LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The specific bracket package is ordered separately and includes its own instructions.
Yes. Model 571747 is designed for 2015+ GM 2500/3500HD pickups with gas or diesel engines, using body mount attachment (no-drill application). If you have a 1500 pickup, you must also attach the small 90° bracket (Item #14) to the front brackets.
The guide covers Silverado/Sierra (double, extended, and crew cab), Colorado/Canyon (extended and crew cab), Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon XL, Tahoe, Yukon, RAM (quad, crew, and mega cab), Dodge Dakota quad cab, Dodge Durango, Ford F150 (super cab and super crew cab), Ford Super Duty (super cab and crew cab), Toyota Tundra (double cab and CrewMax 07+), and Toyota Tacoma (access cab and double cab). Pad locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
The manual specifies drilling five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide, but does not list specific tools required. You will need a drill capable of making 1/8" holes and a wrench or socket to tighten nuts to the specified torque values (5 lb-ft for end caps, 19 lb-ft for serrated flange nuts).
The manual does not specify required tools. However, you will need wrenches or sockets to handle 3/8"-16 fasteners, a torque wrench to tighten bolts to 19 lb-ft, and tools to remove and reinstall factory body mount bolts. A spring hanger bolt loosening tool may be helpful for Step 6.1.
The manual does not mention battery disconnection. No electrical work is involved in O-MEGA II installation.
The manual does not mention battery disconnection. No electrical work is involved in MEGA STEP bracket installation.
Read the instructions completely and check that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. Then follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle.
Read the instructions completely and check that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. Then preassemble the front bracket on the left side of the vehicle using three 3/8"-16 X 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts, torqued to 19 lb-ft.
Before attaching the O-MEGA II steps to the brackets, place the step pads (Item #2) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet #2 to position the pads for your particular vehicle model. The guide provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations. Note that these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes through the step pad into the step plate. Attach the pad with five 8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6) provided. Repeat for all step pads.
Install the end caps (Item #3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Position the O-MEGA II step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (Item #12), install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #11) backwards to the bottom of the thread. Then install a 3/8" flat washer (Item #19) and rubber cushion washer (Item #10) tight against the serrated flange nut, with the stud end recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #11) backwards to near the bottom of the threads.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #11) on the outboard end of the stud, finger tight only at this stage.
Remove the factory front body mount bolt and install the front mounting bracket (Items #2, 4) to the front body mount as shown in the instructions. Leave these fasteners finger tight. Note: If installing on a 1500 pickup, you must attach the small 90° bracket (Item #14) to the front brackets.
Remove the factory center body mount bolt and install the center mounting bracket (Item #5) to the center body mount as shown. Leave these fasteners finger tight.
Remove the factory rear body mount bolt and install the rear inboard mounting bracket (Item #9) with washer (Item #15) to the rear body mount as shown, leaving fasteners finger tight. Then attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (Item #7) to the rear inboard bracket using three 3/8"-16 X 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (Items #13, #19, #11), torqued to 19 lb-ft. The rear outboard bracket must be mounted to the back side (toward the rear of the vehicle) of the rear inboard bracket. Note: there is a difference between double cab and crew cab applications—use the correct holes as shown in Figures 2 and 3.
Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #16) up behind the flange of the bolt. Position it behind the flange with the channel open to the outboard side. Using a 3/8"-16 bolt, 3/8" washer, 1/2" washer, and 3/8" lock nut (Items #19-21), install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #17) so that the inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket. Leave these fasteners finger tight at this time.
After positioning the load reaction bolt assembly so that the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame, tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 lb-ft.
Install the step boards as described in the instructions included with your step boards. Ensure that the mounting brackets do not touch the inside wall of the body mount housing and torque the body mount fasteners to manufacturer's specifications.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes through each step pad into the step plate using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the pads with 8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws.
