They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps package includes two extrusion assemblies (available in silver or black aluminum), step pads, end caps, square head bolts, serrated flange nuts, and TEK screws. The specific extrusion length depends on your model number (583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, or 584125). You will also need a bracket package specific to your vehicle, which is ordered separately and includes its own mounting hardware.
Model 571747 MEGA STEP Brackets are designed for 2015 and newer GM 2500/3500HD pickups with either gas or diesel engines. This is a body mount application with no drilling required. If you have a 1500 pickup, you will need to attach an additional small 90° bracket (Item #14) to the front brackets. For other truck models or years, you will need a different bracket package.
Step pad positions vary by vehicle model and cab style. For example, Silverado/Sierra Double Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4", while Crew Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 54-1/4". Ford F150 Super Crew Cab uses Pad A at 18-1/4" and Pad B at 56-1/2". Some vehicles like Chevrolet Express Van and Ford (base model) use only Pad A with no Pad B. Refer to the Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 for your specific vehicle. Note: these are suggestions and may be adjusted at the purchaser's discretion.
Yes. The MEGA STEP bracket installation requires you to remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts and replace them with the mounting brackets. The manual notes that 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra models have excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area, so use caution when removing these bolts. The brackets are then installed to these three body mount locations and left finger tight until final assembly is complete.
No. Model 571747 is a no-drill application. The brackets mount to existing factory body mount locations and spring hanger bolts without requiring any drilling into the vehicle frame or body.
Yes, but only for attaching the step pads to the step plates. You must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide, then attach each pad with five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws. The bracket mounting to the vehicle requires following the instructions included with your specific bracket package, which may or may not require drilling depending on the bracket model.
Follow this sequence: (1) Install step pads (Item #2) onto step plates using five 1/8" drilled holes and five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws per pad, positioning pads according to your vehicle model on Sheet 2. For short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. (2) Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. (3) Install end caps (Item #3) and tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft. (4) Position the assembled step on the mounting brackets so square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. (5) Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 to determine the correct distance from the end cap for your specific vehicle model. The guide provides two pad positions: Pad A (closer to the end cap) and Pad B (further along the step). For example, Silverado/Sierra Double Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4" from the end cap. Some vehicles use only Pad A. Note: these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. For short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly.
Follow this sequence: (1) Pre-assemble the front bracket on the left side using three 3/8"-16×1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts, torqued to 19 lb-ft. If installing on a 1500 pickup, attach the small 90° bracket (Item #14) to the front brackets. (2) Assemble the load reaction studs with rubber cushion washers and serrated flange nuts as specified. (3) Attach load reaction stud assemblies to the mounting brackets. (4) Remove factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts and install the three mounting brackets (front, center, rear) finger tight. (5) Attach the rear outboard bracket to the rear inboard bracket using three 3/8"-16×1.0" screws, washers, and nuts, torqued to 19 lb-ft. (6) Install spring hanger mounting brackets. (7) Install step boards per their included instructions. (8) Tighten all body mount fasteners to manufacturer specs and load reaction bolt assembly flange nuts to 19 lb-ft. (9) Repeat for the right side.
Assemble each load reaction stud (Item #12) as follows: (1) On the short threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #11) backwards to the bottom of the thread. (2) Install a 3/8" flat washer (Item #19) and rubber cushion washer (Item #10) tight against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". (3) On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #11) backwards to near the bottom of the threads. Then attach the assembled stud to the mounting bracket by inserting it from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange, and install a 3/8" serrated flange nut on the outboard end finger tight only.
Install the spring hanger mounting brackets (Items #16, #17) as follows: (1) Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #16) up behind the flange of the bolt. Position it behind the flange with the channel open to the outboard side. (2) Using a 3/8"-16 bolt, 3/8" washer, 1/2" washer, and 3/8" lock nut (Items #19-21), install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #17) so that the inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket. Leave these fasteners finger tight at this time. (3) After installing the step boards and tightening all body mount fasteners to manufacturer specs, tighten the load reaction bolt assembly flange nuts to 19 lb-ft.
Tighten the end cap (Item #3) nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Assemble the front bracket using three 3/8"-16×1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts, torqued to 19 lb-ft.
Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (Item #7) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (Item #9) using three 3/8"-16×1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts, torqued to 19 lb-ft.
After positioning the load reaction bolt assembly so the rubber cushion is snug against the frame side, tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 lb-ft.
Torque the body mount fasteners to the manufacturer's specifications. The manual does not specify the exact torque value; you must refer to the GM factory specifications for your vehicle.
Use caution when removing the body mount bolts, especially on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra models, which have excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area. This may make removal more difficult. Take your time and use appropriate tools to avoid stripping or damaging the bolts or mounting points.
The mounting brackets must not touch the inside wall of the body mount housing. Ensure proper positioning during installation to maintain this clearance.
The rubber cushion washer (Item #10) must be recessed in the stud approximately 3/16". Additionally, after assembly, the rubber cushion must be snug against the side of the frame before final tightening of the flange nuts. This ensures proper load distribution and prevents damage to the frame.
CURT Group recommends regular inspection and maintenance of the leaf spring attachment point per GM Technical Service Bulletin 09-03-09-001E: Clunking Noise from Rear of Vehicle (Re-torque Leaf Spring Bolts) - 2007-2017 Chevrolet GMC Trucks. Failure to regularly inspect and maintain factory-recommended torque values may result in damage to the vehicle. Consult the GM TSB for specific inspection intervals and procedures.
Model 571747 fits 2015+ GM 2500/3500HD pickups (gas or diesel). If you have a 1500 pickup, you need the additional 90° bracket (Item #14). For other trucks, you need a different bracket package.
No. Model 571747 is a no-drill application. It mounts to existing factory body mount and spring hanger locations.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts and replace them with the mounting brackets. Use caution on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra models due to excessive thread locker.
