LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards give you the best of both worlds with a ready-to-work construction and the stylish of popular nerf bars. They feature high-traction rubber treads, a sleek finish and a non-corrosive build -- all to give you dependable footing whether you're headed for work or play. MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards are uniquely designed with extra length on the rear of the boards, reaching all the way to the back wheels. This provides a convenient and secure step for reaching into the truck bed and accessing the crossover truck tool box, headache rack or 5th wheel hitch. The entire length of the running boards is covered with a non-skid rubber tread for enhanced safety, even in wet, rainy conditions. Unlike plastic treads, rubber offers better grip for your boots or shoes. The base of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is an extruded aluminum alloy, providing excellent strength, while remaining lightweight and completely rust-free. To give these truck side steps a touch of style, they are fitted with a polished stainless steel trim that contours around the boards and gives them a look similar to popular nerf bars. The trim piece is polished to a mirror-like shine and easily withstands rain, snow, dirt and more. To make installation fast, easy and secure, LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel steps are made vehicle-specific. Each set has a specific board length and vehicle-specific brackets, providing a custom fit for each unique truck. The brackets install using pre-existing mounting points to eliminate difficult modifications, and the running boards can be positioned inward, outward, forward or backward to suit personal preferences. This particular set of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is designed for specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" wheel-to-wheel running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality, featuring 5" wide rubber treads that extend the full length of the side steps for dependable, non-skid traction wherever the road takes you.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the W2W MEGA/GRIP STEP BRACKETS (part numbers 571439 and 401439) are designed for 2014 and newer RAM 2500 pickups. However, the rear bracket orientation differs between Mega Cab and Regular/Quad/Crew Cab models, so you must refer to the correct installation figure for your cab style.
No. For Regular Cab pickups only, the front and rear cab mounting brackets are used. The center mounting bracket and its fasteners may be discarded and are not installed.
No. The rear bracket orientation differs between Mega Cab pickups and Regular/Quad/Crew Cab pickups. If installing on a Regular/Quad/Crew Cab, refer to Figure 1. If installing on a Mega Cab, refer to Figure 2 in the manual for correct orientation.
The kit includes: 4 M12–110mm hex head bolts, 2 M12–160mm hex head bolts, 4 large washers (2.0"), 6 rubber washers, 16 flat washers (3/8"), 28 serrated flange nuts (3/8-16), 4 studs (3/8-16 × 3.00"), 2 double-ended studs (3/8-16 × 4.00"), 10 hex head screws (3/8-16 × 1.0"), and 2 flat washers (½"). See the Service Parts List for complete details.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts from the right side of the vehicle. These factory bolts will not be reused. Install the mounting brackets using the new M12 bolts and washers provided in the kit.
1. On the short threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread. 2. Install a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the serrated flange nut, with the stud end recessed approximately 3/16" into the rubber washer. 3. On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards near the bottom of the threads. Use a 4" stud (Item #19) for the front bracket and a 3" stud (Item #18) for the rear brackets.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a flange nut on the outboard end of the stud, finger tight only at this stage.
Use one M12–110mm bolt (Item #12) and one 2.0" washer (Item #14) for each front mounting bracket. Leave these fasteners finger tight during initial installation; final tightening occurs after all brackets are positioned.
Use one M12–110mm bolt (Item #12) and one 2.0" washer (Item #14) for each center mounting bracket. Leave these fasteners finger tight during initial installation.
Use one M12–116mm bolt (Item #13) and one ½" flat washer (Item #21) for each rear mounting bracket. Leave these fasteners finger tight during initial installation.
Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (Items #7 or #8) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (Items #5 or #6) in the upper mounting location using three 3/8-16 × 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (Items #20, #16, #17).
Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (Item #9) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Tighten down the bolt, ensuring that the upper mounting bracket is level.
Fasten the lower bracket (Item #11) to the upper bracket (Item #9) using 3/8" bolt, washer, and nut (Items #16, #17, #20) in the two lower holes of the upper bracket. Ensure the lower bracket sits level to the front brackets.
Tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly to 19 lb-ft. Position the load reaction stud assembly so that the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame before tightening.
Install the brackets in this sequence: 1. Front mounting bracket (section 4.1), 2. Center mounting bracket (section 4.2), 3. Rear inboard mounting bracket (section 4.3), 4. Rear outboard mounting bracket attached to the rear inboard bracket (section 4.4). Leave all fasteners finger tight until all brackets are positioned, then proceed to attach the suspension link brackets (section 5) and tighten the load reaction studs to final torque.
The manual instructs you to leave the body mount bolts finger tight during initial installation (sections 4.1–4.3). However, the manual does not specify a final torque value for these bolts or state when they should be fully tightened. Consult the manufacturer or a qualified installer for the correct final torque specification.
Yes. Section 6 of the manual states "Attach the step plate per the instructions included with your step plate assembly." The step plate assembly instructions are not included in this bracket installation manual and should be provided separately with your step plate.
Yes, the Curt 571439/401439 W2W MEGA/GRIP STEP BRACKETS fit 2014 and newer RAM 2500 pickups. Rear bracket orientation differs for Mega Cab versus Regular/Quad/Crew Cab models.
