Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough a luminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps fit the following vehicles: Silverado/Sierra Regular Cab, Dodge Ram Regular Cab, Ford F150 Regular Cab, Ford Super Duty Regular Cab, Tundra Regular Cab, Toyota FJ Cruiser, and Ford Escape. Installation requires a vehicle-specific bracket package, which must be installed separately per the bracket manufacturer's instructions before the steps are attached.
Yes, the SES/GRIP Step Brackets (571031/401031) are designed for 09-16 RAM Regular Cab Pickups only. They are not compatible with other RAM cab styles or model years.
The O-MEGA II kit includes: two extrusions (aluminum, 51.0" or 57.0", silver or black), four step pads (aluminum, black), four plastic end caps, twenty 5/16-18 square head screws, twenty 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts, and twenty #8-18 x 1/2" tek screws. Exact extrusion size and colour depend on your vehicle model. Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
The bracket kit includes: front and rear mounting brackets (left and right), four M12 x 110mm hex head bolts, two 2.0" washers, four 3/8" rubber washers, twelve 3/8" flat washers, twenty 3/8-16 serrated flange nuts, eight 3/8-16 x 1.0" hex head screws, two 1/2" flat washers, four double-ended 3/8-16 x 4.0" studs, and two support brackets (for GRIP steps only). Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
Yes. On the right side of the vehicle, you must remove the factory front and rear body mount bolts. These bolts will not be reused. They are replaced with M12 x 110mm bolts at the front mount and M12 x 110mm bolts at the rear mount, as specified in the installation instructions.
On 1500 RAM pickups, check the rear body mount for a cast iron dampener. If present, remove it—it will not be reused. This step applies only to 1500 models and only if the dampener is present.
Yes. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes through the step plate. Attach each pad with five #8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (provided). Repeat this process for all step pads. The step pad location varies by vehicle model; refer to the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 of the O-MEGA instructions.
Yes, for GRIP steps only. After the step board is attached, hold the support bracket up to the board, mark the hole location, and drill a 3/8" hole in the step board. Attach the support bracket using a 3/8-16 x 1.0" screw, 3/8" flat washer, and 3/8" flange nut. Leave the support bracket loose until the step board is fully attached.
On the short threaded end of each load reaction stud: install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread, then install a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the nut. The stud end must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards near the bottom of the threads. This assembly must be completed before attaching the studs to the mounting brackets.
Insert each stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that allows the rubber washer to seat firmly against the frame side wall. Install a 3/8" flange nut on the outboard end of the stud, finger tight only. Do not fully tighten until the step board is attached and the rubber cushion is snug against the frame.
Using an M12 x 110mm bolt (item #7) and a 2.0" washer (item #8), install the front mounting bracket to the front body mount. Leave these fasteners finger tight until all brackets are positioned and the step board is attached.
Using an M12 x 110mm bolt (item #7) and a 1/2" flat washer (item #14), install the rear inboard mounting bracket to the rear body mount. Leave these fasteners finger tight. Then attach the rear outboard mounting bracket to the rear inboard bracket using three 3/8-16 x 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (items #13, #10, #11).
Position the O-MEGA step so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Install the plastic end caps (item #3) as shown in Figure 1 and snug up the nuts. Be careful not to deform the plastic end caps during installation.
Before attaching the O-MEGA steps to the brackets, place the step pads (item #2) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide (sheet 2) to position the pads for your vehicle. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes and attach each pad with five #8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item #6). Repeat for all step pads. Only after all pads are installed should you proceed to install the square head bolts and attach the steps to the brackets.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (item #4) to 19 lb-ft. These nuts secure the O-MEGA step to the mounting brackets.
Tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly to 19 lb-ft. Position the load reaction stud assembly so that the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame before tightening.

For Tundra Regular Cab, position Pad A at 6-1/2" from a reference point. Pad B is not used (N/A). These are suggested locations only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
For Toyota FJ Cruiser, position Pad A at 6-1/2" from a reference point. Pad B is not used (N/A). These are suggested locations only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
For Ford Escape, position Pad A at 5-1/2" and Pad B at 35-1/2" from reference points. The 2008-2012 Ford Escape will use two pads per side on the 585060 boards. These are suggested locations only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
The O-MEGA II fits Silverado/Sierra, Dodge Ram, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Tundra, Toyota FJ Cruiser, and Ford Escape Regular Cabs. SES/GRIP brackets fit 09-16 RAM Regular Cab Pickups only. Verify your vehicle model and cab style before purchasing.
You will need a drill to create five 1/8" holes per step pad and to install the tek screws. A wrench or socket set is required to tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft. Consult the separate bracket package instructions for any additional tools required for bracket installation.
You will need a drill to create a 3/8" hole in the step board (GRIP steps only), a wrench or socket set to tighten M12 and 3/8" fasteners, and a torque wrench to tighten the load reaction stud nuts to 19 lb-ft. Consult the separate bracket package instructions for any additional tools required.
Yes. You must remove the factory front and rear body mount bolts on the right side of the vehicle; these will not be reused. On 1500 RAM pickups, also remove any cast iron dampener on the rear body mount if present.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes per step pad using the pad as a guide, then attach with tek screws. For GRIP steps, you must also drill a 3/8" hole in the step board for the support bracket.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the O-MEGA II steps to 19 lb-ft. Tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on the SES/GRIP load reaction studs to 19 lb-ft. All other fasteners should be left finger tight until final assembly is complete.
Yes. The O-MEGA II and SES/GRIP step instructions assume the mounting brackets are already installed per separate bracket package instructions. Install the brackets first, then attach the steps.
The manual warns to be careful not to deform the plastic end caps when snugging up the nuts. If deformation occurs, stop tightening immediately. Deformed caps may not seal properly or may affect the appearance of the step. If deformation has occurred, contact the manufacturer for replacement end caps (part #107956).
Verify that the stud end is recessed approximately 3/16" into the rubber washer as specified in step 2.1. If the recess is incorrect, disassemble the stud and reinstall the rubber washer to the correct depth. Ensure the stud is inserted through the lowest hole in the bracket flange that allows the rubber washer to contact the frame. If the frame is bent or damaged, it may prevent proper seating; inspect the frame for damage.
Loosen the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (do not remove them completely). Reposition the step so it is centered front to rear on the vehicle, ensuring the square head screws remain in the slots of the mounting brackets. Once properly centered, retighten the nuts to 19 lb-ft.
