LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards give you the best of both worlds with a ready-to-work construction and the stylish of popular nerf bars. They feature high-traction rubber treads, a sleek finish and a non-corrosive build -- all to give you dependable footing whether you're headed for work or play. MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards are uniquely designed with extra length on the rear of the boards, reaching all the way to the back wheels. This provides a convenient and secure step for reaching into the truck bed and accessing the crossover truck tool box, headache rack or 5th wheel hitch. The entire length of the running boards is covered with a non-skid rubber tread for enhanced safety, even in wet, rainy conditions. Unlike plastic treads, rubber offers better grip for your boots or shoes. The base of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is an extruded aluminum alloy, providing excellent strength, while remaining lightweight and completely rust-free. To give these truck side steps a touch of style, they are fitted with a polished stainless steel trim that contours around the boards and gives them a look similar to popular nerf bars. The trim piece is polished to a mirror-like shine and easily withstands rain, snow, dirt and more. To make installation fast, easy and secure, LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel steps are made vehicle-specific. Each set has a specific board length and vehicle-specific brackets, providing a custom fit for each unique truck. The brackets install using pre-existing mounting points to eliminate difficult modifications, and the running boards can be positioned inward, outward, forward or backward to suit personal preferences. This particular set of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is designed for specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" wheel-to-wheel running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality, featuring 5" wide rubber treads that extend the full length of the side steps for dependable, non-skid traction wherever the road takes you.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the Curt 571439 and 401439 W2W MEGA/GRIP Step Brackets are designed for 2014 and newer RAM 2500 pickups in all cab styles: Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab, and Mega Cab. However, the rear bracket orientation differs between Regular/Quad/Crew Cab models and Mega Cab models, so you must refer to the correct figure during installation (Figure 1 for Regular/Quad/Crew Cab, Figure 2 for Mega Cab).
No. For Regular Cab pickups, only the front and rear cab mounting brackets are used. The center mounting bracket and its fasteners may be discarded and are not needed for installation.
The kit includes: 2 front mounting brackets (left and right), 2 center mounting brackets (left and right), 4 rear mounting brackets (2 inboard, 2 outboard), 2 upper W2W mounting brackets (left and right), 2 lower W2W mounting brackets, 4 M12 110mm bolts, 2 M12 160mm bolts, 4 2.0" washers, 6 rubber cushion washers, 16 3/8" flat washers, 28 3/8-16 serrated flange nuts, 4 3" studs, 2 4" studs, 10 3/8-16 x 1.0" screws, and 2 ½" flat washers. The step plate assembly is sold separately with its own instructions.
You will need wrenches or sockets to fit M12 bolts (17mm), 3/8-16 fasteners (9/16"), and ½" fasteners. A torque wrench capable of measuring 19 lb-ft is required for final tightening of the load reaction stud flange nuts. You will also need a socket or wrench to loosen and retighten the suspension link bolt during installation. The manual does not specify whether additional tools such as a lift or extra personnel are required.
The manual does not mention battery disconnection. This installation involves mechanical fastening to the frame and body mounts and does not appear to involve electrical work.
1. On the short threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread. 2. Install a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the serrated flange nut, with the stud end recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". 3. On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards near the bottom of the threads. Use a 4" stud (Item #19) for the front bracket and a 3" stud (Item #18) for the rear brackets.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a 3/8" serrated flange nut on the outboard end of the stud, but leave it finger-tight only at this stage. Do not fully tighten until Section 7.
Use one M12 110mm bolt (Item #12) and one 2.0" washer (Item #14) per side. Install on both the left and right sides of the vehicle. Leave these fasteners finger-tight initially; do not fully tighten until all brackets are positioned.
Use one M12 110mm bolt (Item #12) and one 2.0" washer (Item #14) per side on both left and right sides. Leave these fasteners finger-tight initially; do not fully tighten until all brackets are positioned. Note: This bracket is not used on Regular Cab pickups.
Use one M12 116mm bolt (Item #13) and one ½" flat washer (Item #21) per side on both left and right sides. Leave these fasteners finger-tight initially. The orientation of the rear bracket differs between Regular/Quad/Crew Cab pickups (refer to Figure 1) and Mega Cab pickups (refer to Figure 2).
Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (Items #7 or #8) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (Items #5 or #6) in the upper mounting location using three 3/8-16 x 1.0" screws (Item #20), 3/8" flat washers (Item #16), and 3/8" flange nuts (Item #17).
Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (Item #9) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Retighten the bolt, ensuring that the upper mounting bracket is level. The manual does not specify the torque value for this bolt.
Fasten the lower bracket (Item #11) to the upper bracket (Item #9) using two 3/8" bolts, washers, and nuts (Items #16, #17, #20) in the two lower holes of the upper bracket. Ensure the lower bracket sits level to the front brackets. The manual does not specify the torque value for these fasteners.
Tighten the 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly to 19 lb-ft. This is the final tightening step, performed after positioning the rubber cushion snug against the side of the frame.
The manual instructs you to leave all body mount bolts (Items #12 and #13) finger-tight during initial installation (Sections 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3). However, the manual does not specify when or in what sequence to fully tighten them, nor does it provide torque values for these fasteners.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts on the right side of the vehicle (one side at a time). These factory bolts will not be reused and should be discarded. They are replaced by the M12 bolts supplied in the kit.
Yes. The manual instructs you to install mounting brackets on the right side of the vehicle (Section 4), and the parts list includes left and right versions of each bracket, indicating installation on both sides. However, the manual does not explicitly state the sequence for the left side or whether the same procedure applies.
The end of the load reaction stud must be recessed in the rubber cushion washer approximately 3/16". This is achieved by installing the 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the serrated flange nut on the short threaded end of the stud.
Finger-tight means tightened by hand only, without using tools, to a snug but not fully torqued condition. The manual uses this term for body mount bolts (Sections 4.1, 4.2, 4.3) and the outboard flange nut on the load reaction stud (Section 3) during initial assembly. These fasteners are fully tightened later in the process.
Yes, it fits 2014+ RAM 2500 pickups in all cab styles (Regular, Quad, Crew, and Mega Cab). Rear bracket orientation differs by cab type; refer to Figure 1 for Regular/Quad/Crew Cab or Figure 2 for Mega Cab.
The kit includes M12 bolts, 3/8-16 studs and screws, serrated flange nuts, flat washers, rubber cushion washers, and ½" washers. See the Service Parts List for complete quantities and part numbers.
Yes. Remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts on the right side; they will not be reused. For Regular Cab pickups, the center bracket is not used.
Tighten the 3/8" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft after positioning the rubber cushion snug against the frame.
Use a 4" stud (Item #19) for the front bracket and a 3" stud (Item #18) for the rear brackets.
Yes. Pre-assemble each stud with serrated flange nuts, flat washers, and rubber cushion washers before attaching to the mounting brackets, following Section 2.1 and 2.2.
