Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. This package includes the side steps only and requires mounting brackets for a complete installation (sold separately).

LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. The O-MEGA II package (models 583036 or 584036) includes two aluminum extrusions (available in silver or black), two step pads, four end caps, 16 square head screws, 16 serrated flange nuts, and 10 TEK screws. You will also need a bracket package specific to your vehicle, which is ordered separately and includes its own installation instructions.
Yes. The O-MEGA II steps require a bracket package specific to your vehicle. The bracket package is not included with the steps and must be ordered separately. Follow the installation instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the steps.
You will need a drill with a 1/8" drill bit to create pilot holes in the step pads, and a torque wrench capable of measuring torque in lb-ft (pound-feet). Additional tools required depend on your specific bracket package installation; refer to the bracket package instructions for those requirements.
Yes. You must read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the Service Parts List are on hand before starting installation. This prevents delays and ensures you have everything needed.
Place the step pads (item #2) on top of the step plates. Using the holes in the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" pilot holes. Attach the pads with five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (item #6) provided. Repeat this process for all step pads.
1. Install step pads on step plates using 1/8" pilot holes and TEK screws. 2. Install square head screws into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 3. Install end caps and tighten serrated nuts to 5 lb-ft. 4. Position the assembled step on the mounting brackets, ensuring square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 5. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in Figure 1, and tighten the serrated nuts (item #5) to 5 lb-ft. Refer to Figure 1 on the manual for the correct positioning.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. This ensures proper alignment and weight distribution.
Tighten the serrated nuts (item #5) on the end caps to 5 lb-ft.
