manual also references a step plate assembly with separate instructions.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts on the right side of the vehicle. These factory bolts will not be reused. Install the mounting brackets using the new M12–110mm bolts (or M12–160mm for heavy duty pickups) and washers provided in the kit.
1. On the short threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread. 2. Install a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the serrated flange nut. The stud end must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". 3. On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards near the bottom of the threads. Use a 4" stud (item 16) for the front bracket and a 3" stud (item 15) for the rear brackets.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that allows the rubber washer to seat firmly against the frame side wall. Install a 3/8" flange nut on the outboard end of the stud, leaving it finger tight only at this stage.
No. Leave all fasteners finger tight during initial installation. Only after positioning the load reaction stud assembly so the rubber cushion is snug against the frame side should you tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 lb-ft.
Use three 3/8-16 × 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (items 17, 13, 14). For light duty pickups, install in the lower hole locations; for heavy duty pickups, install in the upper hole locations. Refer to Figure 1 for hole location details.
No. Heavy duty pickups with the diesel engine will not use the center load reaction stud. Install only the front and rear load reaction studs on these vehicles.
