Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ram ProMaster 1500, 2500 and 3500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The O-MEGA II 6" oval steps (models 583036 and 584036) are side steps available in silver or black aluminum extrusions. Each kit includes two 33-inch extrusions, two step pads, four end caps, 16 square head screws, 16 serrated flange nuts, and 10 TEK screws for pad attachment.
The MEGA/GRIP steps are designed for 2014-newer RAM ProMaster vans. The installation instructions are specific to this vehicle platform, with separate driver and passenger side procedures.
The manual does not specify which vehicles the O-MEGA II steps fit. You must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle to determine compatibility and mounting procedure.
Required tools include an 11/32" drill bit, a 3/16" drill bit, a clamp, a straight edge, and a scraper or tool to remove undercoating. A socket wrench or wrench set will be needed to tighten fasteners.

Yes. The O-MEGA II steps require a bracket package specific to your vehicle. You must follow the instructions included with that bracket package to mount the brackets before attaching the steps.
Place the step pads (item #2) on top of the step plates. Using the holes in the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" pilot holes. Attach with five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (item #6). Repeat this process for all step pads.
Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in Figure 1, and tighten the serrated nuts (item #5) to 5 lb-ft.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Preassemble the front bracket (item 1) with the spacer bracket (item 6) using the 5/16-18 bolts with 5/16" washers and flange nuts (items 7, 12, and 13). Finger tighten only at this stage; do not fully tighten until later.
Mark the pinch weld for the front hole as shown in Figure 3. Line up the bracket assembly with the marked hole and mark the other hole. Remove the bracket and drill both marked locations using an 11/32" drill bit. Fasten the bracket to the pinch weld using the supplied fasteners (items 4, 10, 11, and 13). The top hole will be drilled later.
Locate the vertical body line directly behind the driver's door and follow it down to the pinch weld. The rear bracket (item 2) mounts behind that line. Place the bracket against the inside of the pinch weld and secure with a clamp. Scrape off undercoating so the bracket sits flat. Mark the center of all four holes, remove the bracket, and drill: two holes on the pinch weld and one on the angled surface toward the rear with 11/32" bits; one hole on the angled surface toward the front with a 3/16" bit. Remove the body plug on the angled surface toward the rear. Install the ¼-20 U-nut (item 8) over the 11/32" hole. Fasten the bracket using 5/16-18 bolts, washers, nuts, and retainer plate (items 5, 7, 12, and 13), leaving them loose. Fasten the U-nut with the ¼-20 bolt and washer (items 14 and 15). Fasten the 3/16" hole with the 5/16×¾" self-tapping screw (item 9). Tighten all fasteners.
Place a straight edge on the flat surface of the rear bracket, keeping it level with the vehicle. Move the front bracket up or down so its flat surface is level with the straight edge. Fasten the front bracket and spacer bracket snug. Mark the center of the top hole of the front bracket (item 1). Remove the bracket assembly and drill the marked location using an 11/32" drill bit. Remove the body plug next to the drilled hole. Install the U-nut (item 8) through the body plug hole and position it over the 11/32" hole (remove undercoating if needed). Reinstall the preassembled bracket using fasteners for the pinch weld area (items 10, 11, and 13) and the inner rocker panel area (items 14 and 15). Tighten all fasteners.
Yes, the passenger side installation follows the same procedure as the driver's side (steps 2 through 4), except the rear bracket will be item #3 instead of item #2.
Yes. Drilling is required at multiple locations. You will drill holes using an 11/32" drill bit (for most holes) and a 3/16" drill bit (for one hole on the angled surface toward the front of the vehicle). Undercoating must be scraped off to allow brackets to sit flat, and body plugs must be removed in specific locations.
Yes. Some undercoating must be scraped off so the rear bracket will sit flat with the pinch weld. Additional undercoating may need to be removed to install the U-nut properly.
Yes. You must remove the body plug on the angled surface toward the rear of the vehicle (near the 11/32" hole drilled for the rear bracket). You must also remove the body plug located next to the top hole of the front bracket so the U-nut can be installed.
The serrated nuts (item #5) on the end caps (item #3) should be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) that mount the step to the brackets should be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The O-MEGA II steps mount to the brackets using square head screws (item #4, part #106880, 5/16-18×1") and 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5, part #102680). Five screws and nuts are used per step, tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Step pads are attached using five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (item #6, part #107958) per pad. Pilot holes (1/8" diameter) are drilled first using the holes in the step pad as a guide.
The O-MEGA II steps use 33-inch aluminum extrusions (items 1 and 1, parts #553068 for silver and #553056 for black). Two extrusions are included per kit.
Two drill bit sizes are required: 11/32" for most holes (front bracket holes, rear bracket pinch weld holes, and rear bracket angled surface hole toward the rear), and 3/16" for one hole on the rear bracket angled surface toward the front of the vehicle.
