LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a universal step assembly available in models 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. It is designed for universal application and requires a specific bracket package matched to your vehicle. The manual provides step pad positioning guides for Silverado/Sierra (double, extended, and crew cab), Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans, RAM (quad, crew, and mega cab), Ford F150 (super cab and super crew cab), and Ford Super Duty (super cab and crew cab) models.
The 570717 W2W Mega Step Brackets are designed specifically for 2007 and newer GM crew cab pickups and extended cabs. If your vehicle is a different make, model, or year, you will need a different bracket package. Consult the bracket package instructions for your specific vehicle to confirm fitment.
The O-MEGA II step assembly includes: two aluminum extrusions (length varies by model), step pads, end caps, square head bolts, serrated flange nuts, and TEK screws. The service parts list shows extrusions in silver or black, six aluminum step pads, four end caps, 28 square head screws, 28 serrated flange nuts, and 30 TEK screws. Verify all parts are present before starting installation per Step 1 of the instructions.
The 570717 bracket kit includes M8 bolts, 5/16" bolts, washers (flat and nylon), flanged nuts, U-nuts, nylock nuts, and mounting brackets. The step board fastener package (square head screws and serrated flange nuts) is sold separately with the step board assembly. Verify all parts from the service parts list are present before installation.
Yes. Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The step pads are then attached with five 8-18 × 1/2" TEK screws (item #6). This drilling is required for each step pad. Note that the box step pad should be mounted approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then the middle step pad positioned accordingly.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 of the manual for your specific vehicle model. The guide provides two pad positions (Pad A and Pad B) measured in inches from a reference point. For example, Silverado/Sierra double cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4". Some vehicles (Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana van and generic Ford) use only Pad A. The note states these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Follow this sequence: (1) Read instructions and verify all parts are present. (2) Follow the specific bracket package instructions for your vehicle to mount brackets. (3) Install step pads on step plates by drilling five 1/8" holes per pad and attaching with TEK screws, using the vehicle-specific positioning guide. (4) Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. (5) Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft. (6) Position the step on the mounting brackets with square head screws in the bracket slots, centered front to rear, and tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft.
Follow this sequence: (1) Read instructions and verify all parts are present. (2) Attach the top of the mounting brackets to the vehicle with an M8 bolt and washer; the third bracket back uses a U-nut and 5/16" bolt instead. Distance between the first and second bracket is 24 inches. (3) Insert a nylon washer between the top of the mounting bracket and the rocker panel, then install the screw, washer, nut, and pinch weld support bracket; tighten to 19 lb-ft. (4) Attach spring hanger mounting brackets: loosen the spring hanger bolt, slide the inboard bracket behind the flange, install the outboard bracket using a 3/8" bolt and washers, and leave fasteners finger tight. (5) Insert four 5/16" square head screws in the center slot under the step. (6) Position the step on the brackets with square head screws in the slots, centered front to rear, and tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft. (7) Tighten the spring hanger flange nut to 60 lb-ft and the 5/16" fasteners to 19 lb-ft.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (item #4) that attach the step to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The screw, washer, nut, and pinch weld support bracket assembly that attaches the mounting bracket to the rocker panel must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The spring hanger flange nut must be tightened to 60 lb-ft. The 5/16" fasteners connecting the inboard and outboard spring hanger mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Five 1/8" diameter holes must be drilled through the step plate using the step pad as a guide. These holes receive the 8-18 × 1/2" TEK screws that attach the step pad.
Five 8-18 × 1/2" TEK screws (item #6) are used per step pad. These screws are installed through 1/8" holes drilled in the step plate using the step pad as a guide.
Four 5/16" square head bolts (item #4) are inserted into the center slot on the underside of the step. These bolts are positioned in the slots of the mounting brackets, and 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) are installed and tightened to 19 lb-ft.
An M8 bolt (item #2) and washer (item #4) attach the top of the mounting bracket to the rocker panel. For the third bracket back, a 5/16" bolt (item #6), U-nut (item #7), and washer (item #4) are used instead. Additionally, a nylon washer (item #8) is inserted between the top of the mounting bracket and the rocker panel, and a screw, washer, nut, and pinch weld support bracket (items #5 and #14) are installed. The assembly is tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #13) is slid up behind the flange of the spring hanger bolt after loosening it slightly. The outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #12) is then installed so its inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket. A 3/8" zinc plated bolt (item #17), washers (items #9-#11), and a 3/8" zinc plated nylock nut are used to connect them. Leave these fasteners finger tight initially, then tighten the spring hanger flange nut to 60 lb-ft and the 5/16" fasteners to 19 lb-ft in step 5.2.
The distance between the first and second bracket is 24 inches.
