LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" OVAL STEP is a running board assembly available in models 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. It is designed as a universal application step that can be mounted to various vehicles using the appropriate bracket package. The step is 6 inches oval in profile and includes aluminum extrusions in silver or black finishes, step pads, end caps, and mounting hardware.
No. The W2W MEGA STEP BRACKET (model 571117) is designed specifically for 2011 and newer 1500/2500/3500 Series Chevrolet and GMC Regular, Extended, and Crew Cab Pickups only. It does not fit other truck models or years. You must use the correct bracket package for your specific vehicle.
Yes. If you are mounting the W2W MEGA STEP on a 1500 model pickup, you must attach bracket 551571 (the 90-degree, 3-hole bracket) to brackets 551902 (center mounting brackets) in order to use the load reaction stud assembly. This bracket is not required for 2500 or 3500 models.
Regular Cab pickups use only the front and center mounting brackets (items #2, #3, #4, #5). They do not use the rear cab mounting bracket assembly. The installation is otherwise the same as Extended and Crew Cab models.
The O-MEGA II step includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (length varies by model), 6 step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). You will also need the appropriate bracket package for your vehicle, which is sold separately.
The W2W MEGA STEP BRACKET kit includes: mounting brackets (front, center, rear inboard and outboard), spring hanger mounting brackets, load reaction studs with hardware, 5/16" square head screws, 5/16" serrated flange nuts, 3/8" bolts, washers, serrated flange nuts, rubber cushion washers, and nylock nuts. The step board assembly (Item #1) is sold separately. Refer to the Service Parts List for complete part numbers and quantities.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts (one side of the vehicle at a time) to install the mounting brackets. The manual also requires loosening the spring hanger bolt to position the spring hanger mounting brackets. After bracket installation, you must retighten all factory bolts to manufacturer specifications.
Use caution when removing the body mount bolts on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra trucks because there is excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area. Removing the bolts carelessly can cause damage to the threaded inserts inside the vehicle.
1. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet #2 to determine the correct position for your vehicle. 2. Place the step pad on top of the step plate. 3. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five (5) 1/8" holes through the step plate. 4. Attach the pad with five (5) 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6). 5. Repeat for all step pads. Note: For short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly.
For a Silverado/Sierra Double Cab, Pad A should be positioned 14-3/4" from the reference point, and Pad B should be positioned 46-3/4" from the reference point. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at the purchaser's discretion.
For a Ford F150 Super Crew Cab, Pad A should be positioned 18-1/4" from the reference point, and Pad B should be positioned 56-1/2" from the reference point. These are suggested locations and may be adjusted at the purchaser's discretion.
Install the end caps (Item #3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb ft. The end caps are plastic and measure 2.95 x 6.70 inches.
1. Install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 2. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. 3. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft.
1. On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (Item #16), install a black 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #15) backwards to the bottom of the thread. 2. Install a black 3/8" flat washer (Item #14) and rubber cushion washer (Item #13) tight against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". 3. On the long threaded end of the stud, install a black 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #15) backwards to near the bottom of the threads.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame side) through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the body brackets that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a black flange nut (Item #15) on the outboard end of the stud finger tight only at this stage.
1. Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough so the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #10) can be slid up behind the flange of the bolt. 2. Position the inboard bracket behind the flange with the channel open to the outboard side. 3. Install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #9) so its inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket, using 3/8" zinc plated bolts, washers, 1/2" washers, and 3/8" zinc plated nylock nuts (Items #18-#21). Leave fasteners finger tight at this stage.
1. Insert four (4) 5/16" square head screws (Item #11) in the center slot on the underside of the step (or three if using cab length boards). 2. Position the step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are located in the center two slots of the brackets and the front of the step is about even with the rear metallic flange of the front wheel well. 3. Locate the step in and out as desired and install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #12) on the square head screws. 4. Tighten the nuts to 19 lb ft.
Yes. You must drill five (5) 1/8" holes through each step plate using the step pad as a guide. The step pads are then attached with five (5) 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws. This drilling is required for all step pads.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (Item #4) must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
The 3/8" black zinc plated bolts connecting the rear outboard cab mounting bracket to the rear inboard cab mounting bracket must be torqued to 19 lb ft. This applies to both Extended Cab and Crew Cab installations.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
All remaining 3/8" bolts and nuts on the W2W MEGA STEP BRACKET must be tightened to 19 lb ft, except where otherwise specified. This includes the spring hanger mounting bracket bolts and load reaction stud fasteners.
The O-MEGA II step is available in five different lengths: 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", and 122.0". Each length is available in silver or black aluminum finish. The step is 6 inches oval in profile.
After attaching the step board, you must: 1. Tighten the body mount bolts per manufacturer specifications. 2. Tighten the spring hanger bolt per manufacturer specifications. 3. Tighten all remaining 3/8" bolts and nuts to 19 lb ft.
