LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The MEGA STEP Brackets (model 571747) are designed for 2015 and newer GM 2500/3500HD pickups with gas or diesel engines. The installation uses a body mount application and is a no-drill installation. Note: If installing on a 1500 pickup, you must attach the small 90° bracket (item #14) to the front brackets.
The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are listed as a universal application. However, the step pad positioning varies by vehicle model and cab style. The manual provides a step pad location guide for specific vehicles including Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, Ram, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, and Toyota Tundra and Tacoma models. The pad locations shown are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
The O-MEGA II steps include: 2 extrusions (available in silver or black, in three lengths: 69.0", 75.0", or 85.0"), 4 step pads (item #552970), 4 end caps (item #107956), 24 square head screws 5/16-18 x 1" (item #106880), 24 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (item #102680), and 20 tek screws #8-18 x 1/2" stainless steel (item #107958) for attaching the pads.
The MEGA STEP Brackets include: mounting brackets (front, center, rear inboard and outboard, spring hanger), 6 double-ended studs 3/8-16 x 4.0" (item #104686), 30 serrated flange nuts 3/8-16 (item #100181), 12 hex head screws 3/8-16 x 1.0" (item #100040), 2 small 90° brackets for 1500 applications (item #551571), 22 flat washers 3/8" (item #100062), 6 rubber cushion washers (item #102592), 4 flat washers 1/2" (item #100118), 2 self-locking nuts 3/8-16 (item #102381), and 2 hex head screws 3/8-16 x 2" (item #101326).
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes through the step plates using the step pad as a guide before attaching the step pads. These holes are used to secure the pads with the provided tek screws.
No. The MEGA STEP Brackets are a no-drill application. The brackets mount to existing factory body mount locations and spring hanger bolts without requiring drilling.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts to install the MEGA STEP Brackets. The brackets are then installed at these three body mount locations. Note: The 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra has excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area, so use caution when removing these bolts.
Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 to determine the correct position for your specific vehicle model and cab style. The guide provides measurements for pad A (front pad) and pad B (rear pad) for vehicles including Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, Ram, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, and Toyota Tundra and Tacoma. The pad locations shown are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (item #12), install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #11) backwards to the bottom of the thread. Then install a 3/8" flat washer (item #19) and rubber cushion washer (item #10) tight against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". On the long threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #11) backwards to near the bottom of the threads.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #11) on the outboard end of the stud, but leave it finger tight only at this stage. The studs are fully tightened later after the step boards are installed.
Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #16) up behind the flange of the bolt. Position it with the channel open to the outboard side. Using a 3/8-16 bolt, 3/8" washer, 1/2" washer, and 3/8" lock nut (items #19-21), install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #17) so that the inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket. Leave these fasteners finger tight at this time.
Most fasteners are left finger tight during initial assembly. After the step boards are installed and positioned, tighten the load reaction bolt assembly flange nuts to 19 lb-ft when the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame. The body mount fasteners should be torqued to the manufacturer's specifications. Ensure the mounting brackets do not touch the inside wall of the body mount housing.
The end caps (item #3) should be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) should be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The front bracket assembly (items #2, #4) should be torqued to 19 lb-ft. The rear outboard mounting bracket attachment (item #7) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #9) should be torqued to 19 lb-ft. The load reaction stud assembly flange nuts should be tightened to 19 lb-ft. The body mount fasteners should be torqued to the manufacturer's specifications.
You must drill five 1/8" holes through the step plates using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pads with the provided #8-18 x 1/2" tek screws.
Use caution when removing the body mount bolts on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra vehicles because there is excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area. Take your time and use appropriate tools to avoid stripping or damaging the bolts.
CURT Group recommends regular inspection and maintenance of the leaf spring attachment point per GM Technical Service Bulletin 09-03-09-001E: Clunking Noise from Rear of Vehicle (Re-torque Leaf Spring Bolts) for 2007-2017 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Failure to regularly inspect and maintain factory-recommended torque values may result in damage to the vehicle.
Read the instructions completely and check that all required parts listed on the Service Parts List are on hand before starting the installation. You will also need to follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle.
