Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular trea ds that will never wear or crack. This package includes the side steps only and requires mounting brackets for a complete installation (sold separately).

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. (4) Drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide and attach the pads with five #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (item #6). Repeat for all step pads. (5) Install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. (6) Install the end caps (item #3) and snug up the nuts carefully without deforming the plastic. (7) Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. (8) Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet #2 to position the step pads for your specific vehicle. For example, Silverado/Sierra Regular Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4"; Dodge Ram Regular Cab uses Pad A at 10-1/2"; Ford F150 Regular Cab uses Pad A at 18-1/4"; Ford Super Duty Regular Cab uses Pad A at 6-7/8"; Tundra Regular Cab uses Pad A at 6-1/2"; Toyota FJ Cruiser uses Pad A at 6-1/2"; and Ford Escape uses Pad A at 5-1/2" and Pad B at 35-1/2". The note indicates these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Place the step pad (item #2) on top of the step plate. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes. Attach the pad with five #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (item #6) provided. Repeat this process for all step pads.
Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in figure 1. Snug up the nuts carefully. Be careful not to deform the plastic end caps.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Then install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) that attach the square head screws (item #4) to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.

Five #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (item #6, stainless steel, bright zinc plated) are used per step pad. These are provided in the kit.
5/16-18 x 1" square head screws (item #4, MagniGuard) are inserted into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates and into the slots of the mounting brackets. 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (item #5, stainless steel) are then installed on these screws and tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Be careful not to deform the plastic end caps (item #3) when snugging up the nuts.
