LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a universal application product. The manual does not specify which vehicle makes and models it is designed for. You must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle. Consult the bracket package documentation or contact CURT Manufacturing to confirm fitment for your vehicle.
The 571747 MEGA STEP Bracket is designed for 2015 and newer GM 2500/3500HD pickups with either gas or diesel engines. It uses a body mount application and requires no drilling. If you have a 1500 pickup, you must also attach the small 90° bracket (Item #14) to the front brackets.
Yes. If you are installing the 571747 MEGA STEP Bracket on a 1500 pickup, you must attach the small 90° bracket (Item #14) to the front brackets. This bracket is included in the parts list and is not required for 2500/3500HD applications.
The O-MEGA II step kit includes: 2 extrusions (available in silver or black, in five different lengths: 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0"), 6 aluminum step pads (black), 4 plastic end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 × 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 tek screws (#8-18 × 1/2", stainless steel). Exact quantities are listed in the Service Parts List on page 1.
The 571747 kit includes mounting brackets (front, center, rear inboard and outboard, and spring hanger brackets), load reaction studs, rubber cushion washers, flat washers, serrated flange nuts, hex head screws, self-locking nuts, and a 90° bracket for 1500 applications. Complete part numbers and quantities are listed in the Service Parts List on page 4.
Yes. Step 5 requires you to remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts and install the mounting brackets in their place. The manual notes that 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra vehicles have excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area, so use caution when removing these bolts.
Before attaching the O-MEGA II steps to the brackets, place the step pads (Item #2) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide table on Sheet 2 to position the pads for your specific vehicle model. The guide provides measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations. Note: due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately ½" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. The note on Sheet 2 states these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the steps, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The pads are then attached with five 8-18 × 1/2" tek screws (Item #6) provided in the kit.
No. The 571747 MEGA STEP Bracket is a no-drill application. It uses the existing factory body mount bolt holes and spring hanger bolt location.
The end caps (Item #3) should be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) should be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The front bracket assembly (Items #2, #4) should be torqued to 19 lb-ft. This assembly uses three 3/8"-16 × 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (Items #13, #19, #11).
The rear outboard mounting bracket (Item #7) attached to the rear inboard mounting bracket (Item #9) should be torqued to 19 lb-ft. This assembly uses three 3/8"-16 × 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (Items #13, #19, #11).
The 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the load reaction bolt assembly should be tightened to 19 lb-ft. This is done after positioning the load reaction bolt assembly so that the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame.
The load reaction stud assembly (Items #10, #11, #12, #19) is assembled as follows: (1) On the short threaded end of the stud (Item #12), install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #11) backwards to the bottom of the thread. (2) Then install a 3/8" flat washer (Item #19) and rubber cushion washer (Item #10) tight against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". (3) On the long threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #11) backwards to near the bottom of the threads.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #11) on the outboard end of the stud and leave it finger tight only at this stage. The studs are fully tightened in Step 8 after positioning the rubber cushion snug against the frame side.
After removing the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts, install the brackets as follows: (1) Install the front mounting bracket (Items #2, #4) to the front body mount, leaving fasteners finger tight. (2) Install the center mounting bracket (Item #5) to the center body mount, leaving fasteners finger tight. (3) Install the rear mounting bracket (Item #9) and washer (Item #15) to the rear body mount, leaving fasteners finger tight. (4) Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (Item #7) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (Item #9) using three 3/8"-16 × 1.0" screws, flat washers, and flange nuts, torqued to 19 lb-ft. The rear outboard bracket must be mounted to the back side (toward the rear) of the rear inboard bracket. Note: there is a difference between double cab and crew cab applications—refer to Figures 2 and 3 for correct hole placement.
The spring hanger mounting brackets (Items #16, #17) are installed against the side of the vehicle spring hanger as follows: (1) Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough so the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #16) can be slid up behind the flange of the bolt. Position it behind the flange with the channel open to the outboard side. (2) Using a 3/8"-16 bolt, 3/8" washer, 1/2" washer, and 3/8" lock nut (Items #19-21), install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #17) so the inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket. Leave these fasteners finger tight at this time. Final tightening occurs after the step boards are installed.
The installation sequence is: (1) Pre-assemble the front bracket on the left side. (2) Assemble the load reaction studs and hardware. (3) Attach the load reaction stud assemblies to the mounting brackets. (4) Remove factory body mount bolts and install the front, center, and rear mounting brackets (finger tight). (5) Attach the rear outboard bracket to the rear inboard bracket (torque to 19 lb-ft). (6) Install the spring hanger mounting brackets (finger tight). (7) Install the step boards per their included instructions, ensuring brackets do not touch the inside wall of the body mount housing, and torque the body mount fasteners to manufacturer specs. (8) Position the load reaction bolt assembly with rubber cushion snug against the frame and tighten the flange nuts to 19 lb-ft. (9) Repeat steps 1–7 for the right side.
Due to excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra vehicles, use caution when removing the body mount bolts. The manual also recommends regular inspection and maintenance of the leaf spring attachment point per GM Technical Service Bulletin 09-03-09-001E (Clunking Noise from Rear of Vehicle—Re-torque Leaf Spring Bolts) for 2007–2017 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Failure to regularly inspect and maintain factory-recommended torque values may result in damage to the vehicle.
Ensure that the mounting brackets do not touch the inside wall of the body mount housing. After installing the step boards, torque the body mount fasteners to the manufacturer's specifications. Additionally, the rubber cushion washer on the load reaction stud must be positioned snug against the side of the frame before final tightening.
