LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II steps are described as a universal application. However, the step pad locations vary significantly by vehicle model. The manual provides a pad location guide for Silverado, Sierra, Express, Savana, Ram, and Ford F-150 and Super Duty models, with pad positions ranging from 6-7/8" to 56-1/2" depending on cab style. The pad locations listed are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
For Silverado and Sierra crew cabs, pad A should be positioned at 14-3/4" and pad B at 54-1/4" from a reference point. These are suggestions and may be adjusted at the purchaser's discretion.
For Ford F-150 Super Crew Cab, pad A should be positioned at 18-1/4" and pad B at 56-1/2" from a reference point. These are suggestions and may be adjusted at the purchaser's discretion.

For Chevrolet Express Van and GMC Savana Van, only pad A is used, positioned at 7-1/2" from a reference point. Pad B is not applicable (N/A). These are suggestions and may be adjusted at the purchaser's discretion.
For Ford Super Duty Super Cab, pad A should be positioned at 6-7/8" and pad B at 39-1/16" from a reference point. These are suggestions and may be adjusted at the purchaser's discretion.
For Ford Super Duty Crew Cab, pad A should be positioned at 6-7/8" and pad B at 52-7/8" from a reference point. These are suggestions and may be adjusted at the purchaser's discretion.
The manual specifies that a drill is required to create five 1/8" holes in the step plates for pad attachment. The manual does not specify other tools required for installation, such as wrenches, sockets, or torque wrenches, though these would be needed to tighten fasteners to the specified torque values.
Yes. The manual states in Step 2 that you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the O-MEGA steps to the brackets.
Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, use the pad location guide on sheet 2 to position the pads for your particular vehicle. For most vehicles with two pads, mount the box step pad first, approximately ½" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. This is necessary due to the shortness of some boxes.
Yes. When installing the pads on the steps, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide, then attach the pads with five 8-18X1/2" TEK screws (item #6).
Five 8-18X1/2" TEK screws (item #6) are used to attach each step pad to the step plates. These screws are installed through five 1/8" holes drilled in the step plates.
The end caps (item #3) are installed as shown in figure 1 and tightened to 5 LB FT.
The end cap nuts should be tightened to 5 LB FT.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws should be tightened to 19 LB FT.
Insert a nylon washer (item #8) between the top of the mounting bracket and the bottom of the rocker panel. Install the screw (item #2), washer (item #4), nut, and pinch weld support bracket (items #5 and #14) on each mounting bracket. Tighten to 19 LB FT.
The rocker panel fasteners should be tightened to 19 LB FT.
Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #13) up behind the flange of the bolt. Position it with the channel open to the outboard side. Install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #12) so its inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket, using a 3/8" zinc plated bolt (item #17), washers, ½" washers, and 3/8" zinc plated nylock nut (items #9-#11). Leave fasteners finger tight at this stage.
Insert four 5/16" square head screws in the center slot on the underside of the step. Position the mega step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT. The fasteners for this step come in the step board fastener package.
The spring hanger flange nut should be tightened to 60 LB FT.
The 5/16" fasteners should be tightened to 19 LB FT.
The distance between the 1st and 2nd bracket should be 24 inches.
The third bracket back requires a U-nut (item #7) and 5/16" bolt (item #6) with washer (item #4) to mount, instead of the M8 bolt used for the first and second brackets.
