They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a universal step system available in models 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. It is designed for universal application and requires a specific bracket package (included separately) to mount to your vehicle. The step assembly consists of aluminum extrusions available in silver or black, step pads, end caps, and mounting hardware.
The MEGA STEP bracket model 571747 is designed for 2015 and newer GM 2500/3500HD pickups with either gas or diesel engines. It uses a body mount application and requires no drilling. If you have a 1500 pickup, you must also attach the small 90° bracket (Item #14) to the front brackets. For other vehicle makes and models, you will need a different bracket package.
The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a universal step assembly that requires a vehicle-specific bracket package to be installed first. The MEGA STEP bracket model 571747 is a specific bracket system designed for 2015+ GM 2500/3500HD pickups. The O-MEGA II steps are then mounted to the brackets. The two products work together as a complete system.
The O-MEGA II step includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (available in 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0" lengths, in silver or black), 6 step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 28 square head bolts (5/16-18 x 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
The MEGA STEP bracket 571747 includes: front, center, and rear mounting brackets (left and right), load reaction studs, rubber cushion washers, flat washers, serrated flange nuts, hex head screws, a 90° bracket (for 1500 pickups), spring hanger mounting brackets, and self-locking nuts. Specific quantities are listed in the Service Parts List. Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts. You must also loosen (not remove) the spring hanger bolts just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket behind the flange. The manual notes that 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra models have excessive thread locker on body mount bolts, so use caution when removing them.
1. Pre-assemble the front bracket with three 3/8"-16 x 1.0" screws, washers, and flange nuts, torqued to 19 lb-ft (add 90° bracket for 1500 pickups). 2. Assemble load reaction studs with rubber cushion washers and flange nuts. 3. Attach load reaction studs to mounting brackets. 4. Remove factory body mount bolts and install front, center, and rear mounting brackets (finger tight). 5. Attach rear outboard bracket to rear inboard bracket with three 3/8"-16 x 1.0" screws, torqued to 19 lb-ft. 6. Attach spring hanger mounting brackets (finger tight). 7. Install step boards per their instructions. 8. Tighten load reaction bolt assembly flange nuts to 19 lb-ft. 9. Repeat for right side.
1. Install the specific bracket package for your vehicle per its included instructions. 2. Attach step pads to step plates: use the pad location guide on sheet 2 to position pads, drill five 1/8" holes using the pad as a guide, and attach with five #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws. For short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap. 3. Install square head bolts into slots in the bottom of step plates. 4. Install end caps, tightening nuts to 5 lb-ft. 5. Position the step on mounting brackets with square head screws in bracket slots, centered front to rear. 6. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes in each step plate to attach the step pads. Use the step pad as a guide for hole placement. You will need a drill bit and drill tool to complete this step. The MEGA STEP bracket 571747 is a no-drill application for the brackets themselves, but you must still drill holes for the step pads if using O-MEGA II steps.
No. The MEGA STEP bracket 571747 is a no-drill application. All mounting uses factory body mount bolt holes and spring hanger bolt locations. However, if you are installing O-MEGA II steps on these brackets, you will need to drill holes for the step pads.
End cap nuts: 5 lb-ft. Square head screw flange nuts (mounting to brackets): 19 lb-ft.
Front bracket assembly (3/8"-16 x 1.0" screws): 19 lb-ft. Rear outboard bracket attachment (3/8"-16 x 1.0" screws): 19 lb-ft. Load reaction bolt assembly flange nuts: 19 lb-ft. Factory body mount bolts and spring hanger bolts must be torqued to manufacturer specifications (not provided in this manual).
Drill five 1/8" holes in each step plate using the step pad as a guide. Attach with five #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6).
The end of the load reaction stud must be recessed in the rubber cushion washer approximately 3/16". This is achieved by installing the 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread, then installing the 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight up against the serrated flange nut.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 to position pads for your specific vehicle model. The guide provides measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations for Silverado/Sierra (double, extended, and crew cabs), Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana vans, RAM (quad, crew, and mega cabs), and Ford F150/Super Duty models. For short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Note: these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Position the step so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
The rear outboard mounting bracket (Item #7) must be mounted to the back side of the rear inboard mounting bracket (Item #9), towards the rear of the vehicle. It is attached using three 3/8"-16 x 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts, torqued to 19 lb-ft. There is a difference between double cab and crew cab applications—use the correct holes as shown in Figures 2 and 3.
1. Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #16) up behind the flange of the bolt. 2. Position the inboard bracket behind the flange with the channel open to the outboard side. 3. Install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #17) using a 3/8"-16 bolt, 3/8" washer, 1/2" washer, and 3/8" lock nut so the inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket. 4. Leave these fasteners finger tight at this time. 5. After installing step boards and tightening load reaction bolts, the spring hanger bolts will be fully tightened per manufacturer specifications.
Leave the following fasteners finger tight until final assembly: front mounting bracket fasteners (Step 5.1), center mounting bracket fasteners (Step 5.2), rear mounting bracket fasteners (Step 5.3), and spring hanger mounting bracket fasteners (Step 6.2). Tighten the load reaction bolt assembly flange nuts to 19 lb-ft in Step 8. Torque factory body mount bolts to manufacturer specifications after step board installation.
The 90° bracket (Item #14) is required only if you are installing the MEGA STEP bracket 571747 on a 1500 pickup. It must be attached to the front brackets as shown in Figure 1. For 2500/3500HD pickups, the 90° bracket is not needed.
Use caution when removing the body mount bolts on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra models because excessive thread locker is present in the body mount bolt area. Take your time and apply appropriate force to avoid stripping or damaging the bolts.
Ensure that the mounting brackets do not touch the inside wall of the body mount housing. After installing the step boards, torque the body mount fasteners to the manufacturer's specifications. CURT Group recommends regular inspection and maintenance of the leaf spring attachment point per GM Technical Service Bulletin 09-03-09-001E. Failure to regularly inspect and maintain factory-recommended torque values may result in damage to the vehicle.

The MEGA STEP bracket 571747 fits 2015+ GM 2500/3500HD pickups (gas or diesel). If you have a 1500 pickup, you must also use the small 90° bracket (Item #14). For other vehicles, you need a different bracket package.
You need a drill with a 1/8" bit to drill holes for step pad attachment. A torque wrench is required to tighten fasteners to specification (5 lb-ft for end caps, 19 lb-ft for mounting bolts). Standard wrenches or sockets are needed for bolt installation.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws to 19 lb-ft. End cap nuts are tightened to 5 lb-ft.
Front bracket assembly: 19 lb-ft. Rear outboard bracket: 19 lb-ft. Load reaction bolt assembly: 19 lb-ft. Factory body mount and spring hanger bolts must be torqued to manufacturer specifications.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts. You must loosen (not remove) the spring hanger bolts to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket behind the flange. Use caution on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra models due to excessive thread locker.
Ensure mounting brackets do not touch the inside wall of the body mount housing. Torque body mount fasteners to manufacturer specifications. Regularly inspect and maintain leaf spring attachment points per GM TSB 09-03-09-001E to prevent vehicle damage.
