LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards give you the best of both worlds with a ready-to-work construction and the stylish of popular nerf bars. They feature high-traction rubber treads, a sleek finish and a non-corrosive build -- all to give you dependable footing whether you're headed for work or play. MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards are uniquely designed with extra length on the rear of the boards, reaching all the way to the back wheels. This provides a convenient and secure step for reaching into the truck bed and accessing the crossover truck tool box, headache rack or 5th wheel hitch. The entire length of the running boards is covered with a non-skid rubber tread for enhanced safety, even in wet, rainy conditions. Unlike plastic treads, rubber offers better grip for your boots or shoes. The base of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is an extruded aluminum alloy, providing excellent strength, while remaining lightweight and completely rust-free. To give these truck side steps a touch of style, they are fitted with a polished stainless steel trim that contours around the boards and gives them a look similar to popular nerf bars. The trim piece is polished to a mirror-like shine and easily withstands rain, snow, dirt and more. To make installation fast, easy and secure, LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel steps are made vehicle-specific. Each set has a specific board length and vehicle-specific brackets, providing a custom fit for each unique truck. The brackets install using pre-existing mounting points to eliminate difficult modifications, and the running boards can be positioned inward, outward, forward or backward to suit personal preferences. This particular set of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is designed for specific years of the Ram 3500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" wheel-to-wheel running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality, featuring 5" wide rubber treads that extend the full length of the side steps for dependable, non-skid traction wherever the road takes you.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the Curt 571338 W2W Mega Step Brackets are designed specifically for 2013-2015 RAM 3500 pickups. The installation method varies depending on whether your truck has threaded inserts in the rocker panel or not.
The manual does not list 2009-2012 RAM trucks as an application for the 571338. However, a note states that 2009-2012 trucks do not have obround holes in the pinchweld and would require drilling two 5/16" holes for each bracket. Compatibility for these model years is not confirmed in the manual; contact the manufacturer for fitment verification.
The kit includes: 2 front/middle driver-side brackets (553006), 2 front/middle passenger-side brackets (553007), 1 rear driver-side bracket (553008), 1 rear passenger-side bracket (553009), 2 lower shackle mount brackets (551721), 2 upper shackle mount brackets (551809), 12 carriage bolts 1/4-20 x 1" (101320), 12 flat washers 1/4" (101370), 12 flange nuts 1/4-20 (102366), 12 hex head screws M8 x 25mm (102549), 12 flat washers 5/16" (100034), 6 M8 flange nuts (105859), 6 T-bolt weldments (553012), 6 plastic bolt retainers (101572), 6 flat washers 3/8" (100062), 6 serrated flange nuts 3/8-16 (100181), and 6 hex head screws 3/8-16 x 1.0" (100040).
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting the installation.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (553006) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 2. Align the two rectangular holes in the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (101320) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. 4. Add a 1/4" flat washer (101370) and 1/4-20 flange nut (102366) to each bolt, leaving finger tight. 5. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (102549) with a 5/16" flat washer (100034) through the slots on the upper mounting flange, leaving finger tight. 6. Repeat for the middle (553007) and rear (553008) brackets on the driver's side. 7. Mirror this process on the passenger side using bracket 553007 for front, 553006 for middle, and 553009 for rear.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (553012) into the large obround hole on the vertical wall of the rocker panel, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud protruding. 2. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (101572) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. 3. Place the driver's side front bracket (553006) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 4. Align the two rectangular holes in the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 5. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (101320) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. 6. Add a 1/4" flat washer (101370) and 1/4-20 flange nut (102366) to each bolt, leaving finger tight. 7. Place a flat washer (100034) and M8 flange nut (105859) on the T-bolt's threaded stud, leaving finger tight. 8. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. 9. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (102549) with a 5/16" flat washer (100034), leaving finger tight. 10. Repeat steps 2.5-2.8 for the middle (553007) and rear (553008) brackets. 11. Mirror this process on the passenger side using bracket 553007 for front, 553006 for middle, and 553009 for rear.
Yes. 2009-2012 RAM trucks do not have obround holes in the pinchweld. You will need to drill two 5/16" holes for each bracket. To locate the holes, follow the installation steps for trucks without threaded inserts (step 2.5), then mark the pinchweld for drilling with the bracket in place before drilling.
1. Loosen the bolt that fastens the leaf spring to the vehicle. 2. Slide the upper mounting bracket (551809) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. 3. Place a 3/8" bolt and washer (100062, 100040) through the hole in the upper mounting bracket and frame bracket. 4. Fasten with a 3/8" serrated flange nut (100181). 5. Tighten the leaf spring bolt, ensuring the upper mounting bracket is level. 6. Fasten the lower bracket (551721) to the upper bracket (551809) using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and flange nut (100040, 100062, 100181) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket, ensuring it sits level to the front brackets.
Install the step plates and adjust the brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners. This allows you to ensure proper alignment and level positioning before final tightening.
The passenger-side installation is a mirror image of the driver's side. Use bracket 553007 (front/middle passenger-side) for the front position, bracket 553006 (front/middle driver-side) for the middle position, and bracket 553009 (rear passenger-side) for the rear position. The installation procedure is otherwise identical.
Finger tight means tightened by hand only, without using tools. This is done during the initial assembly to allow for adjustment and alignment before final tightening with tools after the step plates are installed and brackets are adjusted.
The Curt 571338 W2W Mega Step Brackets fit 2013-2015 RAM 3500 pickups. Installation varies depending on whether your truck has threaded inserts in the rocker panel.
Drilling is required only for 2009-2012 RAM trucks, which need two 5/16" holes drilled per bracket in the pinchweld. 2013-2015 RAM 3500 pickups have pre-drilled obround holes and do not require drilling.
No. You only need to loosen the bolt that fastens the leaf spring to the vehicle, slide the upper mounting bracket between the bolt head and frame bracket, and then retighten the leaf spring bolt.
Leave all fasteners finger tight during initial installation. Tighten them fully only after installing the step plates and adjusting the brackets and boards for proper alignment and level positioning.
Two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (101320) per bracket, with 1/4" flat washers (101370) and 1/4-20 flange nuts (102366). An M8 x 25mm hex head screw (102549) with a 5/16" flat washer (100034) is used for the upper mounting flange.
The plastic bolt retainer (101572) is attached to the threaded stud of the T-bolt weldment to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel during installation on trucks without threaded inserts.
