LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a vehicle running board available in nine models: 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. The different model numbers correspond to different lengths and finishes (silver or black aluminum extrusions). The step assembly includes the extrusion, step pads, end caps, and mounting hardware.
The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a universal application product, meaning it can be adapted to many vehicles. However, you must use the correct bracket package for your specific vehicle. The manual states to follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using. The step pad location guide on page 2 provides positioning information for Silverado/Sierra, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, RAM, Ford F150, and Ford Super Duty models, but the manual does not list all compatible vehicles. Contact the manufacturer or your retailer to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle.
The W2W Mega Step Bracket model 570717 is designed specifically for 2007 and newer GM crew cab pickups and extended cabs. It is a mounting bracket system that attaches to the vehicle's rocker panel and spring hanger. The mega step board assembly (sold separately) mounts to these brackets. This bracket system is not universal and is vehicle-specific.
The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step includes: two aluminum extrusions (length varies by model), six step pads, four end caps, 28 square head bolts (5/16-18 x 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The manual also requires a specific bracket package (sold separately) for mounting to your vehicle. Always verify all parts are present before starting installation.
The 570717 bracket kit includes: six mounting brackets, 12 M8 x 30 bolts, 12 standard flat washers (5/16"), six M8 flanged nuts, six 5/16" x 1.00" bolts, six U-nuts (5/16"-18), six nylon spacer washers, two 3/8"-16 nylock nuts, four 1/2" flat washers, four 3/8" flat washers, two rear outboard spring hanger mounting brackets, two rear inboard spring hanger mounting brackets, six pinch weld support brackets, and two 3/8"-16 x 2.00" hex head bolts. The mega step board assembly is sold separately.
No. The mega step board assembly is sold separately and is not included with the 570717 bracket kit. The bracket kit provides only the mounting hardware and brackets needed to attach a separately purchased mega step board to your vehicle.
The manual specifies that you will need a drill to create 1/8" holes for the step pad fasteners. The manual does not list other tools required. You will also need to follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package, which may require additional tools. Consult your bracket package instructions for a complete tool list.
Before starting installation, read all instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the service parts list are on hand. Check that you have the correct bracket package for your specific vehicle. Consult the step pad location guide on page 2 to determine the correct positioning for your vehicle model. Do not begin installation until you have confirmed all parts are present and you understand the complete procedure.
Before starting installation, read all instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the service parts list are on hand. Ensure you have the correct mega step board assembly (sold separately) for your vehicle. Confirm your vehicle is a 2007 or newer GM crew cab pickup or extended cab. Have the bracket package instructions available and understand the complete procedure before beginning work.
Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, consult the step pad location guide on page 2 to determine the correct position for your vehicle. Place the step pad on top of the step plate at the specified location. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes through the step pad into the step plate. Attach the step pad with five 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (item #6). For boxes with short lengths, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Repeat this process for all step pads.
After installing the end caps and step pads, position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets. Center the step front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft.
Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in figure 1 on the manual, tightening the nuts to 5 lb ft. The end caps are plastic caps measuring 2.95 x 6.70 inches. Install them before positioning the step on the mounting brackets.
Installation involves five main steps: (1) Attach the top of the mounting brackets to the vehicle with an M8 bolt and washer, spacing the first and second brackets 24 inches apart. The third bracket uses a U-nut and 5/16" bolt. (2) Insert a nylon washer between the top of the mounting bracket and the rocker panel, then install the screw, washer, nut, and pinch weld support bracket, tightening to 19 lb ft. (3) Attach the spring hanger mounting brackets against the side of the vehicle spring hanger. (4) Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket behind the flange. Install the outboard bracket using a 3/8" bolt, washers, and nylock nut, leaving fasteners finger tight. (5) Insert four 5/16" square head screws in the center slot on the underside of the mega step, position the step on the brackets, install serrated flange nuts, and tighten to 19 lb ft. Finally, tighten the spring hanger flange nut to 60 lb ft and the 5/16" fasteners to 19 lb ft.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes through each step pad into the step plate to attach the step pads with TEK screws. The step pad itself is used as a guide for drilling. No other drilling is mentioned in the manual. The bracket installation may require additional drilling; consult your specific bracket package instructions.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (item #4) must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
The W2W Mega Step Bracket 570717 has three torque specifications: (1) The rocker panel mounting fasteners (screw, washer, nut, and pinch weld support bracket) must be tightened to 19 lb ft. (2) The mega step square head screws and serrated flange nuts must be tightened to 19 lb ft. (3) The spring hanger flange nut must be tightened to 60 lb ft. The spring hanger mounting bracket fasteners (3/8" bolt, washers, and nylock nut) are left finger tight during assembly.
The distance between the first and second mounting brackets must be 24 inches.
