These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The O-MEGA II steps are a universal application, but you must use the bracket package specific to your vehicle. The manual provides a step pad location guide for Silverado/Sierra (double, extended, crew cab), Colorado/Canyon (extended, crew cab), Avalanche/Suburban/Yukon XL, Tahoe/Yukon, Ram (quad, crew, mega cab), Dodge Dakota quad cab, Dodge Durango, Ford F150 (super cab, super crew cab), Ford Super Duty (super cab, crew cab), Toyota Tundra (double cab, crewmax), and Toyota Tacoma (access cab, double cab). For vehicles not listed, consult the bracket package instructions for your specific vehicle.
The W2W Mega Step Brackets are designed for 2007 and newer GM crew cab pickups and extended cabs only. This includes Silverado, Sierra, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon XL, Tahoe, and Yukon models from 2007 onwards. If your vehicle is older than 2007 or is a different brand, these brackets will not fit.
Each O-MEGA II step kit includes: 2 extrusions (aluminum, 69.0", 75.0", or 85.0" length, available in silver or black), 4 step pads (aluminum, black), 4 end caps (plastic), 24 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18, stainless steel), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2", stainless steel). You must also obtain the bracket package specific to your vehicle, which is sold separately.
The W2W Mega Step Brackets kit includes: 6 mounting brackets, 12 M8 x 30 x 1.25 screws (stainless steel), 12 5/16" standard flat washers (stainless steel), 6 M8 flanged nuts (zinc plated), 6 5/16" x 1.00" screws (zinc plated), 6 U-nuts (5/16"-18), 6 nylon spacer washers (0.312" ID x 1.24" OD x 0.25" thick), 2 nylock hex nuts (3/8-16, zinc plated), 4 half-inch flat washers (zinc plated), 4 3/8" flat washers (zinc plated), 2 rear outboard spring hanger mounting brackets, 2 rear inboard spring hanger mounting brackets, 6 pinch weld support brackets, and 2 hex head bolts (3/8-16 x 2.00", zinc plated). The mega step board assembly is sold separately.
Yes. Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, you must drill 5 holes using the step pad as a guide. Each hole is 1/8" in diameter. The step pads are then attached using 5 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2", stainless steel) provided in the kit. Repeat this process for all step pads.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide table on page 2 of the manual. The table provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B positions for each vehicle model and cab style (double cab, extended cab, crew cab, etc.). For example, Silverado/Sierra double cab requires Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4". Note: the manual states these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
1. Position step pads on top of step plates using the location guide table for your vehicle. 2. Drill 5 holes (1/8" diameter) using the step pad as a guide and attach with 5 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). 3. Install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 4. Install end caps and tighten the nuts to 5 LB FT. 5. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are located in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 6. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT. Follow the bracket package instructions specific to your vehicle for bracket mounting.
1. Attach the top of the mounting brackets to the vehicle with an M8 bolt and washer. The third bracket back uses a U-nut and 5/16" bolt with washer instead. Distance between 1st and 2nd bracket is 24 inches. 2. Insert a nylon washer between the top of the mounting bracket and the bottom of the rocker panel, then install the screw, washer, nut, and pinch weld support bracket. Tighten to 19 LB FT on each bracket. 3. Attach the spring hanger mounting brackets against the side of the vehicle spring hanger. 4. Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket behind the flange. Position it with the channel open to the outboard side. 5. Install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket so its inboard vertical portion fits inside the inboard bracket's channel, using a 3/8" zinc plated bolt, washers, and nylock nut. Leave finger tight. 6. Insert 4 5/16" square head screws in the center slot on the underside of the mega step. 7. Position the mega step on the mounting brackets with square head screws in the bracket slots, centered front to rear. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts and tighten to 19 LB FT. 8. Tighten the spring hanger flange nut to 60 LB FT and the 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT.
The end caps (item #3) must be tightened to 5 LB FT.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (item #4) must be tightened to 19 LB FT.
The screw, washer, nut, and pinch weld support bracket fasteners at the rocker panel must be tightened to 19 LB FT.
The spring hanger flange nut must be tightened to 60 LB FT.
The 5/16" fasteners must be tightened to 19 LB FT.
The distance between the 1st and 2nd bracket is 24 inches.
CURT Group recommends regular inspection and maintenance of the leaf spring attachment point per GM Technical Service Bulletin 09-03-09-001E: Clunking Noise from Rear of Vehicle (Re-torque Leaf Spring Bolts) for 2007-2017 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Failure to regularly inspect and maintain factory-recommended torque values may result in damage to the vehicle.
