Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford Transit-150, Transit-250 and Transit-350 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the 571720 bracket kit is designed for 2015 and newer Ford Transit Van Long/Long configuration. The kit includes front mounting brackets, AC mounting brackets, and AC top mounting brackets specific to this vehicle. You must follow the bracket-specific installation instructions included with the kit.
The manual lists both models as O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps with identical installation instructions and parts lists. The manual does not specify functional or dimensional differences between the two models. Contact the manufacturer or your supplier to confirm which model is appropriate for your vehicle and application.
Required tools are: drill, drill bits (3/32", 3/8", and 19/64"), ratchet, 1/2" wrench, 1/2" socket, flat screwdriver, putty knife, and marker. A 3" U-bolt is also listed as a tool but is actually a supplied part.
The kit includes: 3 front mounting brackets (553204), 1 AC mounting bracket (553211), 1 AC top mounting bracket (553212), 3 U-bolts 3.00" (101795), 6 bolt retainers (101572), 10 5/16" lock washers (100030), 8 5/16" washers (100034), 10 M8 flange nuts (105859), 10 M8 hex bolts (102549), 8 M8 clip nuts (101566), and 2 5/16" thread cutting bolts (109177).
No, you do not need to remove the plastic rocker moulding completely. You only need to release the bottom push pins from the underside using a flat-head screwdriver. Place a putty knife between the pinch weld and the plastic rocker moulding before drilling to avoid damaging the moulding.
1. Locate and mark mounting holes on the passenger side rocker and pinch weld (Steps 1, 4). 2. Drill pilot holes with 3/32" bit, then enlarge to 3/8" (Step 3). 3. Assemble the AC bracket using M8 bolts, 5/16" washers, and M8 nuts (Step 5). 4. Install the front mounting bracket using 3" U-bolts, plastic bolt retainers, 5/16" washers, and 8mm nuts (Step 2). 5. Repeat Steps 1–4 for the driver side (Step 7). 6. Drill upper holes with 19/64" bit and lower holes with 3/8" bit for AC bracket (Step 9). 7. Attach AC bracket using M8 bolts, 5/16" lock washers, and 5/16" thread cutting bolts (Step 10). 8. Leave all brackets loose until the step board is positioned and levelled (Step 11).
Yes, drilling is required. You must drill pilot holes with a 3/32" bit, then enlarge them to 3/8" on the rocker and pinch weld for the front mounting brackets. For the AC bracket, drill upper holes with a 19/64" bit and lower holes with a 3/8" bit. Place a putty knife between the pinch weld and plastic rocker moulding to avoid damaging the moulding during drilling.
Drill a 3/32" pilot hole first, then enlarge it to 3/8" using a 3/8" drill bit. This two-step process ensures accurate hole placement on the rocker and pinch weld.
The upper two holes require a 19/64" drill bit. The lower two holes require a 3/8" drill bit. The upper holes will use self-threading bolts.
Leave all brackets loose until the step board is positioned on the brackets and levelled. Only then should you tighten all brackets to ensure the board is level.
Slide the front mounting bracket onto the 3" U-bolts and secure with 2 5/16" flat washers, 2 8mm nuts on the studs, and 2 5/16" lock washers with 2 8mm bolts in the clip nuts. Leave the bracket loose until final levelling.
Use 2 M8 bolts, 2 5/16" washers, and 2 M8 nuts to assemble the AC bracket. Position it along the pinch seam as shown in the figures before marking the 4 hole locations.
Slide 2 M8 clip nuts onto the pinch weld for the lower holes. Attach the AC bracket using 2 8mm bolts and 2 5/16" lock washers on the bottom clip nuts, and 2 5/16" thread cutting bolts with 2 5/16" lock washers on the upper holes. Leave the bracket loose until the step board is positioned and levelled.
Pass the 3" U-bolt through the top 2 mounting holes and secure it with 2 plastic bolt retainers. Then slide the front mounting bracket onto the U-bolts and secure with fasteners as described in Step 2.
Clip nuts (M8) are slid onto the pinch weld to provide mounting points for the lower holes of the AC bracket. They allow fastening without drilling through the pinch weld itself.
The step assembly includes 2 aluminium extrusions (33.00" O-MEGA, available in silver or black), 2 step pads (black aluminium), 4 end caps (plastic), 16 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 16 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 10 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2").
Place the step pads on top of the step plates. Using the holes in the step pad as a guide, drill 5 pilot holes with a 1/8" bit. Attach each pad with 5 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item #6). Repeat for all step pads.
Install the end caps as shown in Figure 1, tightening the serrated nuts to 5 lb ft.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centred front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft.
The square head screws (item #4) are installed into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. They slide into the slots of the mounting brackets to position and secure the step assembly to the brackets.
