Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford Transit-150, Transit-250 and Transit-350 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a universal application product. However, you must use the bracket package specific to your vehicle. The manual provides a step pad location guide for Silverado/Sierra (Double, Extended, Crew Cab), Chevrolet Express Van, GMC Savana Van, RAM (Quad, Crew, Mega Cab), Ford F150 (Super Cab, Super Crew Cab), and Ford Super Duty (Super Cab, Crew Cab). For other vehicles, follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package.
The 571725 Mega/Omega Step Bracket Kit is designed for 2015 and newer Ford Transit Van Long/Long models only. If you have a different vehicle, you will need a different bracket package.
The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is available in nine models: 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. The manual does not specify which model corresponds to which vehicle or length.
For the O-MEGA II steps, you will need a ratchet and a 1/2" wrench. A drill is required for the step pad installation (5 holes per pad using a 1/8" bit). For the 571725 Ford Transit bracket kit, you will also need a drill with 3/32", 3/8", and 19/64" drill bits, a 1/2" socket, a putty knife, a flat screwdriver, and a marker.
The O-MEGA II step includes: 2 extrusions (aluminum, silver or black, in various lengths), 6 step pads, 4 end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). Refer to the Service Parts List for part numbers and quantities.
The 571725 bracket kit includes: 3 front mounting brackets, 4 middle mounting brackets, 2 rear mounting brackets, 1 AC mounting bracket, 1 AC top mounting bracket, 3 U-bolts (3.00"), 4 U-bolts (3.75"), 8 nylon spacer washers, 16 bolt retainers, 22 5/16" lock washers, 8 5/16" washers, 18 M8 flange nuts, 22 M8 hex bolts, 20 M8 clip nuts, 2 5/16" thread cutting bolts, and 2 T-bolt weldments. See the Service Parts List for part numbers.
The manual does not mention disconnecting the battery. No electrical work is required for the O-MEGA II step installation.

Yes. For each step pad, you must drill 5 holes using a 1/8" drill bit, using the step pad as a guide. The holes are then secured with 5 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). You must repeat this for all step pads.
Yes. Drilling is required at multiple locations. For the front mounting bracket, you will drill pilot holes with a 3/32" bit followed by 3/8" holes. For the AC bracket, you will drill 2 upper holes with a 19/64" bit and 2 lower holes with a 3/8" bit. A putty knife must be placed between the pinch weld and plastic rocker molding to avoid damaging the molding during drilling.
To prevent damage to the plastic rocker molding, place a putty knife between the pinch weld and the plastic rocker molding before drilling. Additionally, do not remove the plastic trim completely; only release the bottom push pins from the underside using a flat head screwdriver.
The manual provides a Step Pad Location Guide on page 2 with specific measurements for different vehicles. For example, Silverado/Sierra Double Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4". For Chevrolet Express Van and Ford models without a Pad B, mount only Pad A. Note: Due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. The pad locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
1. Check that all required parts are on hand. 2. Follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle. 3. Place step pads on top of the step plates and drill 5 holes per pad using a 1/8" bit, then attach with 5 TEK screws. 4. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 5. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 LB FT. 6. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT.
1. Locate mounting locations on the passenger side (Fig 1 and Fig 3) and mark holes. 2. Install the 3" U-bolt through the top 2 mounting holes with plastic bolt retainers, slide clip nuts on the pinch weld for bottom locations, and secure the front mounting bracket with washers, nuts, and bolts. Leave loose. 3. Drill pilot holes with a 3/32" bit, then 3/8" holes. Use a putty knife to protect the rocker molding. Release bottom push pins from the underside. 4. Repeat for the second bracket. 5. Move to the 3rd and 4th brackets (use factory studs if available, or 3.75" U-bolts with pre-drilled holes). 6. Continue to the 5th bracket and insert the 8mm T-bolt weldment. 7. Repeat on the driver side (Fig 2 and Fig 4). 8. Install the AC bracket using the marked locations. 9. Assemble the AC bracket with M8 bolts and washers. 10. Drill 2 upper holes with a 19/64" bit and 2 lower holes with a 3/8" bit for the AC bracket. 11. Attach the AC bracket with M8 bolts and 5/16" thread cutting bolts. 12. Leave all brackets loose until the step board is placed and leveled, then tighten all brackets.
The end caps (Item #3) should be tightened to 5 LB FT.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (Item #4) should be tightened to 19 LB FT.
The manual does not provide torque specifications for the 571725 bracket kit fasteners. The instructions state to leave all brackets loose until the step board is placed and leveled, then tighten all brackets so the board is level, but no specific torque values are given.
For the O-MEGA II step, follow the torque specifications in the installation steps (5 LB FT for end caps, 19 LB FT for square head screws). For the 571725 bracket kit, leave all brackets loose until the step board is placed on the brackets. Then tighten all brackets so the board is level.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. The step board should be level before final tightening.
For the 3rd and 4th mounting brackets on the 571725 kit, models with factory studs will use those as mounting locations. Models without factory studs will have holes pre-drilled in the rocker panel and will use 3.75" U-bolts with plastic bolt retainers.
The 8mm T-bolt weldment with a plastic retainer clip is inserted to secure the 5th mounting bracket on the 571725 kit. It is then used to slide the rear mounting bracket on and secure it with M8 nuts and bolts.
The 571725 kit includes both an AC mounting bracket (553211) and an AC top mounting bracket (553212). The AC bracket is installed along the pinch seam with 4 hole locations (2 upper holes drilled with a 19/64" bit and 2 lower holes with a 3/8" bit). The AC top mounting bracket is used in the assembly process. The manual does not provide detailed specifications distinguishing their functions.
After installation, verify that the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle and that all fasteners are tightened to the specified torque values: 5 LB FT for end caps and 19 LB FT for the square head screw serrated flange nuts.
After installation, verify that the step board is level before final tightening. Ensure all brackets are tightened so the board is level. The manual does not specify additional post-installation checks.
The manual does not provide maintenance instructions for the O-MEGA II step.
