Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ram ProMaster 1500, 2500 and 3500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are available as model 583036 or 584036. Both models use the same installation instructions and parts.
The MEGA/GRIP Steps (part numbers 401471 and 571471) are designed for 2014-newer RAM ProMaster vans. Installation instructions are specific to this vehicle platform.
Yes. The instructions state you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle to mount the brackets. The bracket package is not included in the O-MEGA II step kit and must be obtained separately for your vehicle.
The O-MEGA II kit includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (33.00" OMEGA, available in silver or black), 2 step pads (aluminum, black), 4 end caps (plastic), 16 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 16 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 10 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The specific bracket package for your vehicle is ordered separately.
The bracket package includes: 2 retainer plates (galvanized), 2 spacer brackets (7 GA), 8 washers (5/16"), 4 U-nuts (1/4-20), 2 self-tapping screws (5/16 x 0.750"), 4 hex cap screws (5/16-18 x 1.00"), 4 washers (5/16"), 6 hex head screws (5/16-18 x 1.00"), 12 hex flange nuts (5/16-18), 4 hex head screws (1/4-20 x 0.750"), and 4 washers (1/4").
You will need a drill with a 1/8" pilot drill bit and a socket wrench or similar tool to tighten fasteners to the specified torque values (5 lb-ft for end cap nuts and 19 lb-ft for mounting fasteners). The specific bracket package instructions may require additional tools.
You will need a drill with 11/32", 3/16", and 1/8" drill bits, a straight edge, a clamp, a socket wrench or similar tool to tighten fasteners, and a scraper to remove undercoating from the pinch weld and angled surfaces where brackets mount.
Read the complete instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. Also obtain and review the instructions for the specific bracket package designed for your vehicle, as you must follow those instructions to mount the brackets.
Read the complete instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. You will also need to prepare the vehicle by scraping undercoating from the pinch weld and angled surfaces where the brackets will mount, and have a straight edge available for alignment.
Place the step pads (item #2) on top of the step plates. Using the holes in the step pad as a guide, drill 5 pilot holes with a 1/8" drill bit. Attach the pads using 5 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2", item #6). Repeat this process for all step pads.
Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in Figure 1, and tighten the serrated nuts (item #5) to 5 lb-ft. The end caps are plastic and mount to the ends of the step extrusions.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
1. Preassemble brackets with spacer brackets using 5/16-18 bolts, washers, and flange nuts (finger tighten only). 2. Mark and drill the front bracket holes (11/32"). 3. Fasten the front bracket to the pinch weld. 4. Locate, mark, and drill the rear bracket holes (11/32" and 3/16" as specified). 5. Remove body plugs, install U-nuts, and fasten the rear bracket. 6. Align the front bracket with a straight edge and drill the top hole (11/32"), install the U-nut, and tighten all fasteners.
The passenger side installation follows the same procedure as the driver's side (steps 2 through 4), except the rear bracket will be item #3 (MTG-BRKT, MIDDLE RH) instead of item #2 (MTG-BRKT, MIDDLE LH).
Yes. You must drill 5 pilot holes (1/8") through the step pads into the step plates to attach the step pads with tek screws. The bracket package for your vehicle may require additional drilling.
Multiple holes must be drilled in the vehicle's pinch weld and angled body surfaces: the front bracket requires one 11/32" hole in the pinch weld; the rear bracket requires two 11/32" holes in the pinch weld, one 11/32" hole in the angled surface toward the rear, and one 3/16" hole in the angled surface toward the front. A straight edge is used to align the front bracket before drilling its top hole (11/32").
Yes. Undercoating must be scraped off the pinch weld and angled surfaces where the brackets will sit flat. Additional undercoating may need to be removed to allow the U-nuts to slide into place over the drilled holes.
The serrated nuts (item #5) that secure the end caps (item #3) must be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) that secure the square head screws (item #4) to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The O-MEGA II step extrusions are 33.00" long. They are available in silver (part #553068) or black (part #553056) aluminum.
Three drill bit sizes are required: 11/32" (for most holes in the pinch weld and angled surfaces), 3/16" (for one hole in the angled surface toward the front of the vehicle), and 1/8" (for pilot holes if needed).
Read the complete instructions before starting installation. Ensure all required parts are on hand before beginning. Follow the specific bracket package instructions for your vehicle. Tighten all fasteners to the specified torque values (5 lb-ft for end caps, 19 lb-ft for mounting fasteners) to ensure safe operation.
Read the complete instructions before starting. Verify all required parts are on hand. Use a clamp to secure the rear bracket while marking holes. Remove body plugs carefully and reinstall them after fastening. Ensure the front bracket is properly aligned with a straight edge before drilling and tightening. Tighten all fasteners securely after installation is complete.
Yes, if your vehicle is a 2014 or newer RAM ProMaster van. The steps are designed specifically for this platform. Confirm your model year before purchasing.
Yes. The bracket package is vehicle-specific and must be ordered separately. The O-MEGA II step kit includes only the step extrusions, pads, end caps, and fasteners. You must follow the instructions included with your vehicle's bracket package to mount the brackets.
Yes. Multiple holes must be drilled in the vehicle's pinch weld and body panels using 11/32" and 3/16" drill bits. Undercoating must also be scraped away to allow brackets to sit flat.
Tighten end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft and mounting fasteners to 19 lb-ft. Use a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness.
Read all instructions completely and verify that all required parts from the Service Parts List are on hand. For the O-MEGA II, also obtain the bracket package instructions for your specific vehicle.
Loosen the 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) that secure the square head screws (item #4) to the mounting brackets. Reposition the step assembly so it is centered front to rear on the vehicle, then retighten the nuts to 19 lb-ft.
Loosen all fasteners on both the front and rear brackets. Use a straight edge placed on the flat surface of the rear bracket, positioned level with the vehicle. Adjust the front bracket up or down until its flat surface is level with the straight edge. Retighten all fasteners securely.
Undercoating may be preventing the bracket from sitting flat. Scrape off the undercoating from the pinch weld and angled surfaces where the bracket mounts. Ensure the bracket is positioned correctly against the pinch weld before securing it with fasteners.
Undercoating may be blocking the U-nut from sliding into position. Remove additional undercoating from the area around the drilled hole to allow the U-nut to slide in place properly. The U-nut must be positioned over the 11/32" hole before the bracket can be fastened.
