LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, use the step pad location guide on sheet 2 to determine the correct position for your vehicle model. Pad A and pad B positions are measured from a reference point and vary by cab style and vehicle type. Note that these locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. Once positioned, drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter using the step pad as a guide, then attach with 5 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws. For shorter boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly.
Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
1. On the left side, remove the plastic body plugs on the vertical wall of the rocker panel and insert a 5/16"-18 U-nut (item #7). If threaded inserts are present in the upper location, use black M8-1.25 x 30 mm bolts (item #9) instead. 2. Position the mounting brackets (item #2) so holes line up with the inside wall of the rocker panel. Install a 5/16"-18 x 1.0" hex bolt and 5/16" flat washer (items #4, #5) finger tight. 3. Install a black M8-1.25 x 30 mm hex bolt, 5/16" flat washer, and pinch weld support (items #4, #8, #9) through the hole and install an M8-1.25 nut (item #6) finger tight on the back. 4. Repeat for remaining brackets. 5. Repeat steps 2–4 for the right side.
1. Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough so the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #10) can be slid up behind the flange of the bolt. Position the inboard bracket behind the flange with the channel open to the outboard side. 2. Using a 3/8"-16 bolt, 3/8" washer, 1/2" washer, and 3/8" lock nut (items #12–15), install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #11) so the inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket. Leave these fasteners finger tight at this time.
After the step board is installed, press the step down and back, then tighten the mounting bolts to 19 lb-ft. Start with the bottom bolts followed by the top bolts.
